I think I’ll take the e-book to double my sales because my sales on my site were so bad I had to take the products off,but now hopefully this book can change that. :)

I think I’ll be finally completing my first website by 3:45 this afternoon. Thanks for the heads up, Shoe. This is truly one cool list.

Chris Farell has completely got all the tricks you need to get your site up and running in a snap. Thanks, Shoe, for sharing this excellent method of making bucks online. The bonus gifts are just too tempting to pass up, too.

A cow in a Shoemoney shirt. Now I’ve truly seen everything! Best wishes from Boston.

I stumbled upon a post from WikiHow the other day that advised all web marketing enthusiasts to give freebies. In my book, who doesn’t like a freebie? Online freebies are commonplace and they leave the visitor wanting more when they are well written and informative introductory materials. How about a freebie for me then, Shoe?

Now this 250 bucks a day setup is really interesting. Kudos for posting this here, buddy.

I learned from the Work From Home Resources blog that “your goal as a webmaster and online business owner is to get as many “votes” for your website as possible so that it becomes popular in the eyes of search engines.

Once your site becomes popular, it’s then considered an authority. Obviously this is important for every website owner as they’re goal should be to stick out and stand above the thousands of other websites in their chosen field (niche).”

What do you think? Does this sum up the deal on backlinks and their importance?

Is e-mail marketing still a great idea these days, Jeremy? It may be messy for some people but effective for the cost. What’s your two cents’ worth on this?

With Lock a Like’s state of the art tracking system, I can immediately see what content on my blog gets shared the most, and exactly what network it gets shared on. I can even easily track the content that gets shared on FB without much effort. Two thumbs up.

Using off-line marketing is still a must in the web marketing world, too. Promote your site. Put your url on all your license plates. Paint it on your car. Buy newspaper and yellow pages ads with your url. Put up flyers and stickers. Sponsor a little league team. Do anything and everything to spread the word about your website around your city. (Got my inspiration from Humongo Nation.)

Did you find the “If you hate getting more visits to your site, please do not buy. Thank you.” notice in their website?

My blog was visited by 10 people this morning and I was just surprised to see my content all over Facebook. Definitely a must-try in my book. Crossing my fingers to gather more relevant traffic in the next few days!

Make it your continuous goal to get as many links into your site. That includes getting links to more than just your home page and using your keywords as part of the anchor text. SEO may not be that hot here on the Shoemoney blog but I still think it plays a crucial role in the web marketing scene.

Patience is a virtue. Search engines need a lot of time to index a new website and domain. They need time to index all your content; it’s worth the wait and should be factored into your website profitability and/or popularity timeline. In the meantime, continue to add high quality content to your website and keep it up to date and relevant.

Include a link to your blog as a standard part of all outgoing correspondence such as sales letters, reports, white papers, etc. Heck, why not advertise your website or blog on your car, too?

My axiom for increasing traffic to my WP site? Figuring out what key words and phrases are going to be important to my blog and stick to them until I make a mark on my particular niche. What do you think, Jeremy?

Good list of advice. Work hard, work smart and you will have success. These are all great suggestions. A personal advice from me, though. The internet is a great place to stand out for the right reasons. If you stay anonymous, no one will feel a connection to you and want to keep visiting your blog. Just be yourself, don’t pretend to be someone you’re not, and people will love you for it. I promise.

Just as I learned here in Shoe’s blog, readers like to feel important and a lot of them like to talk. The next time you write a post, ask them a question or their opinion on something. You’ll receive a lot more comments and many of the visitors will be more likely to come back. Now you know why I am a staunch Shoemoney fan for three straight years! :P

What happened to the superb logos that you can get for less than $50? Saw them for a while on the Shoemoney blog and when I do want to get a logo, it mysteriously disappears. Help me out on this, Jeremy.

A bit sort but still a superb list, Jeremy. (By the way, got any updates for next year’s Humongo Nation tour? I would really love to be in their itinerary for the 2011 gig.)

Here’s a few pointers from Allan Gardyne on how to find backlinks using Google

You can use link:example.com

For more reliable results, type the following command into the Google search box:

example.com -site:www.example.com -site:example.com

(Remember to type in your actual site, not “example.com”.)

Doing this shows you pages that link to your site, minus the links on pages on your own site.

(You’ll also see sites that just mention your site but don’t actually link to it.)

BEWARE: A Google backlink check teases us. It does NOT show all the backlinks that Google knows about.

The easiest and most practical solution to get more and more traffic for your site? Get a proofreader. Poor spelling and grammar reflect badly on the services and information being provided. Avoid unwarranted negative judgments by getting the writing in order prior to publication online.

I came across this concept when I was browsing my favorite CSS blogs this morning — “Common ways to get backlinks include exchanging links with other sites (reciprocal links) and by placing articles you write in article directories and on other sites. Perhaps the most effective way of all is to create such a useful, fascinating site that other sites voluntarily link to yours.” — Is this even applicable? I mean the mention of reciprocal links seems too much…

Besides using ads, you must make use of numerous other ways to increase web traffic. Sit down and write a list of all the ways you can think of to get your web address noticed and clicked on. OR you can just get access to the backlinks posted right here.

Well-planned just-in-time-for-the-Holidays posts take the cake on this one. When a major holiday rolls around, write about it. When Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or another big holiday comes, make a post about it a month beforehand. Give yourself time to be indexed and linked to. When the holiday comes, it will be searched for a lot and your site could be found!

I learned from the recent BlogWorld conference that developing relationships with all kinds of bloggers, especially those also in your niche, is a must if you want to get to the big leagues. Comment on their blogs, have conversations, link to them, make friendships. And before you know it, they’ll be linking to you too and maybe sending some traffic your way.

Join forums and message boards related to niche. If it is permitted, link to your site or blog when/where you can. Other people on the forum are very likely to check out your site. Couple this with Lock a Like and you’re definitely good to go.

Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche. Please don’t write things like “nice blog” or “great post.” Write intelligent, useful comments with a link to your blog. Now what did I win, Shoe?

Interesting and useful content is still one of the best ways to generate traffic. Using a wide array of strategies certainly helps but it all boils down to quality products and content.

Hi, I am really happy I’ve found this information. Nowadays bloggers publish just about gossip and internet stuff and this is actually irritating. A good site with exciting content, that’s what I need. Thanks for making this website, and I will be visiting again.
