I’m still waiting for my confirmation mail though. Shoe, would you stop keeping me on the edge of my seat and send me the go signal already? I think I landed the 20th spot yesterday. Kudos in advance :D

I heard over the grapevine that the Clift will be offering a super exclusive treatment to this year’s Retreat participants. While I’d love to join, I still have a start-up online bookshop to take care of. Hope you guys have a blast.

Now this is the fastest Retreat sellout ever. Does the fact that you lowered the figures from 50 to 30 contribute to this speedy rate, Jeremy?

Good luck and have a grand time at the ER!

I didn’t expect that most of the slots would be gone this soon. I’ll try to snag one slot if I still could. Brb.

Why are you moping? Shoe announced that there are still seven sweet spots available and I hope I could land a spot. Elite Retreat 7 is just too hot to miss, baby!

Imagine the pandemonium when Shoe announces tomorrow that there are only a couple of slots left. Remember the Glenn Frey song? “Someone’s gonna cry when they know they’ve lost you/Someone’s gonna thank the stars above…”

I just couldn’t quite imagine all of the facepalms happening right now across the country. If you can’t join this year’s Retreat, why not put your cool face and hope next year you’ll be luckier?

There’s still 9 slots left, right? You just might get a slot if you hurry and register now.

Can I use the SBA peer-to-peer program to loan $5k and then use it to fund my Elite Retreat expenses? Then even up the ante on the privileges by mentioning I saw their ad on the Shoemoney blog. Quite far-fetched right now but when I succeed, it’ll be EPIC.

I beg to differ. Getting the opportunity of hearing Matt Mickiewicz – Entrepreneur, Business Growth Expert share his secrets would be epic.

I can’t say enough about the event. The EliteRetreat was the foundation for a huge percentage of the people I know in the industry. Not only do you learn a ton from the speakers/consultants but the value of the attendees is amazing. You will meet some of the smartest, nicest people amongst the attendees. I just can’t recommend it highly enough.

14 seats gone poof since yesterday but that’s just making me even more hyped up! I know I’d still make it to the magic seven and complete the ER7 with flying colors. What say you, Jeremy?

Reply

19 The American Dream September 28, 2010 at 6:08 pm

Thanks for the heads up, Shoe. I haven’t been as hyped as this since we partied at the Playboy Mansion last year with Mike Sprouse and the rest of his crew. San Diego, get ready to have the Shoemoney experience!

I understand he’s the key note speaker for ER7 as well, yes? That man’s going to places.

21 Jona712 September 28, 2010 at 6:19 pm

Could you imagine the cost for one company these days to have these web marketing geniuses to all come in separately for 2 days and go over the most sought-after topics in ER7? This is definitely a steal at $5K.

22 newmediaist12 September 28, 2010 at 7:01 pm

I figured what the heck and just put in an application for the Elite Retreat 7. I look forward to meeting everyone if accepted.

Now, that’s the spirit! Let me borrow 4 big ones and you’re certainly good to go. <=== Conning just to join the ER7

24 Feeding Frenzy September 28, 2010 at 7:45 pm

Yes it is. But entry fee is still a lot more expensive than most of the conferences I’ve ever been to.

Reply

25 Tool September 28, 2010 at 7:56 pm

Well, it’s not exactly the regular kind of deal you get from conferences and workshops. I mean, one-on-one with industry experts? You don’t get that unless you’re lucky to ambush the speaker for a chat.

26 Nikki Stewart September 28, 2010 at 8:23 pm

Excellent point! I couldn’t agree more.

27 John Dillon September 28, 2010 at 9:38 pm

Needless to say ER promises to be the perfect venue to pick the brains of industry experts and a bunch of smart attendees.

I hear you man. That’s why it sucks that I can’t go.

29 WhateverWorks September 28, 2010 at 9:47 pm

Those one-on-ones are probably one of ER’s unique selling points. I think that’s were you get real value for your money.

Now that will make the competition even fiercer. Shoemoney Battle Royale, commence!

Wow! Only 9 slots left? Last I checked there were still 21 passes up for grabs. Looks like you’ll be closing registration shortly, Jeremy.

Some people don’t even know how to count. There are still 9 seats left, people! (Come to think of it, even I would go bonkers for a sec if I found out I couldn’t join the Elite Retreat.) Last one to sign up sucks eggs.

Is it just me or is the Shoemoney Blog full of scantily-clad women? Hmmm. An affiliate deal with Hugh Hefner in the works, Jeremy?

38 Zheng Bao Shang September 28, 2010 at 8:30 pm

No matter how you see it, the ER7 is really really expensive. 5K for a two-day seminar? Kinda cool but not practical.

Reply

39 Kevin A September 28, 2010 at 6:51 pm

I feel bad sitting this one out because of a month-long business trip. I’ve been planning to register for this soon after I heard about it from a friend last year. Maybe next year.

Shoe, is there a possibility if you increase the number of participants next year the 5K admission fee will be lessened? (I can’t join since I lack the dough, buddy :( )

“After registration, each attendee is screened to ensure the Elite Retreat will full-fill your expectations. If there is any doubt in our minds, that we can’t 100% achieve your goal, we will not allow you to come and waste your money.” — Sounds fair.
