Coming Up With Your Next Thing

John Reese is one of the best marketers of our time. His accomplishments are legendary in this industry. I originally met John because one of the other admins at the Digital Point forums was talking about this guy who promoted his software product and he did hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales in 24 hours. He said the guy just sent out a email recommending his product. I was like WTF I gotta meet this guy. I shot him a email and he asked if I was going to AdTech. I was and we agreed to meet up.

I originally met John at AdTech San Francisco in 2007. I was telling him about this advertising network I was doing called AuctionAds. He listened to me give my pitch then proceeded to gave me about 2 notebooks full of tips on how to market it. It was a HUGE tipping point for AuctionAds. I followed John’s advice and it made a dramatic impact right away.

In the years since I have learned from John more with what he does then directly interacting with him. From his monstrously successful Traffic Secrets programs to some that did not go so hot like Blog Rush.

John shares an enormous amount of knowledge through his successes and failures.

Today John launched opportunity.com . A training program to teach people affiliate marketing. Its free to sign up and get a peek what he is up to. I highly recommend it.

Watching John work might inspire you in coming up with your next big thing.

One more awesome E-book on Affiliate Marketing John Reese. I have just applied to online Free access and now i will go through each and everything what he has to offer since within couple of weeks i am planning to launch few websites on which i will be selling click bank products.

Now at this point of time i have this Handwritten.pdf opened up on my laptop & i can only tell it is something which only experienced affiliate marketer can write. Starting point says what is the ultimate online Business ?? I am sure this will be interesting book to go through and implement things step by step.

Thanks a ton for sharing such a vital information Shoe.

you might tell him that he should send out a link to his mailing list for opp….com as I signed up during your last pitch and can’t get to the handwritten pdf via the link. I fortunately reclicked on the last verification email and was served the handwritten pdf.

the last pitch was for a video that I found interesting on email marketing. Funny thing though is he didn’t follow that model as I haven’t received an email since signing up. where is my email every 3 days?

So:

“Our full-time team scours the Internet to report back to you with the latest opportunities and hot trends – what’s working and what’s not.”

Whenever I see something like this I ask myself: If he and his full-time team have it all figured out, why aren’t they working 70 hours a week bringing in the big bucks running a massive affiliate marketing operation? Instead, they’re selling the idea to someone else…So we can assume that it’s more profitable to sell the idea of being successful than whatever the actual methodology is. Or am I wrong?

Not exactly. :) My company generates millions of dollars in affiliate commissions. I’ve been one of the biggest super affiliates online for years. I’ve made as much as $1.2 million in commissions from ONE product promotion.

My team and I *do* build businesses to go after specific markets. But the truth is, the affiliate marketing industry is going on almost $10 Billion A Year. No one is going to dominate it all. Not even close. And to that we’re building media company around helping entrepreneurs build online businesses and it has perfect synergy for us to teach the same business models we use.

p.s. Thanks for the kind words, Jeremy. Really appreciate them.

John, I appreciate the volume of good information that you’ve put together on this site.

My question is whether or not there will be a “Master Plan” or more in depth guide to some of the higher level concepts. Getting a detailed break down of adwords is great, but I’d love to see more about how PPC fits into an overall affiliate marketing business model than just how to do keyword research or how to write articles.

I’ve got a lot of respect for John Reese.

There are a few other marketers with similar big reputations and earnings, but to me John has a lot more sincerity than most of them.

Also, he’s one smart guy. Never had any contact with him, but his techniques are killer, and watching his product launches is usually an excellent education.

He’s one of those guys where you need to keep every email and page he sends you to, and reverse engineer it to see the whole process.

It’s good stuff.

I got a quote on twitter this morning about IM being a religion and JR being the Pope…

Think that about sums it up.

Excellent way to increase his email drip list. The information is plentiful but seems to be rehashed from other sources/common knowledge. At least he may be taking advantage of some of Yaro’s Membership site tips.

Instead of wasting your time reading about the “next big thing” you could have already created your own product and started selling it.

That’s what John does.

Seems as though every time I try and come up with something it does just okay.

But when I launch a site, like MR that is more of a hobby it just takes off. Go figure.
