DK Goes Behind The Scenes At Facebook

by Jeremy Schoemaker on March 4, 2009 · 40 comments

2 weeks ago at the Elite Retreat we took all the attendees to Facebook on the 3rd day.  Dr. David Klien was in charge of that and spent some time getting to know a lot of the people there.

He has a really cool writeup on his blog about the event.  Check it out here.

And give him a sphinn!

Cool stuff and nice blog post by purposeinc as well. However, i think i agree with point stating Facebook won’t ever beat Google in terms of revenue ads. I mean, cmon, people use facebook for fun, for social networking, not for finding something they need. People use google to find medicine, to find alternatives, even to find job. That’s why their revenue ads are much bigger. (because people tend to click the ads)

I agree.

Unless Facebook can find alternative ways of monetizing their platform, it’s going to be mighty hard for them to expand.

Facebook Beacon was one, but we all know what happened with that…

 Well the stuff is really cool and the post as well. I think that the purpose of Facebook and Google is different and that too Google is used much more than Facebook so naturally their revenue ads are much bigger.
