Not that anyone shops at Barnes and Nobles anymore but I just saw on my create space account that they have picked up a large amount of inventory to stock at select locations around the country.

This is really interesting news cause 2 months ago when we hit the 30,000  copies sold mark I was approached by a publisher who told me the only way to get into traditional book stores was to invest $40,000.00 for renting the “shelf space”.  He said that these traditional book stores take zero risk now days unless they know they can make money on a book.

So lol…  Not sure if they think they can make money on it or if that was just total BS.

  1. This is a great read! Really fast and hell if you like a raw book that is honest this is one you should get.

  2. You are a true player in the book space now! I think by showing people you can start on Amazon and get picked up by a book store is huge. Is there an audio version?

  3. Super cool Jeremy, it’s been amazing to follow your blog all these years and seeing all the hard work you put in pay off.

  4. My favorite chapter was #4 . Way to crush it Shoe! How long did it take you to write this?

  5. hmmmm, that is weird someone would tell you that you have to pay to be in Barnes and Noble. I feel like they would want books that are selling and obviously you have sold a lot of books just on Amazon

  6. Did they say what locations they will be in?I am assuming all the Lincoln and Omaha stores will have a copy.

    1. No, not that I know of. If I end up finding out some of the locations ill send out an email to my mailing list.

  7. Wow, barnes and noble that is huge! Congratulations Jeremy. What an accomplishment

  8. $40,000 to “rent” space? Wow thats a lot.. its crazy how that all works so the only way you get on the shelf is to have money.

  9. Is this like the only book store standing? I have not seen any other book stores in a long time beside mom and pop shops

    1. I give it 10 years until mom and pop shops are the only ones standing.

  10. This is great and your book is gaining more demand.
So just continue your great work and let the people earn money for them.

  11. That Publisher was just trying to hustle you! The book store model is dead. There are very few book stores here in Toronto. Its not a big deal anymore to have your book in a physical store. Dont pay anyone, let them pay you!
