ShoeMoney Readers: What FaceBook Url Did you get?

Posted on: June 13th, 2009 by Jeremy Schoemaker

So tell me! I am curious what vanity facebook url did you get during the landrush.

I love to see what people choose:

Me: Internet Marketer

My Page: Shoemoney

My Wife : Anesthesiologist

Dillsmack: Dellanave

It was tough for me to decide. My first choice was “jeremy” but I was too slow. My second choice was “marketer” but again to slow…. then I went for internet marketer and got it!

In hindsight I am pretty happy with the choice.

So what did you get?

Well, I got 4 that I think are fantastic. First, facebook.com/kennix. then facebook.com/portlandoregon. facebook.com/clearinternet and the last one was so good, I don’t want to say at this time. I can say I’ve already been contacted by over 50 people trying to talk me out of it. LOL I was really amazed I got it. But if you’re into search marketing, it is a coveted title. ***evil smile***

  58. Christian Jessen
    June 14, 2009 at 12:40 am

I really wanted just “christian”, but as I was drunk, like a lot of other people friday night, I didnt really got a chance to take part of the rush. So I went with my name, which I hope will get up in the search engines, like my blog is when you search on my name. http://facebook.com/christianjessen

I still blame Facebook developers for having no life, and the date and time they choose, just signals to me, that they wanted the spammers to get first! Who, sorry if I diss anybody, sits in their office, or in front of their computer, 12:01 FRIDAY NIGHT! I dont want to spend my friday night waiting to get a good name. But maybe thats just me, “ofcourse the majority of facebook users is online 12:01 friday night”..

Anyway, congrats with the name. I didnt want to go for anything else then Christian or Christian Jessen, since that is not my name, and thats not the reason for my personal page on Facebook.

    Naturally, I got http://www.facebook.com/lacarmina

Ever since I launched my Japanese fashion blog – http://www.LaCarmina.com – I’ve nabbed my name (lacarmina) for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. I think it’s really important to do so.

I think you should not do such things. You are responsible person and such kind of fake accounts create burden on server only.
