Great last 4 days with all the stuff we have been doing within world of MMA. All last week Dave and I put in a ton of consultation and work with a new fight league and their star fighter(s). The league will be holding a press conference today. The business partnerships with these organizations and their fighters have worked out better then I ever imagined possible. Our MMA involvement has grown to the point now where we will probably be hiring 1-2 more people at Shoemoney in the near future just to manage some of these relationships (please don’t start sending in inquiries yet… I will post if/when we have positions open).

Anyway UFC77 was a really awesome event. Seeing these fights outside Las Vegas is SUCH a better experience. I won all the fights I bet on also which made it even sweeter.

I went with David Dellanave (aka dillsmack) and Brad Alderman my neighbor and the best dentist in lincoln

Those of you into the world of Mixed Martial Arts might recognize some of these people-

From Friday nights party:

UFC ref Big John McCarthy

Kenny THE FINISHER Florian (i love this guy… he is so down to earth)

Sean Sherk

Announcer Bruce Buffer

Commentator Mike Goldberg

Then on fight night:

Rollin with UFC President Dana White on the way to the fight

Our friend 9 time (soon to be 10) champion of the world Matt Hughes

Commentator Joe Rogan:

These mickeys girls kept asking me for a picture. I said I would if they could look sexy… This was their best attempt:

Hey look you can see me on TV 😉

  1. I think I want to become an ultimate fighter, It would be a great way to relive my stress I think

  2. events with hot girls are good 😀 especially they initiate to take photos with you.
i cant really spot you on the tv if you never point it out…

  3. I can understand now why you don’t care about the RSS competition with john chow. Your closing deals with the UFC!

  4. yeah… i actually thought i recognized your half left ear on tv… j/k…

my personal pick is the blond girl in hte second picture 😉

  5. That looks awesome, I’m pretty jealous!! You have a great group of people around you.

  6. Wow.. looks like a great time! I want to check out a live UFC fight someday. Seems like getting tickets up close.. is the only way to go.

    hanji

  7. Did you gain some weight again? Stopped working out? Don’t forget your health, man 😉

Looks like you had a blast!

  8. Yea if your on the floor really if your not in the first 3 rows or so its better to be in the stands.

  9. I missed a full week of working out last week =(. I have a decent roll around my mid section still though from all the lose skin when I was 400+lbs It shows some when I sit. thanks for bringing it up dick (j/k)

  10. I noticed as well, but of course I noticed from my TV… does the shoemoney jet not have a gym?

  11. How about that Silva, eh? The man’s a class act and a friggin animal in the octagon. We might have another Royce Gracie on our hands here.

  12. I didn’t think this fight was as good as some of the other ones. I suppose if you were there, like shoe was, it would have been awesome, but overall its fights weren’t that great. I wished they would have shown McDonnald fight, I heard he lost. I was very disapointed in the Silvia fight, all he did (mostly) was use his wieght to tie up the other guy against the fense.

  13. You’re rolling with a pretty elite crowd there, must have been fun. It would be great to see a UFC event live let alone from that close!

Are you going to be attending the Hughes/Serra fight at the conclusion of the Ultimate Fighter series? I’m looking forward to that and hope Hughes puts a beating on Serra.

  14. I was scrolling through the pics and got stuck on the pics with the girls. You are always hanging with the pretty ladies. . .

  15. Off the subject: are you affiliated with site point, or is it some link that you make money on when people view/click/purchase? Just wondering.

  16. The best picture is the one with your neighbor.

I could not stop thinking of a doctor who likes to kick ass:)

His “about me” page is great. Here’s the message I got.

    1) I’m a dentist that will take care of you. “I’m gentle”
    2) If you don’t pay your bill you have me to deal with (look at wrestling pix).

    Seems like a good guy.

    Just awesome!!!

  17. You? Competitive? No way. As if the Dr. Shoemoney Challenges were competitive at all. Ok… so you were trying, and did take them serious after getting your butt kicked.

  18. What’s it mean when I can’t pick him out? I recognized Dillsmack and Shoemoney, but the rest I’m clueless.

  19. So what is your relationship with Monte Cox and M-1? How much of a sponsor will you be or are you actually going to be working for M1? Let us all know!

  20. wow looked like a lot of fun, can’t wait to hear about the new fight league, big fan of MMA from cage of fury, to pancrase, to now UFC but looking forward to a new league to take it to the next level and get that boxing type money for fights

  21. Nice to see you out rolling in my stomping grounds, Shoe! From those two pictures with the girls I can see you were pre-gaming at Gameday Cafe near the arena. I hope my home town of Cincinnati treated you well this weekend.

  22. probably shoemoney is bored of earning more money. other challenges interest him more 😀

  23. You’re working with M-1 and Fedor I take it? Looks like the UFC might have pissed off just enough people to start creating some competition for itself….there are some legit ones that are starting to gain some steam. I must admit though, Fedor’s legend has been tarnished by a) pride fighters coming to the UFC and getting clobbered b) His decision to avoid the organization with all the best heavyweights.

Too bad we’ll never see couture vs. fedor. So sad.

  24. Fedor needs to get his contract worked out.

  25. I am living in northern Japan near Russia now. I have learned that Russian are the toughest guys in the world, they work on fishing boats in t-shirts and no gloves when it is -10 c. I would always pick a Russian in a fight.

  26. Is MMA going to be added to the Shoe family competitions?

  27. Looks like a blast Shoe..What’s Joe Rogan like in person? and shame on those Mickeys girls for pestering you like that, but you’re a celeb!

  28. those mickey girls look HOT! Sexy is just a simpler word for them. seemed like a good match. BTW I did notice you advertising your website out there via your T-Shirt. Good stuff.

  29. Found this on my net travels:

And getting to roll with A-list internet marketing celebrity, ShoeMoney and his crew, Dave and Brian, was highly entertaining. Go check out his photos for pics of him with everyone from Dana White, Matt Hughes and the Mickey’s girls.

Quick funny Shoe story. I secured VIP passes for he and his crew at Bang, our big pre-fight club party on Friday evening. Lotsa celebs were in attendance, including Jenna Jameson.

So anyway, Shoe doesn’t drink often. Compared to me, that is. But this evening, with the party in full swing, Shoe drank enough to lose his equilibrium and fall down right in the middle of the VIP room.

As he’s laying there, shaking his head, trying to clear the cobwebs, he feels a strong hand on his shoulder.

Shoe looks up and its the referee, Big John McCarthy, who says, “Are you OK to continue?”

    Unbelievable.

  30. It was great to meet all of you – I look forward to talking with you more in the future.
