I discussed with my brother who is using a 3g with AT&T and he said the coverage is good and data plan is not bad. So I thought of going his way.

I have one week left on my 30 day trail with my Palm Pre-I like your review shoe but I like also the nerds review at PC World-He decided to keep his Pre after using both for 2 weeks in his daily bus and the one reason is the card feature and synergy that the pre has-also the qwerty KB-

Like he said he is keeping the pre and might get the I Touch for the apps-That is what I have to decide--

I am a little PO ed at the tethering BS from both Sprint and A T & T-Sprint says there everything plan does not cover tethering-BS I used my BB with Sprint on my LT and it worked fine now I find that you need a pin number to activate it--

A T & T says they might charge 60 $ for tethering

HELP !!!!

Maybe you should have given it more than 3 days. It took me a day or two to realize that some of the usability has a bit of a learning curve (not big), but turns out to be a huge step forward.

For instance, you say that the web browser doesn't match the usability of iPhone's? What's different? They are both based on the same software. Palm's Universal Search (I can call up wikipedia or google on any topic by just typing on the keyboard) is a game changer.

The mail client is one of the best parts of the Pre. It works fine for my hosted Gmail as well as my other accounts - brings them into all one in-box. I can literally manage my email better on the Pre than any desktop application or gmail itself. My friend said it best - "Gmail should work this way."

I'll give you that you can't do video on the Pre yet. It also only has 8GB of storage. That should be enough for most people - a few movies - a lot of songs - pictures etc. Personally I've found that the Pandora application makes the mp3 player worthless.

What does the Pre have that the iPhone doesn't? Let's start with your two biggest concerns.

- Removable battery - a travel charger doesn't help if you can't find an outlet - just pop in a new battery.

- Keyboard - real keyboard is better than software one - real feedback

- Sprint Navigation - turn by turn directions integrated in all plans for free - AT&T charges an extra $10 a month.

This is all for a lower cost than what most people pay for the iPhone (you might be a special case with your weird business arrangement).
