Matt Cutts has posted about how Googlebombs will no longer have an effect on Google search index. The most blatant and silly example of this was when George Bush’s whitehouse page used to show up #1 from the keywords “Miserable Failure”. Well now that the kids can no longer easily alter Google’s results you also now see George Bush’s bio ranks #1 for Great President.
Regardless of your political affiliation its pretty awesome Google has prevented the ability for GoogleBombing to effect its index.
So does this now mean that SEO contests will truly predict who has the best SEO? Well I think it takes out one element…
Shoe, I think it was “Their Miserable Failure”…
That’s too funny, from failure to great president.
What did google fix, exactly? 🙂
Its http://www.mattcutts.co.uk/blog not .com!
