I ran into Squeeze’s Chris Difford three years ago when he was holding a music-writing workshop in South East London. Considered a pioneer in the music industry even before, the guy never seems to lose steam. By the way, I just received my exclusive Saturday Morning Music Club video and b-side set over the weekend and it’s pretty cool.

Chris Difford’s Saturday Morning Music Club is not an album — it’s an experience. I have been getting the good stuff for over a month now and I am still ready for more.

Do you have any tips where to look for materials that can help me polish my affiliate marketing skills? I’ve already downloaded Josh Todd’s PPV 101 and I am just too eager for some more learning.

Selling online is different from the other aspects of sales. It’s much trickier and requires a more specialized strategy to successfully get off the ground. My sincerest thanks to you for giving us newbies a peek of what things to take care of to join the big leagues.

I just browsed the Logonerds portfolio and those guys can surely make impressive designs. How about asking them for a Shoemoney Blog logo makeover, Jeremy?

Josh, a friend of mine who works as the lead web designer for the music site Blue Fringes, was so impressed with Logonerds that he is already ordering his fourth design in six months. Maybe I’ll check them out when I need a logo done in the near future.

Shoe, how about featuring fresh resources on social network marketing? Do you think the games business (e.g. Zynga) is flourishing these days? Or are they just a temporary fad that will disappear in a blink of an eye?

I guess the online gaming business is just starting to evolve. With the onset of the WOW craze, more and more spin-offs are expected to come out in the next few months.

The first step to get a potential customer engaged is through visual means. As long as you keep him or her loaded with aesthetics, you won’t have a problem making a sale sooner or later. Thanks for the superb list, Shoe.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Twitter has lost its web marketing flair when spammers and con artists managed to infiltrate the microblogging site. Initiating a marketing push via Twitter these days is a waste of time. What’s your take on this, Shoe?

34 Cristina Dy July 19, 2010 at 11:11 pm

In this day and age, almost all design firms are relying on digital means to accomplish a project. I’m an art aficionado myself and I believe time will come when even the most uncomplicated sketching jobs will revolve around Photoshop and other technical programs.

Wait a minute! Chris Difford doesn’t look like he aged even a bit! I fell in love with his music when he released Cowboys Are My Weakness in 2002. It’s edgy and classy at the same time unlike the trash you hear on the radio nowadays.

Shoe, can you provide more details on the $10k loan? Although I rely on your blog for the latest on web marketing updates, I am still hesitant to jump on the bandwagon when there is money involved. And 10k is a lot of cash, man.

I started subscribing to MyLinkClub.com just two weeks ago and I initially thought that it would eventually turn up nothing new just like the other backlink services I utilized before. Well, what do you know? My small online boutique has been getting more and more unique visitors daily for less than the price of a steak dinner!

39 Husher50 July 19, 2010 at 11:26 pm

I studied art in college and learned that the most impressive designs were done using sheer sketching. Almost all design firms today are relying too much on CGI to do the job. Cutting corners has never been my style and I still like the old-fashioned way of getting it done.

When did peer-to-peer lending start to flourish, Shoe? Is it available all over the world? Is this similar to social networking albeit involving loans and financing terms? So many questions, so little time.

I noticed that this list has the most number of items ever. Can we expect a more detailed directory-esque format in the future?

Reply

44 WilmaP July 19, 2010 at 11:30 pm

Pardon me but I think Chris Difford is a bit overrated. He’s got a nice voice, really, but it doesn’t seem to meld perfectly with his music.
