On the web site for the Azoogle Playboy Mansion Party, they used the song “I gotta feeling” as the background music. I can say it was very accurate.
One of my favorite things about making money on the internet are the events you get to go to. In 2006 Bodog poker had a private party event at SES San Jose that was pretty awesome. In 2007 Microsoft Adcenter hosted a party at a RedSox Game in their box suite and took their biggest advertisers. I could go on forever about cool events I have been to.
Last Saturday night AzoogleAds (Epic Advertising) threw a party at the Playboy Mansion and paid for its top 25 affiliates and friends to come. To call this a industry event or to compare it to any other party/event I have ever attend in my 9+ years of trying to make money on the internet is silly. It was a unreal experience.
Like the Elite Retreat the bar for entry was extremely high. The result is that the quality of attendees was incredible. You couldn’t just talk your way into this party like you can a lot of industry “events”.
The party started at about 8:30 and in the beginning it was very surreal taking it all in. Between the magazine and various movies and TV shows I had seen a lot of the grounds briefly but actually getting to walk around and check stuff out was neat.
They had several Playmates Of The Month to give tours and David and I took a tour with lovely Miss Stacy Fuson (POM Feb `99).:
I am really glad we took the tour cause Stacy pointed out the interesting land marks and told some funny stories about the mansion. One of my favorite stories was about how Hugh Hefner started Playboy. Evidently he was working for Esquire magazine and told his boss he wanted a $5 raise or he was going to quit. They told him to quit. In the game room of the mansion there is a picture that Esquire sent him years later of a $5 bill along with a note saying they would be happy to give him his raise if he would come back:
Also during the tour we walked past Hugh Hefner himself escorting his 2 girlfriends to bed.
Once the tour was over we joined the rest of the party goers and took the occasional pics with house bunnies:
Some of them had this really cool body paint that looked like clothing. I had seen nude body painted girls before but never of this quality. Check the photo gallery to see them. I was going to post them but someone told me body paint was not considered work safe =P
It was really neat to see the DJ I had seen so many times in the magazine (I get it for the articles):
AzoogleAds really went all out. A local L.A. friend of mind had called earlier that day to see if he could get into the mansion and the staff told him that they had not had a company cover *every possible base* in years and it was impossible to get it. This must have been a pretty special event they said. And that it was.
So then the DJ took off her top:
and that must have been a signal for all the bunnies to get nude because it seemed like a endless train of ladies jumping in the pool and running around mingling with the party goers. To be honest my photo gallery does not give a fair representation of the event because I could only upload about 10% of my pictures and no video because almost all of them contain fully nude bunnies.
But eh back to the networking. Great to hang out with my favorite Super Affiliate Managers Erin Hughes and Ryan Sessler and of course Audrey too! :

AzoogleAds is already talking about doing it again at the Mansion next year. I wonder if they will get any new signups =P

Kind of funny that Azoogle dropped one of my accounts with them a year or so ago because one of the sites i was running ads on was slightly adult themed. Wasn’t porn in the slightest, but the dropped me. Then they go on to do Playboy stuff. After they dropped me they then tell me that I could just sign up again.

An internet based advertisement company providing these kind of entertainment to its top affiliates is something impossible to correlate.
