I was idle in the webmaster radio chat room when I saw oilman post a link to this website.

Evidently this guy has a bet with his Girlfriend that if he can 2,000,000 hits she will have a 3some with him. Sounds fishy to me…

After looking over the site You see the only place to check out pictures of her is on There Metrodate profile… Metrodate profile? I thought she was his boyfriend… anyway its a affililate link anyway.

I had to call the contact listed for the whois and get the scoop!

  1. Help a guy get a threesome…

So this guy’s girlfriend will let him have a threesome if he gets 2 millions hits to his site within a year. Help a bloke out. What a great example of viral advertising! Update: Shoemoney has a conversation with the……

  2. Idiot Wins a Threesome

A guy named Jim bet his girfriend Allison that he could get 2 million visitors to a website. She didn’t think he could do it.
Talk about your good bets. If he loses, he wears a t-shirt for a week that says he’s an idiot. If he wins, …

  3. That was great & not something many people seem to do (that I’ve seen) – getting contact info off the Whois and actually phoning up for an interview! 🙂

I’d just heard of this story today and your interview here really authenticating the “event” for me – although I’m not 100% satisfied it wasn’t done to chalk up some affiliate money by using that dating site (via an affiliate link) as a means to contact the guy in question.

But their explanation is just possible enough to make me give them the benefit of the doubt. 🙂

    Great post as usual!

  4. […] Saw this post on Shoemoney’s blog this morning (Viral Marketing For The Win) and went over to check it out, after listening to the interview […]

  5. LOL This guy is lying! I reckon it’s a scam. Their form is just a spamfast as well.

Good idea though, wonder how much he’s making at metrodate?

  6. Get well Shoemoney, I have been waiting to see you eat something so I can get a t-shirt and so far all I’ve seen is your out sick sign.

Great interview, the guy seemed clueless, I wonder how much money his friend made off of the dating site and the donations?

  7. SCAM if I ever saw one. Where are the pics of the 2 of them and I bet people will back down pretty quick.
Thanks Shoe for calling a setting this straight.

  8. I should make a similar bet with my husband (I get to choose the sexual favour). Might make him pay a bit more attention to his websites and write some content for a change 🙂
