Kimberlee White of AKMG confirms Neverblue buyout

by Jeremy Schoemaker on March 28, 2011 · 39 comments

For the last week I have had many people write me or ask me in person if I have heard anything about the affiliate network Neverblue purchasing the Modeling Agency Affiliate networking company AKMG.

At first I dismissed the rumors. It didn’t really make sense to me why a powerhouse in the industry like Neverblue would want to purchase what seems like a newly formed company, AKMG.

But as I thought about the deal more it made more sense. First of all rumors are that AKMG are somewhat in trouble financially.

Neverblue is a Canadian based company rumored to be working on getting a US corporation.

If Neverblue can purchase or merge with AKMG for virtually nothing (watch terms will not be disclosed if it happens) then this is a really good move for Neverblue and also for AKMG if in fact they are in debt.

But again this is all just rumors but I wanted to write about it anyway… its much easier to get my thoughts out there on the rumored deal then respond to a bazillion questions about my thoughts on it.

So I emailed a few people I had emails for at NeverBlue and AKMG.

Within Minutes Kimberlee White of AKMG said to call her asap. She said that if I could hold off a little bit on posting we could work together and release the “big news” at the same time.

I said well thats fine and awesome for you but whats in it for me?

She got all pissy and said well you would have actual facts about the purchase.

I told her no thanks… I don’t want to syndicate her press release.

She told me she would have the CEO of Neverblue call me. I said I was just going to go ahead and post her confirmation.

So there you have it. Its going down. How will it exactly work? Stay tuned for the “official press release”.

So the rumors was actually true, it seems like kimberly was having an emotional issues of what happened. Since Neverblue was a canadian company, the purchase of AKMG has given the company positive effect because of the potential clients they can get in the U.S. Still, AKMG was blessed that a leading internet marketing company brought theirs.

Sounds like a good move on Neverblue’s part. Especially if they are getting a lot of US customer base out of it. Dangit, now Neverblue has my info! ugh, lol

You shoulda just let Neverblue/AKMG handle the news themselves, no one really cares anyway.

Great move on Neverblue’s part. AKMG is a solid network with a pretty stacked affiliate base for being so new.

You sound like a desperate, sexist loser when you make comments like the one in which you compare AKMG to a modeling agency. I’m sure they are all flattered by your admiration, but frankly, I don’t see what their appearance has to do with the value of their network.

I find it funny that a “bazillion” people would come to you to ask about AKMG, when it appears you have never worked with them at all, or know any of the owners/employees.

I don’t see how your unsubstantiated rumors are better than a press release. At least with a press release, we can hold someone responsible for the information contained within. You just get to throw wild speculation into the air and if it ends up being false, well who cares if anyone got hurt?

Here is a similar story

Neverblue, a global leader in Internet performance marketing, announced today that it has opened a regional Asian head office in Hong Kong.

According to Eric J. Gerritsen, Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Neverblue, “Global client demand for our service in the region has increased steadily in the past 24 months. There have been two catalysts for this growth: first, in Asia and globally, we have helped clients reach customers with the right message at the right time generating qualified leads to drive their sales funnels. And second, Asia is simply the largest and fastest growing Internet market in the world. This office will position us to meet and exceed that client demand and deepen our existing Asian relationships. Plus, it positions us to immediately absorb new advertiser accounts.”

Hey Shoe, I noticed you’re gaining weight again… And oh btw, you’re not PRWeb, so why don’t you let the big boys do the press releases :)

Jordan, that is kinda rude to talk that way you know. How would you feel if you got a comment like that? It was pretty harsh! The more you judge someone, the less you have time to love them! There are so many wonderful qualities of Jeremy (Shoe Money) and you should be focusing on those positive traits of his.
There are so many great things you can learn from him. And people enjoy compliments more than put downs. Do you put all your friends down?

Hm interesting,

The CPA network space is extremely crowded, it’s hard to run a business when there are 100+ competitors competing for pricing. I hope it works out for them, it always starts off so good…

lol funny thing that i see is that some replys are open-ended… Any “rumor” has some truth to it.. And in the end isnt it about takin the risk? or not takin it? If theres no risk theres no profits, IMO but hey compared to some in here that must be peanuts??

AKMG was in serious debt, missed payments of checks to affiliates. Obviously bought out for debt to Neverblue.
