Maybe you’re type A. Or maybe you’re just determined. But it’s almost October and Black Friday is going to hit and run before you know it. Thus you’re already shopping for the holiday season.
One of your best friends is an entrepreneur. They’ve built serval businesses and they’re the hardest people to shop for in the world. Why? Because they already have everything.
But here are a few things you may not have thought about.
1. The Five Minute Journal
Did you know that journaling your day could expand your IQ? It’s entirely possible.
But do you have time to write down your entire day? Instead of begining with “Dear Journal” why not just jump into what made you happy that day?
That’s what the Five Minute Journal Attempts to do. It gives you a quick inspirational challenge each day that will only take five minutes to write out.
This is the perfect gift for you time-strapped entrepreneur or freelancer slaving away at home. It will force them to take a moment and reflect.
2. A Phone Stand
Alright, you probably want to talk to your friend or spouse before buying them one of these. Some might not use it due to the distraction of having their phone on their desk all the time.
But for those who tire of losing their phone in the mess on their desk, a phone stand is the perfect gift. It keeps the phone in the correct position for both normal use and video calls.
What’s more is that it’s portable. You can take it downstairs and watch YouTube videos while eating. Or you can put it on the kitchen counter while you’re baking.
If you feel a phone holder isn’t right, maybe a tablet holder? Often, people confined to a desk might want an extra virtual workspace and thus keep a tablet on hand. They may not have a place to stand it up.
A tablet holder could help add an extra “screen” to their workspace without having to go in on a whole other monitor. And as this post says, it’s important to have a way to keep track of your eCommerce stats this Black Friday, so your eCommerce buddy will certainly want to have an extra workspace in front of his eye balls.
3. Any Coffee Maker Really
All my entrepreneur friends are coffee geeks. They’ve got pour-over stands and french presses. They love their single origin.
As a coffee snob myself, I love getting anything coffee related. And if you bought me a brand new espresso machine, you’d be in my good books forever.
That’s why I believe a coffee maker, especially a unique one, would be the perfect gift for an entrepreneur. Cause who has time to create the perfect pour over? If you could have a machine do it for you, wouldn’t you have it?
My sister bought me a coffee maker a couple of years ago. And it looks like your typical coffee machine. But it’s unique in that it pours perfectly to simulate a hand-poured pour-over. And really, I can hardly tell the difference between store-poured and home-brewed now.
4. A Subscription
My generation is obsessed with subscriptions. There are subscription boxes for everything. And it makes one day a month Christmas morning.
Thus, it’s incredible that there are subscriptions for entrepreneurs. Now, these subscriptions might not be as exciting as a subscription box, but your entrepreneur friend might be glowing when you send them the email confirmation.
A few to consider are:
- Skillshare: a course subscription for marketing skills and other skills
- ConvertKit: More courses and retreats
- Teachable: A user-based course setting
5. A Snippy Mug
One of my favorite mugs in my collection is one my mother-in-law got me. It says “Stay Calm and Write On.” It’s tall and white and perfect for work.
There are so many options out there for mugs. You’ve got ergonomic mugs, mugs that are practically cereal bowls (I’ve got a couple of those for intense coffee days), your plain old mug with some snippy saying. You really can’t go wrong with a mug.
Even if the mug isn’t entirely useful, you could still buy it for them. For your geeky entrepreneur, there is always a Thor mug. I mean, what’s better than drinking out of Thor’s head in the morning?
6. A Waterproof Notepad
The shower is my thinktank. And thankfully I don’t live in a drought region, cause I’ll admit it; I take long showers.
I sometimes have ideas I need to write down while I’m in the shower. I’ll often grab the towel, dry my hand, and reach over to the counter to grab my phone. It’s quite a process.
What if there were a way to write down my ideas without risking my smartphone’s life? Apparently there is! It’s called a waterproof writing pad.
It’s called Aqua Notes and it supposedly allows you to write with a pencil on a pad hung in the shower. And you don’t need a special pencil either.
7. The Tile
If you tallied up how much time you spend looking for misplaced things in your lifetime, you’d probably faint. I’m sure it’s many days or even years.
What if there were a way to track your keys like you can your smartphone? How about your wallet?
I personally lose my keys all the time. They end up in a pocket somewhere and then under a pile of papers or books.
The Tile solves this dilemma. It’s a small tab you attach to your keyring or slip into your wallet. It will alert you if you move too far away from it. It will ping when you activate the ping from your phone. And you can locate it if it’s lost in the city somewhere via GPS.
