I was asked and originally listed on the affiliate convention as the keynote speaker. I had to pass on it. Its important to know what your good and probably better to know what your not good at and one thing I am not good at is being a keynote speaker. (IMHO)
I know a lot of people really enjoyed my IZEA keynote speech and found it inspirational but IMO its just not one of my strengths.
I will be however moderating Kris Jones (CEO of PepperJam Network) Keynote speech on Wednesday.
Kris is a marvelous speaker. Incredibly inspirational and always filled with passion.
Now I know what issues I am concerned with but I want to hear from you!
For those who dont know his background Kris first started in the affiliate space while attending Law School. After finishing and passing the bar exam Kris decided the rat race wasnt for him (he was profiting over 6 figures a month alraedy) and started PepperJam which has become the largest full service Search Engine Marketing agency in the world.
From being a super affiliate to CEO of one of the largest agencies in the world Kris has seen it all in the affiliate industry.
So what would you like me to have Kris address in his keynote next Wednesday morning?
Fire Away!

Well, PepperJam Network is one of my favorites. It gives us a lot of options from picking an offer to a range of promotional strategies.
What I would really like you to address is that as you know, many super affiliates are mostly focusing on PPC. While we all know that PPC works and it is so powerful, but SEO is still a killer.
Revealing some of the new techniques in SEO that leads to success in CPA industry would be appreciated by many affiliates like me.
Although you prefer now to work more on PPC, we cannot ignore the power of SEO.
So, I hope we hear more from you in this case.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers!

Since Kris has been in the industry so long, it would be cool to hear a first hand history of affiliate marketing through his eyes. Basically how things started, evolved, and where he thinks the industry will be in 5 years.

Hi! I’d like to know, what keep’s him going? Best SEO techniques he had applied? What are his future plans?

PepperJam is awesome. It is so cool that you get to work with Kris. To moderate, you just have to feel out the crowd, not the speaker. Sense when they want him to move on or if they are still intrigued.

Yeah I think whoever is speaking or whatever style he speaks with, as long as it is valuable, its worth the time.

Pepperjam’s site design fascinates me. It’s a beautiful site, that nonetheless seems to violate many of the rules of site design that people like Jakob Nielsen preach. I’d love to hear that addressed.

PepperJam is awesome, can’t wait to see the answers Kris will give

Honestly I have sat there and listened to you talk for three hours + in one shot. I bet that short cutted me 10 years of experience. I wouldn’t care if you rambled, changed subjects, or stumbled over your words. Any chance to listen to the shoemoney show is worth the time.

What does “moderating” a speech involve? Do you ring a bell if you think he’s going too long?
June 14, 2009 at 4:12 pm
Probably a good question would be, what inspired him to actually move on from law and start up pepperjam network!
June 14, 2009 at 2:24 pm
How about asking him where the name came from and whether it is intended as an alterntative to strawberry jam and if so is it a family recipe?

I’m interested to know how to keep yourself motivated, when things may not be going in your way.
