Line2 Rocks

So as many of you already know I decided to go back to the iPhone. The truth is the iPhone rocks but AT&T sucks, which is why I switched to Verizon/Android in the first place. Well that and the fact I’m a certified cell phone junky ;) Now what I couldn’t tell you when I recorded my last post was the real reason I switched back to my iPhone – Line2 2.0 VoIP / Cell Dual Mode App. At the time it was still in private beta but now anyone can get it. So with Line2 2.0 anywhere I have WiFi, like at home, my office, my hotel…, I don’t ever have to worry about AT&T’s crappy coverage. Basically Line2 adds my business number to my iPhone and lets me place and receive calls from that number over HD VoIP. Yeah, not only do I not have to worry about dropped calls but now I have great sound quality. Now If I’m stuck in my car and I absolutely have to take or make a call, which for me is almost never, Line2 automatically switches over to the cell network to receive/call out. So on those rare occasions I do have to risk AT&T hell, but the cool thing is the call is still coming from my biz number not my personal cell number. So before anyone goes, yeah but you can do that with Skype or Google Voice, let me tell you why Line2 rocks the iPhone way harder. First of all instead of using cell minutes for receiving calls like Skype and Google Voice, I get unlimited inbound and outbound calls over VoIP in the US and Canada. Another great feature about Line2 is that its integrated with Toktumi’s hosted PBX system so I get an auto attendant, caller specific handling rules, etc. plus conference calling up to 20 people. It even has a speakphone in the App. Now we’re talking major cool iPhone that blows away any other phone in the market. AT&T still blows but with Line2 it really doesn’t matter. Check it out for yourself.
