Linkcontrol Unveil at Affiliate Summit West 2011 (SEMI NSFW)

Posted by

Here is the video from my sponsored session unveiling our newest product Linkcontrol at Affiliate Summit West.

Keep in mind the debut was at 6pm at night… and started at the same time as the National Championship Football game so I thought there was going to be like 20 people there.

I was wrong ;)

You can view my full 38 minute presentation including the epic Rob Hustle + our Linkcontrol AM’s dancing here:

Like I said before everyone who was in the audience will receive a free account for life. (we gave out over 800 invite codes!!).

Special thanks to Rob Hustle for coming up with a KILLER rap intro.

Ian Fernando has a better closeup video of Rob and the girls getting down here:

I think our Linkcontrol affiliate managers did a great job on the intro:

Tina Lee, Angelique Castaneda, Ashley Alvarez, Nikita Esco, and Monique Palma

(I was sticking my chest out to try to fit in…)

Welcome Tina Lee, Angelique Castaneda, Ashley Alvarez, Nikita Esco, and Monique Palma to the Linkcontrol team.

For everyone asking for invite codes we will start to slowly accept new members starting next week so make sure you get setup.

That show was a lot of fun. Thanks to Shoemoney for putting that together, and thanks to Nikita and the rest of the dancers for putting it down vegas style! Here are the lyrics for the rap:

    CHORUS
you need some link control, so you can get paid
forget that 9 to five, baby we self made

we make it online, cuz that’s the way we do
come click this link i think i got something to offer you

    VERSE
the network is stealing my campaigns
i know that they’re using my data to target my demographics
affilates jacking my landers don’t even change out the graphics

thank god that i been cloakin my traffic about to go do something drastic
i find out who’s takin my money you know that they gettin they ass whipped

i became an affiliate just to escape from my 9 to 5 hell
i aint lockin away in a cubicle might as well lock me away in a cell

    i tell

anybody that want to be free, you always a slave if you working for wages
once you start making money online
you find that the shit can get kinda contageous

but you can’t be a dummy with monetization
cuz profitability really its just a condition
    resulting from testing and optimization
running your ads at the right time of day
    mixed with some geolocation
combined with the maximum payout available
scale it and crush it with mass automation

    CHORUS x2

Hated the “rap crap” and you lost a lot of my respect by degrading women. Both were totally unnecessary and didn’t add a thing to the value of your product. I mean really, when you have a daughter that age are you going to like seeing her nearly naked and watching men undress her the rest of the way with their eyes/imagination.

Pretty crappy marketing Shoe. I think it devalued your product on many levels.

      Thanks for the comment….

Maybe someday you could crawl out from the bridge you live under and put in a real email that does not bounce when I try to contact you (or website for that matter).

Until then I will keep having fun ;)

(btw you can stop commenting under fake names from the same IP).

      @Mary-

Have you ever met Jeremy? I can see you might not like Rap music but to say Jeremy is degrading to women is silly.

Did you miss the part about all the women on the board of directors for this product?

Did you miss the part about Jeremy raising over $37,000 for breast cancer research?

Yea sounds like someone who loves to disrespect women. Get a life.

    3. Hotdogman

It’s LAS VEGAS fercryinoutloud! Everything is supposed to be over the top. CHILL. I have four daughters and I had a nice chat with the girls before the show. They were all very bright and engaging. The intro was entertainment-there were a lot of women in the audience and they were all into it. Besides, the girls were dressed rather conservatively for Vegas. Rap’s not my thing, personally, but the whole spirit in the room was really cool (yeah I was there- I even took a picture with the girls).

  3. TheSandMan5050

I knew I should have ditched the client call and attended ASW instead! Awesome launch. Those girls were distracting though.

  4. The American Dream

Boy, was the line long for the Link Control show at the Affiliate Summit West! Glad I still managed to grab a seat just right next to the door and get my *free* lifetime membership code just after a few minutes into the action.

    1. Get That Ball

Let us know if you’re planning to launch another product again soon. I wouldn’t want to miss an event like this one again.

  5. Bryan Jake T

I’d probably not be able to make sense of Rob Hustle’s rap if I were there. I’d be too distracted by those go-go-go girls behind him.

    1. Robin Sterling

I could have appreciated Rob’s rhymes a bit better if there were drinks served. Why don’t you drop by my place, Rob, and you rap while I sip a couple of rounds of Manhattans?

  6. KrisM77

“A recent survey conducted by the Affiliate Summit found that of the 2,000 affiliates who participated over 65% thought the affiliate network they were working with was not giving them credit for sales they were getting. Over 80% of affiliates said they believe their affiliate network is stealing their data to run their own campaigns.” The pitch that got me instantly hooked. Thanks for the free code, Jeremy.

    1. sasha_482

I saw the video on the Link Control site. A very useful tool for affiliates. I like the idea of testing links in other networks without sacrificing my main income stream.

  7. WanderingMommy

Speaking of payouts, how do you really know which one is going to convert the best for you? Well, I’ve nothing to worry since I already signed up for Link Control, baby!

  8. FirenzeZ

Have you got any updates on the Humongo Nation tour this year? I hope there will be another Raleigh leg so my startup online dog grooming service can be featured.

    1. ExclaimedIdeas

You know, I’ve always dreamed about bagging that interactive designer position they announced just a couple of months ago. Well, I hope they have an opening soon so I can join their team. *daydreaming*

    1. melg

I only viewed the shorter clip. I’ll watch the other one later. Congratulations on the launch, Jeremy!

