Lots of people have been emailing me last night asking if the video from last nights webinar would be available. I do have video from my end but the sound is pretty weak:
Also this does not contain the 90 minutes of Q&A I did after the presentation. You will need to get that from Big Marketing
Thanks again to Big Jason Henderson for putting this together. There was a big turnout and I am sure we will be doing some more webinars in the future.

Good post, your post could really help me in my work. Hopefully this will help increase my traffic more. Thanks for sharing.

I have just watched the video and I have really enjoyed it. I have made some changes in my blog and I am going to put in practice this.
Great as always Jeremy.

If you have a blog and you are thinking about monetizing it, you should not be put off by the idea because someone said it is a bad idea. If whatever method or methods you chose to monetize your blog are relevant to the content and are not over done then your readers won’t mind too much. All you need to do is make sure you keep a quality blog with good content and relevant monetization methods.

Hi Shoe, thanks for the video, in particular the insight into your Black-Card-campaign was very interesting.
March 16, 2009 at 1:02 pm
I was told that you have to update your privacy policy by this April 1st, 2009 if you have Google Adsense on your site. Where do I get the proper verbiage so I can update my Privacy Policy page?
March 15, 2009 at 1:44 pm
Great video Jeremy! Very informative! Thanks for that.
March 15, 2009 at 7:19 am
Just press the button and pause it that video at Big Jason Henderson, I am sure through this video I will be able to learn new things.
This was quite clear that when you have something to say than only you start such kind of webinar and hence we will be able to get the benefit from that
March 13, 2009 at 8:57 am
That was a good show. What I liked most was your ability to describe certain aspects that you yourself have been through, “Leading by example.” The one thing that I would have liked to have heard more about was the time you sold out and how you over came that incident, how you decided why it wasn’t a good fit for you, and what if any the other person(s) did to try to get you back (if anything).

Great presentation Jeremy.. I’ve ditched all my Google ads.. I am just focusing and try to get my unique visitors up.. the credit card marketing deal I would expect you to make a lot more $$$$$$$$ from.. Really cool to see you open up and talk about some of the actual numbers of your blog and business.
Thanks Man..

Thanks again for posting this information. I have been in the web development industry for about 10 years now and have built hundreds of websites for clients over the years.
During this time I have had a personal website, that I converted to a blog in 2005 or so and have been blogging every since then off and on. I never thought about adding monetization to my website until I started following you and seeing what you have been able to do.
My plans are to start monetizing the blog sometime this year using adsense and possibly going after some direct sales once it is established well. The advice you gave out in your webinar is going to be invaluable to me in doing this! Thanks again!…
Also, my business partners and I launched our first online property this year called NascarView.com, (http://www.nascarview.com). This is something that I am passionate about and is a lot of fun to manage, we have added a message board to the website as well as a live racing chat feature that we promote heavily on twitter and facebook. In only 3-4 weeks we have already seen some modest earnings in adsense. I can’t wait to see where it is in a year from now!

“My plans are to start monetizing the blog sometime this year using adsense and possibly going after some direct sales once it is established well.’ in the video Jeremy mentions not using adsense because you have no editorial control..
March 11, 2009 at 10:55 pm
Now I got some relief as I will be able to get updates from these videos. Missing this kind of opportunity is always … you can understand.
March 11, 2009 at 10:10 pm
Good job shoe, now I just need to stop watching/reading so much and start DOING
March 11, 2009 at 7:35 pm
I agree with you that only “passion” will bring “relax”in terms of pain of learning to be successful blog, and about all your experienced to be a superblog I believe you already has a list of story that might need all time of my live to hear them all.Good job anyway, and thanks for the webinar invitations
March 11, 2009 at 5:31 pm
This is a great presentation. Your personal experience is compelling, and, you’re right, your passion has been the key to your success.
Great view on all the options out there to make money from a popular blog – a much wider breadth of available options that fits different bloggers’ styles, content and readership.

Jeremy, enjoyed the show last night. I missed the very beginning, so I’ll have to go back and check out the replay. You made a comment about updating your PPC tips & tricks post. I’d be very interested to see your current PPC methods if you ever had time to do the update.
March 11, 2009 at 4:33 pm
I would be interested to join your webinar. Alert us for the next schedule. Thanks.
March 11, 2009 at 3:48 pm
This is much better than the actual webinar. Guess you do better without the pressure of 300 viewers, eh?
March 11, 2009 at 3:12 pm
Great video, especially for newbie like me. Thanks.
March 11, 2009 at 3:06 pm
Jeremy,
Funny you mention contacting every potential advertiser, even if they’re emailing you from gmail, etc.
I’ve been very serious about advertising on sites in my niche, and haven’t received replies from any of them.
Only thing I could think of, is that I was using my gmail account.
March 12, 2009 at 2:48 am
The thing about commenters being such a low percentage of actual traffic I think is very interesting… I usually get 3-10 comments per post which is about 1% of all traffic… I was worried that I wasn’t getting my audience engaged enough although I think a contest might spark some more conversation..
March 11, 2009 at 2:21 pm
Awesome video, good work!
March 11, 2009 at 2:01 pm
so how are avatars changed?
March 11, 2009 at 2:36 pm
SEOGIS, to change your avatar, you have to go to gravatar.com I believe. That’s how I was able to change mine.
March 11, 2009 at 12:43 pm
Great video about blogging. Useful resource that everyone that wants to blog.
March 11, 2009 at 12:21 pm
Hi there,
This is one of the most interesting videos on blog monetization. I appreciate all the advices the moment I’ll have enough traffic on my blog I’ll try to put it into practice.
Thanks,

I wasn’t that impressed with the webinar, but I think it’s because my level of understanding on most of it isn’t beginner.
I think it was more of a general overview of what a beginner can do to get started and work his way into being successful.
The Q&A session was the best part. It was good covering in detail various aspects of blogging and affiliate marketing. More of an above beginner time.
March 11, 2009 at 3:49 pm
Yep, I liked the Q&A better than the actual presentation. Sorry, shoe, but it was rather short and beginner.
Maybe more Q&A next time?
March 11, 2009 at 11:02 am
I think you make a good point that it is your blog, and its up to YOU what you decide to post. I also think too much of a focus on making money would be a disservice to your blog. I do agree on building your site, and that google isn’t everything, but it does help in getting a start at driving a user base. Connecting with readers is definitely a solid point. Your point about using media to compliment text is great. They always say more text is important for monetary value, but they do really take away from any credibility. The amazon wishlist is a great idea! I do have a question though about direct ad money. I’ve recently been getting emails inquiring about purchasing ad space? How does one determine how much their ad space is worth? I’m glad you also touched on the ethics of making money through blogs. It’s been a debate of mine, and it leads me to believe that it does have its benefits.
March 11, 2009 at 10:29 am
The webinar was great… I took away some valuable info. Thanks Shoe!
PS: I was going to put a hot chick in my avatar but Niche Store Builder beat me to it. LoL.
March 11, 2009 at 10:17 am
Yeah great show last night. Was lucky enough to catch it live, and it’s great to have it in video format to watch again at my leisure.
March 11, 2009 at 9:10 am
Wow great effort from you Jeremy! Will be spending my time (night time here) enjoying this video. Hopefully I am able to pick out some good points there..
