Mailbox Forwarding – Free Shirt Friday

by Jeremy Schoemaker on February 19, 2010 · 31 comments

Mailbox Forwarding is an innovative new service that allows you to have your paper mail available to you at any time any where in the world. First when your mail arrives they scan the envelope and email you the image, from there you can decide if you want to open and scan the contents, shred and recycle the item, or forward it to any address in the world unopened. Every thing is done in a secure place and once an item is scanned and emailed to you the original is sealed and placed in storage until you decide what to do with it next. This could be the next best thing for traveling business people. Take a look at www.mailboxforwarding.com

This is quite an interesting concept actually, snaps, first of all I can say I haven’t even really thought of anything like this, and second, yes it would be great for someone on the go such as a CEO, or some sort of executive. The only concern I could see is the fact many items are already going paperless (GO GREEN :-) , and they offer an option to automatically notify you by mail, odds are all these big wigs have some sort of tether device that there wearing on there hips to get there updates. Overall though, a solid item with a great amount of potential.

Interesting service. Was a little concerned about privacy but since you can leave letters unopened and simply forward them that concern goes right out the window.

What they need is a service that will just go through your mail and filter out all the crap and just put the important stuff in your mail box.

According to their site, they will actually throw out any obvious junk mail (flyers, catalogs, etc) for you so that it doesn’t count toward the account limits. I’ll certainly have to look into this… thanks for the tip Shoe!

What if you got a 1000 page phone bill, would they still scan all of that?

They scan the envelope and email you the image. They don’t open your mail.

That’s an awesome service! As you said, great for traveling business people but it will also help a lot of women who have been in domestic violence or stalking situations. When these women try to keep their address confidential, they usually use a PO Box. However, at some point, they have to physically pick up their mail, which presents some risk. This service solves that problem and adds another layer of protection by providing what will be an out of state address for many. The only downside I can see is the delay in getting your mail, but worth it for increased safety and peace of mind.

There is another company that offers this, but I cant think of their name for the life of me. Earth mail? Something like that. I considered using that to save on forwarding mail overseas when Im outside the US. This would allow me to only forward those pieces of mail which I phsyically need.

You have some honest ideas here. I done a research on the issue and discovered most peoples will agree with your blog. After that early period, the Beatles evolved considerably over the years.

I found your site from wikipedia and read a few of your other blog posts. They are cool. Pls continue this great work. Later on other fantastic American rock acts such as Lynrd Skynrd, The Eagles, America, the Allman Brothers, and the Doobie Brothers would come on the scene and shake up the world with their string of hit songs.
