Stickers are things you put on the back of your computer or your notebook in school right? They’re something the dentist gives you to make you feel better after they rake your mouth.
How then are stickers useful for a business? You’re not going to be putting stickers on your cash register. Nobody is going to see the stickers you put on your laptop if you run an online business.
But there are uses for stickers beyond fun. You can take advantage of the fun and gain customers and revenue through stickers. Here’s how.
1. Wall Decals Are Stickers Too
I remember when I was a kid and we went to a wallpaper store. I saw this wallpaper mural that depicted the earth from the surface of the moon. My parents let me get it and they put it up.
The only problem was my parents sucked at wallpapering. The image wasn’t perfect because the thing came in strips and they just couldn’t line things up well enough while also working with the water and glue.
If we had had giant stickers instead of wallpaper, it might have been better.
Giant decals are much easier and cleaner than wallpaper or paint. You can stick them on almost any surface and with the right materials, you can easily remove them.
2. Stickers for Packaging
Stickers are one of the cheapest ways to label your products. Getting products printed with your logo is expensive. Things like bottles and tins are difficult to print on.
Why not use stickers to label your products instead? You can quickly create the product and label it and put it on the shelf. You won’t have to wait incredible amounts of time for your products to get to your store or warehouse just because of branding.
3. Serial Labels
Labels can come in bulk. If you need SKU numbers or “made in the USA” labels, you can order those in bulk. This allows both variety and money-saving.
4. Make Everything Yours
That machine isn’t an Apple machine! It’s your machine! Why not make it so?
What you need to do is print labels for branding on your own computer. Just print your logo and slap it on top of that Apple logo. Boom! It’s yours!
Do this with all the things. This includes staplers and office equipment. Have your employees do the same. When they leave the office with their laptops, people will think you commissioned special machines for your employees. Plus it’s incredible mobile marketing.
5. Make Your Car Your Brand
Are you driving around and advertising your business? If you’re not, you should be. Even if you own an online business, you can use your car as a mobile billboard.
Make sure your URL is easy to remember. If it is, then print out your logo and your URL or just your URL if it’s that cool. Then paste it on your car.
You can use vinyl stickers that are clear for window dressing. This way you can have your logo and still see through your window.
