Last week I did an interview with Andrew Warner of Mixergy.com. Andrew is one of the best interviewers out there and presses you when he tells he is on to something or it is of good value to his audience. He certainly had me on the hot seat many times and I think that is when your best comes out.
I cant tell you how nice it is to do a interview with someone who has done their homework on you and does not ask simple questions that can be answered just by reading your bio (which happens to me 90% of the time).
Click here to goto Andrew’s site with full transcripts of the interview (and downloadable mp3).
Below is the video interview:
Also check out around Andrews great interviews with Seth Godin, Tim Ferris and tons of other successful marketers.
Shoutout to Merrick Lozano for doing the intro between me and Andrew.

Cool video, I love the way you are thinking outside the box. Good stuff Jeremy.
April 9, 2009 at 11:42 am
Thanks to Jeremy … I have heard a lot about you but today I saw some of your interviews and videos.
We will be able to get the good idea if two clear minded people meet.
A good and sharp host always bring best out from the interviewers.
April 8, 2009 at 10:35 am
Superb interview. the content just gets better and better.
April 7, 2009 at 11:04 pm
I though that interview was about to make sell their DVD but i’ve seen those are free then I run to other stage of brain storming and see that Andrew Warner , is looking for someone to race with. If there is someone can tell him what is the next trick or show it , then he will get other point of view and start to think about that. It might be just a interview to help people and show how to think. Probably …
April 7, 2009 at 2:24 pm
that’s nice. i did not feel any formal talk in this video.very natural & effective communication.
April 7, 2009 at 9:42 am
Good interview overall. I personally thought the prying for income towards the begninning to be a little tacky. Especially after he told you there was a NDA in place that prevented him from doing so. Especially after you admitted that you weren’t willing to do the same.
Also, saying a 150k check from adsense was (paraphrasing) “not a huge amount of money, but pretty good” kind of was a putoff. You don’t need to sound like a bigshot. It’s safe to say that $150k in adsense/month is more than 99.999999% of your listeners will make in their lives of marketing online.

April 6, 2009 at 11:32 am
wow amazing interview. you guys both are good talkers and I love listening to you Jeremy good stuff. keep the interviews coming.
April 6, 2009 at 10:55 pm
Jeremy’s the great talker. After doing over 100 interviews, I can tell you that people who write blogs and/or books can always explain their ideas well.
Writing about a subject for a long time naturally makes people smarter.
Thanks for the compliment Rick!
April 6, 2009 at 9:11 am
Hey I’m going to go make a Cornhusker quiz right now… maybe not, even though I am from Nebraska. Anyways how do you get this quiz to make sales? When you take a quiz you get something from a sponsor link or something?
April 6, 2009 at 10:57 pm
At the end of the quiz, he shows a link to Netflix. Netflix has an affiliate program that pays anyone a bounty for getting them new registrations.
Keep reading Shoemoney.com and these programs will come naturally to you.
Thanks for listening to the interview. Good luck with your fundraiser.
April 6, 2009 at 7:26 am
Very interesting and insightful interview.
Certainly what questions to ask and when to ask them.
April 6, 2009 at 11:00 pm
Thanks Dean. I had a pile of questions to ask, as I’m sure you do. Next time we’ll ask even more.
BTW, I like the name of your blog, discipline is the big challenge in business, no?
April 6, 2009 at 4:48 am
Great interview. Andrew Warner knows his job
April 6, 2009 at 11:01 pm
Thanks for the compliment. I like your site’s designs. Let’s get a nice design on your Gravatar so next time you comment on Shoemoney you’ll stand out more.
April 6, 2009 at 2:00 am
Is he sitting in his library, LOL. Anyways nice interview there, downloading it.
April 6, 2009 at 11:02 pm
Yup. Well, kind of.
I love books. Plus having them in the background makes me look smart, no?
Hope you enjoyed the interview.
April 6, 2009 at 1:18 am
Good job, i think many people with using this ideal….cheers
April 6, 2009 at 11:03 pm
Lots of people use Jeremy’s ideas, but like he said, he’s on to the next one.
Thanks for the compliment Jacky.
April 6, 2009 at 12:52 am
The thing about Jeremy is he knows that the majority (like %99.9) of the population out there can’t figure out *exactly* how he does things. They can try to copy, but it’s those minute details that payoff. What great energy from Andrew Warner!
April 6, 2009 at 11:05 pm
Thanks Brad.
And to be honest, that’s the challenge for me in my interviews.
Even if I get people to teach what they do step-by-step, it’s hard for others to copy because the nuances that you can’t anticipate make all the difference.
I need to figure out how to overcome that.
Good point.
April 6, 2009 at 12:00 am
I now subscribe to your blog thanks to that interview.
Really cool that you were so open and straight shooter
April 6, 2009 at 11:06 pm
You’ll get a lot of this blog Max.
Let’s keep learning how to build knockout companies.
April 5, 2009 at 11:12 pm
Really liked the three points about creating a successful business. Good interview.
April 6, 2009 at 11:07 pm
Yeah, SEOBook.com picked up on that too in the article they wrote up on this interview.
If you have those 3 points, there’s no stopping your company.
Thanks for the comment!
April 5, 2009 at 10:17 pm
Great interview.
April 6, 2009 at 11:08 pm
Thanks for listening to it.
The more people I can get to listen to these interviews, the more pressure there will be on each interviewee to bring the knowledge and hold nothing back.
April 5, 2009 at 9:31 pm
Nice interview here, as I for one glad to see webmasters coming together… Sharing ideas, etc… Keep up the good work brother shoemoney…
April 6, 2009 at 11:10 pm
Yup. Entrepreneurs in the internet space are waaaay more willing to teach that businesspeople in any other industry.
If anyone is really committed to building a killer company, there should be no excuse. The info and tools are here.
Let’s use them.
April 5, 2009 at 9:26 pm

