It is the ad platform that will allow marketers to integrate social media sponsorships and direct product placements into their marketing campaigns. Unlike traditional advertising networks, placementads.com publishers have full control of ad rates and full transparency of the sponsored ad messages. Advertisers benefit from buzz, traffic, and branding.

You can also check out their blog - blog.placementads.com for a behind the scenes look on the site, case studies, industry news, and more.

Looks more pro than a lot of the other services out there. May have to look into this.

It sounds like a great alternative to adsense. Buying and selling placement ads for websites, blogs, YouTube, etc. should give you the option of choosing the best rates.

Not to mention Facebook and Twitter. The opportunity to leverage on high-traffic social networking sites is going to be worth the investment.

I know a lot of people who are so passionate about the social media platforms they’re using and who have an even more huge following than some of the brands’ fan pages I know. This could be a great platform for them to finally start earning incomes from what they do for fun.

It sure is nice to earn from something that you enjoy doing.

It can be a useful and cost-effective platform for advertisers to have placed products as entry points to their online catalogs. It’s not just a tool to improve brand recognition but can be used to actually increase sales.

I read that study shows ads running with related content are more likely to be recalled than ads running alongside unrelated content. The same study also found that social networking portals are among those sites that have a high advertising recall. This service would sure help advertisers take advantage of the opportunities that research seems to indicate.

Reply

17 PokeYerFace January 9, 2011 at 7:11 pm

Why would anyone place ads on a totally unrelated site? That’s just a waste of money since you can’t expect much conversion from that. You might get a few clicks but as for conversions…highly doubtful.

Reply

18 Austin January 9, 2011 at 7:30 pm

Well, some unrelated sites could actually turn out to be useful at some point. But I agree, it’s better to invest more on more targeted campaigns.

The operative words being “strategic placement”. I’ve learned that lesson well during my first attempts at buying placement ads. Now I make it a point to choose the sites or blogs that offer the best value for my money.

Reply

Both publishers and advertisers would be able to choose the best rates as well as the types of ads that would go well with the sites’ content.

Reply

37 Melanie Johnson January 10, 2011 at 6:52 pm

Advertisers get the best value for their money on sites where publishers have established a good relationship with their readers. This usually indicates quality content and strong readership.

Reply

38 MVZP_01 January 9, 2011 at 5:43 pm

This should be great for advertisers who want more control on where their ad shows. From what I see so far, it’s a win-win deal for both publisher and advertiser.

41 Almira Keefe January 10, 2011 at 6:59 pm

I think the best course of action is still optimizing your website or blog so that it will be as consistent and significant to most users as well as browsers. When you complete that, you’re surely good to go. This is not a one-time shot though. Being relevant also means being as fresh as possible. When you get your pace, inject Placement Ads and you’re ready for the big league.

Reply

42 WhateverWorks January 9, 2011 at 6:04 pm
