Man I can’t believe the amount of coverage my case study on cash for clunkers has been getting. Its quite humbling. I have been contacted by a number of major media outlets about how the local affiliate program works and have seen the link shared quite a bit on twitter and other social networks. You guys rock!!
MySpace even reached out and asked me if there was anything they could do for our readers. I gave them some honest feedback- Every new user was super grateful for the free $75 they are offering to get started ( code SHOE75 ) but there are a lot of existing users that were disappointed that they could not get free money also to play around with in the MySpace MyAds system.
They told me they have never, ever, given incentives to existing users (and honestly I have never seen any platform ever do this before) but they would be willing to do this for ShoeMoney readers!
All you have to do is email them myads@myspace.com and give them your account name (login), first and last name and tell them you were referred by ShoeMoney and the MyAds team will hook you up with a $50 advertising credit.
They are only making this offer good until this Friday at midnight PST so get on it!

Till what date this bonus is effective?
September 9, 2009 at 3:01 pm
Would love to try this one …
As I never tried myspace platform to get the traffic.
September 8, 2009 at 2:27 am
Ive been using MySpace but haven’t tried th MySpace MyAds that they have.
September 7, 2009 at 9:11 am
Myspace ads are getting great reviews. The fact that they contacted Shoemoney for a promotion speaks volume about the recognition of Shoe money in the business world.
It is a great gesture from your part to ask a coupon for existing users of Myspace. The problem with myspace is they only accept advertisers from US.
September 6, 2009 at 7:54 am
Right on…….. Don’t change a thing!
September 5, 2009 at 8:59 am
It’s a real shame that MyAds don’t accept UK advertisers. They don’t even state anything about U.S. citizens only, I only found out when I got to billing and saw no country option.
September 4, 2009 at 3:42 am
cool stuff, thanks alot
September 2, 2009 at 9:27 am
I’ll take this chance by email them just to know how big is the exposure for my site which is about Miami news. Are there any special requrement to receive this coupon Shoe?
August 31, 2009 at 10:35 pm
Thanks for your coupon offer! Shoe
You is the best Shoe
Thank’s
August 31, 2009 at 9:27 pm
That’s really impressive is that offer still on and is there any option to specify particular region audience.
August 31, 2009 at 5:44 pm
Excellent, I was waiting for a coupon for EXISTING users
thanks shoe!
August 31, 2009 at 8:49 am
Heh. MySpace won’t approve our ads. Oh well, at least Facebook will (better ROI anyway).
September 2, 2009 at 9:30 am
Why they didn’t approve your ads Cash?
Do they have any requirement for specific site?
Thanks
August 31, 2009 at 8:06 am
A local affiliate type program would really work to get people shopping and purchasing cars again.
August 31, 2009 at 8:00 am
Thanks for the awesome offer!
August 30, 2009 at 7:53 pm
Thanks for the great offer.
August 30, 2009 at 4:53 pm
Ay, thanks Shoemoney as the promo code still works. I appreciate it.
August 30, 2009 at 4:45 pm
Nice! I know i’m hella late.
I would like to know is the SHOE75 promo code also expiring at midnight. I’m going to go ahead and try.
Your blog is being added to my bookmarks.
Thanks
August 30, 2009 at 3:24 pm
Wow that’s a great offer. However the demographics of myspace is not good. I mean I haven’t been able to convert the ads into a single sale all these months I have been trying to promote an affiliate product. It might be great if you have some product geared more towards college goers. But for the time being facebook performs much better for me. Not to mention Google Adwords being the best
August 29, 2009 at 9:15 pm
MySpace ads….really…Sometimes I wonder what the demographic is there…seems like myspace has fallen by the way side to facebook to many adults. Seems like everyone I know is up on facebook…and a select few seem to be using their myspace.
August 29, 2009 at 9:11 pm
Awesome. I have the $75 for new customers, but it’s cool that they’re giving away $50 coupons for existing customers.
August 29, 2009 at 3:58 pm
I’ve tried facebook, but never really given myspace a shot. I guess I’ve just assumed facebook was the way to go since everyone i know in my social life uses facebook and not myspace. Thanks for the coupon, this is an incentive to give it a try.
August 29, 2009 at 11:20 am
I dont know whats wrong with Myads, I am trying to upload and image and they just say try again, #^#$^@#!
August 29, 2009 at 4:53 am
A code for existing users? That’s amazing! They must love you Shoe…
August 29, 2009 at 3:52 am
Jeremy I think you rock instead of us. You gave us opportunity and we are only capitalising this benefit.
August 31, 2009 at 10:50 pm
Yes, I agree with you ZK
August 29, 2009 at 1:45 am
I tried to sign up…they said my card details are not valid but my I got a charge of $25 on my card…strange.
August 28, 2009 at 11:04 am
Well, I signed up. Thanks for the promo code. I have been wanting to try Myspace for a while and this was a good incentive.
