The Bacon Explosion is Amazing!

bacon explosion

My wife hosts an event every year for her anesthesia group at our house. Its all catered and stuff with all this food that is good for you but I like to make my contribution.

If you have not heard of the Bacon Explosion by now you must be on another planet. The recipe has been featured on CNN and Good Morning America and so on. I always wanted to try the bacon explosion but I am not much of a cook.

The bacon explosion is basically 2 lbs of woven bacon wrapped around sausage mixed with spices and stuff.

bacon explosion

Last week the bbq addicts folks took pre-orders for the Bacon Explosions. HOT DAMN this would be perfect for my wife’s party ;)

My Bacon Explosions promptly arrived on the dates promised and I was excited to see what these puppies looked like.

The 2 bacon wrapped sausage logs arrived packed in dry ice completely frozen:

The fully cooked bacon explosions also came with great easy to use instructions (that even I can’t screw up):

On the day of the event I cooked the Bacon Explosion in the oven, sliced it up and served it to our guests:

It was an amazing hit and devoured in about 60 seconds after it hit the table. I asked our lifeguard and caterers (not service bacon porn) what they thought about it:

The taste is unbelievable. Well done BBQ Addicts!

The bacon explosion is definitely one of the best foods I’ve eaten. We made a few upgrades on the standard recipe and posted about it here: http://www.gourmetfoodgarden.com/wordpress/how-to-build-a-better-bacon-explosion/

The cheese and jalapenos make a big difference!

You overpaid. Ital sausage and some good hardwood smoked bacon.

People have been making “fattys” for years before these guys made it…

Looks good! And don’t let any of the idiots tell you that it’s bad for you. The “heart attack” jokes are stupid and tasteless. The “Bacon Explosion” is a lot healthier than eating cake or doughnuts. That crap is what will give you a heart attack, not a log of meat.

Hmmmm, this looks like a real carnivore’s treat….the video endorsement from the pretty ladies sure is pretty convincing too. My only reservation is the MSG included in the mix. That stuff is really bad for you, although it makes things taste even better.

What I’m curious is where is the affiliate tracker. And if you didn’t use it – why not? Bacon might be the best food ever invented and the picture of RAW bacon and sausage still made me hungry. Its 8AM and I’m hungry for bacon. Not only am I mad, I’m frustrated to not understand why you aren’t making money, unless of course they are LP’s strictly for you.

You confuse me Shoemoney, confuse me.