Nice interview, im gonna review it later
April 6, 2009 at 11:13 pm
Use it at the gym. Jeremy can be very inspiring, don’t you think?
April 5, 2009 at 5:35 pm
WOW!

Very nice interview… Indeed, mixergy does a great job.
P.S. I can see the netflix being a good one for the example too…
Some time ago I made a landing page and was driving traffic with just regular campaigns and it converted very well… untill azoogle disabled the ad for me without letting me know about disabling it or the reason behind it and it took me a few days of loosing ad money and breaking my head trying to figure out it didnt convert anymore.
Anyway, great interview! Good Job! Hope people don’t steal your ideas too much.
April 6, 2009 at 11:14 pm
I’d love to hear more of your conversion stories. Shoot me an email if you want to share. The contact info is on Mixergy.
April 5, 2009 at 5:02 pm

April 6, 2009 at 11:15 pm

April 5, 2009 at 4:59 pm
That was a really good interview to watch!
April 6, 2009 at 11:16 pm
Yeah, besides the content, it was good the Jeremy had an HD camera to record his side. I still don’t have a way to record high quality video remotely.
So far all I use is Skype.
April 5, 2009 at 1:17 pm
You’re one of the best interviews because you have a strong point of view, thought out ideas and a passionate following.
Thanks for coming on Mixergy.
April 5, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Awesome interview, enjoyed it! Thanks Shoe
April 6, 2009 at 11:16 pm
Great stuff. I knew he’d be good because I saw the videos here on Shoemoney. All well-done and each point is clearly explained. He’s good.
April 5, 2009 at 12:56 pm
Sounds like you were getting down to business on this one! Gotta catch the whole thing…
Wondering – when is you next Q&A ???
April 6, 2009 at 11:17 pm
Down to business is my middle name.
There’s too much to learn to screw around. (Plus internet audiences are demanding.)
Thanks.
April 5, 2009 at 11:43 am
the best interview ever… wow I need to review it later
… keep being you
April 6, 2009 at 11:18 pm
I just worked my way down the list of comments and responded to everyone. So encouraging to end with yours.
You got me pumped bud. Thanks.
April 7, 2009 at 1:00 am