August 28, 2009 at 10:30 am
Thank you Thank you Thank you! This is a great offer and will help me out a lot! You can actually stretch $50 worth of advertising out for a whole week on myspace! Free advertising for a week sounds like a deal to me! Thanks!
August 28, 2009 at 10:27 am
Nice one bud!
I can never understand why more companies don’t look after their existing customers.
I mean if you went to a restaurant and had bad service and crap food you wouldn’t ever go back.
I’m not saying that alot of companies treat their existing customers like crap, but they do however forget they too would like some incentives.
So my question is, why do more companies not offer incentives to old customers like they do with new customers?
I fully understand attracting the new customers part, but what do companies do to retain their old?
Perhaps i’m thinking out too loud
August 28, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Yes i agree with what you are saying buddy
August 30, 2009 at 12:47 am
You are right in more than one ways. It is proven that the cost of retention is always lesser than the cost of acquisition. So it would be easy for companies to retain their existing customers rather than acquiring new ones. But companies do not take it seriously.
Perhaps it is this same law that works for this again. Because the cost of retention is to be lesser than the cost of acquisition, people do not believe in spending more on retaining customers.
August 28, 2009 at 7:54 am
Thank you so much for passing this on to all of us, cant pass this one up!
August 28, 2009 at 7:32 am
Just curiuos…How much do you get paid when someone signs up with your link? Is it recurring or is it a one time payment by myspace.com?
August 28, 2009 at 7:09 am
What are they charging to advertise? Is $50 pocket change in comparison?
August 28, 2009 at 10:35 am
It’s CPC. They usually want a matched deposit on sites that offer incentives like this. I’m assuming it’s the same for the myAds? Perhaps someone else can confirm.
August 28, 2009 at 5:28 am
Its really bad, the offer is over now. I am little late and disappointed
August 28, 2009 at 4:58 am
Tried to sign up but it was over when I tried to input a Japanese billing address. Damn!! Living here I lose out. Cant even get a Shoemoney T-shirt…:(
August 28, 2009 at 4:20 am
Awesome offer
August 28, 2009 at 3:44 am
hard to pass up this opportunity… thanks for the free credits…
August 28, 2009 at 3:42 am
There is always a first time for everything, and hats off to you Jeremy – U R LEGEND!!!!
Congratulations on the exposure, and great work on brokering a one-of-a-kinddeal for your audience.
August 28, 2009 at 12:19 am
Simply Awesome
August 27, 2009 at 10:49 pm
Thanks for the post Shoe, bloody My Space wont take my money! I have tried creating an account like 5 times now, done seems to like Australia credit cards.
August 29, 2009 at 4:56 am
Step One : Rent a private US mailing address (search online for a supplier).
Step Two : Contact your bank, get your US address added to your account as an ‘additional address’.
Step Three : ?
Step Four : Profit!
August 27, 2009 at 9:39 pm
So I get $50 of free advertising with no strings attached, no advanced credit card numbers and all those other sneaky tricks used all the time?
August 29, 2009 at 5:03 am
Yes, you will need a credit card number to create an account. And they will authorize a $25 charge on the card even before you start advertising and even though you have a free $75 code… not ideal, but you’re getting $75 free advertising which hopefully you can convert to a heap of profit, so probably worth it.
August 27, 2009 at 9:16 pm
This is fantastic Shoe. And I thought my MySpace account is useless (since all my friends is in FB)
August 27, 2009 at 8:40 pm
I have been waiting for an existing customer coupon. You don’t see them very often.
August 27, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Thanks Jeremy!
August 27, 2009 at 6:33 pm
Wow you are really pushing these myspace coupons for all their worth.
Maybe you do a case study for us, on how to promote Myspace coupons, and how much they make for you?
August 27, 2009 at 6:04 pm
Well done Shoe, I know there are a lot of people who are grateful for this incentive coupled with your previous post… I think that we are on to a winner. Cheers Mate
August 27, 2009 at 5:53 pm
A British friend of mine asked me if they’re taking non-US webmasters yet?
August 27, 2009 at 4:40 pm
right cause I normally post things that dont work =P
August 27, 2009 at 4:46 pm
He probably has no faith in MySpace… but who does?
August 29, 2009 at 4:59 am
Who doesn’t have faith in MySpace ADS?! MySpace users are consumers just like everyone else, just find the find niche to market and you will profit.
August 28, 2009 at 12:47 pm
LOL
August 27, 2009 at 4:39 pm
Wow…this is great…way to pay it forward!
Hope to see a post from you in the future detailing how this all comes back to you. If more people understood how the act of giving really does help them in the long run, maybe more people would do it!
August 30, 2009 at 12:51 am
You are right. Even I have wondered as to how all this comes back to Jeremy and how this helps him in the long run.
Having said that I would not be surprised, if Jeremy gets nothing even in the long run and he still does all this.