      1. California Dreamin

Uhm, it’s a product launch. Not a show. I guess the rapping and dancing confused you.

  9. Dandundun

Every year, the Humongo Agency embarks on a nation wide social media tour stopping over at some of the most creative places and visiting some of the most creative people in the United States. Where will they visit next this year?

  10. Chozen

Yow that rap intro was solid, is that guy an affiliate marker because the lyrics were so on point, I will forever regret not being able to make it out to Affiliate Summit West 2011. Now I’ll have to pay for LinkControl.

  11. sb

Despite the recession in Las Vegas, it’s nice to see some people are finding work. I’m sure looks have nothing to do with it.

  12. Dukeo

Just watched the 38 minutes video and I must say that this product looks just great. A lot of great features to increase your revenue… Can’t wait to get my hand on an account and try the automated features!

  13. Kevin

I missed out on the sexy girls and the FREE account! :( That was a GREAT presentation Mr. Shoemoney. You’ve done it again with this product…

  14. Bryan Shearer

Great way to get people talking about your product. Whether positive or negative about the way it was unveiled, you still got attention. Best of luck with your new product.

  15. krillz

The vid was dope, intil the commercial started with that voice… I’m sorry I had to turn it off due to getting panic about not being able to breathe.. always get that when listening to someone talking through their nose like that.

  16. JJ

    LMFAO
Jeremy, your chest looks like an b-cup at best, lmfao
Maybe you should market some enhancers….

    Here’s an idea…. the male bra…..

    lmfao
great video btw! I wish I was there!

  17. heckman13

What is “Chart B” that you mention near the end of the first video where you are talking about the interface ?

    Hey,

I attended Jeremy’s presentation, “A Beginner’s Course on Blog Monetization”, Affiliate Summit West 2011.

    I really appreciated this presentation.

I missed the Linkcontrol.com unveil by my own accord so I did not receive an invite code :(.

Something interesting I found, http://www.eca.sh/, “Free Viral URL Shortener Earns You Easy Money Doing What You’re Already Doing! Includes Free Affiliate Link Brander And Detailed, Real-Time Stats”.

Now that Jeremy’s no compete is up, I feel some similar feature to the Linkcontrol.com application would be interesting as well.

    Thank you, DW

  21. Steve Sprague

Hi Jeremy, Great presentation!! Now mind you, I have little computer skills but what you describe you will be able to accomplish with LINKCONTROL sounds remarkable. I am a 60 year old, hard working, but unemployed Carpenter, Married with 3 boys and at age 60 I’m looking to change to a profession that I can support my family and not be so stressed as to how I’m going to pay next weeks bills. My bank account always seems to be in the negative and I’ve got to turn things around fast. I know WHA-WHA-WHA. This was my choice some 35 years ago. Poor Choice!
I am inspired by your success and the way you truly seem to want to help people like me find away to enjoy life.
While looking for away to pay my mortage is month and being turned down by all the eloan sites. (Poor credit, unemployed) I came across your Shoemoney site. And after doing some research I found LINKCONTROL.
Which sounds amazing. I immediately wanted to sign in and get an account started even though I didn’t know what to do with it yet. I’m desperate and need help in changing my career before it’s to late.
Is there any possibilty that you ,and or, your staff could consider me as a “project”: or a “guinnie pig” and help me to get on the road to financial success. I am more than willing to put the time in I just don’t have the working capital.
I appologize for being so wordy but I need someone to believe in me.
    Sincerely,
    Steve Sprague

Hi, I am really happy I’ve found this information. Nowadays bloggers publish just about gossip and internet stuff and this is actually irritating. A good site with exciting content, that’s what I need. Thanks for making this website, and I will be visiting again.

  23. Phuket

I have to express my thanks to you just for rescuing me from this particular crisis. Right after exploring throughout the the web and meeting opinions that were not powerful, I figured my life was gone. Living without the solutions to the problems you have fixed through the site is a crucial case, as well as the kind which might have adversely damaged my entire career if I hadn’t come across your web site. Your own skills and kindness in playing with every part was vital. I am not sure what I would’ve done if I had not encountered such a step like this. It’s possible to at this time look forward to my future. Thanks a lot so much for the specialized and amazing guide. I will not be reluctant to endorse your blog post to anybody who needs care about this issue.

My spouse and i got quite fortunate that Albert could finish up his preliminary research while using the ideas he obtained through the blog. It’s not at all simplistic just to happen to be giving out information that a number of people might have been making money from. We really do know we have the blog owner to thank for this. The type of explanations you made, the easy website navigation, the friendships your site make it possible to promote – it is everything astonishing, and it’s helping our son in addition to the family reason why the idea is entertaining, and that’s quite fundamental. Thanks for all the pieces!

  25. Nathan Vu

I envy you! It looked like you have a lot of fun. However you have to stick your chest out and tuck your stomach in to match them. You did good at sticking your chest out though. And thank you for not using that stupid LiveFyre. John Chow installed that and it sucked hard. I hope your Blog stay cool like it always has.

  26. Peter

Oh how wonderful – I try login to my account this AM and I can’t. Support tells me your Link Control has been shut down indefinitely.

    Wtf?

Did you notify your customers? I never received any notice, and have lost traffic and $ because of this lack of support.

Next time I suggest you alert your members if you are shutting down a critical hosted service like this.

    -Peter

  27. Mark Mead

I think the idea was to grab everyone’s attention, which the stunt sure did. Not very tastefully done though.
