My Big Give – Free Shirt Friday

by Jeremy Schoemaker on August 13, 2010 · 17 comments

My Big Give is a site that allows you to support the causes you care about (like the Humane Society, American Red Cross, Ecotrust and tons more) by buying the brands you love (including Lego, iTunes, Petsmart, you name it they probably have it.) It looks like they can do this by allocating a percentage of their affiliate fees to the charity you choose.  A great idea and a well done website I can’t wait to see how this progresses through the years.

What a great idea… and a good cause. When greed and selfishness run rampent in the business world today, its good to see someone making the effort to improve others status in life and not just their own. I am not naive, I realize the profit potential of a marketing plan like this, but at least others will benefit at the same time. Thanks again to Shoe

I am glad you like it! We are working hard to drive revenue to causes that truly matter to consumers on a personal level. Yes, there is profit potential with this idea BUT, it allows us to continually invest in our platform going forward and bring out the largest amount of value for consumers, vendors, and most importantly the causes. :)

Nice concept for a charity. I usually pass on the charity options when I am building Hubs etc. and keep the cash for myself.

This is a great site. I’d rather buy something where the money I spend supports a good cause.
