How To Subscribe To The ShoeMoney Radio Show Via iTunes
Posted on: February 15th, 2009 by Jeremy Schoemaker
After every radio show I get about 10 emails about how people can subscribe to our weekly show. So here you go!
Step 1) In iTunes go under the advanced menu and choose “subscribe to podcast”.

Step 2) For the URL put in http://feeds2.feedburner.com/theshoemoneyshow

Thats it! All the episodes will now automatically download to your computer and sync with your iPod!

Hi I am Jeremy Schoemaker and ShoeMoney.com is my blog. 99% of the post here are done by me but you will see others occasionally make guest posts. This blog is fun to write but for my day job I run several online companies.

This is a great walk through, itunes makes it much easier to subscribe to podcasts
February 16, 2009 at 2:23 pm
Great info Jeremy. Just a reminder to everyone that you can also use Google Reader to subscribe to podcasts. It’s a great way to keep all your info in one place especially if you don’t listen on your ipod.
We also have a tutorial on our blog:

I think posts like these have a specific purpose for a specific audience. If nothing else, whenever someone emails asking “how do I subscribe by itunes”, you’ll have a link you can send them in an email. Which reminds me, I need to update my “how to RSS” tutorial that has been on hold for 2 years.
February 16, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Thanks for ths info Jeremy. now I can make better use of my time then listening to the radio
February 16, 2009 at 12:54 pm

Podcasts from WMR stopped playing on my ipod. It was working fine before. Other podcasts work fine. I have tried removing and adding the feed, but still have the same problem.
February 16, 2009 at 2:20 pm
Mike,
shoot me an email and let me know what exactly is happening and I’ll do my best to figure out what the problem is.

I play them on my ipod too, it always cuts off early. Two suggestions for the show:
1) To WMR: Bring your commercials out of the 90’s and into 2009.
2) To Shoe: Get rid of the girl that likes to focus all the attention on herself and her stupid stories.
February 16, 2009 at 2:19 pm
@Dave note taken on the commercials. Thanks
February 15, 2009 at 1:09 pm
Hopefully the time is not messed up in iTunes like all the other WMR shows… I used to listen to a bunch of WMR shows, but the messed up duration field made it more difficult (especially if you had to pause it in the middle of a show)…
February 15, 2009 at 3:08 pm
Just downloaded all the shows, and the time is off like the other WMR podcasts… so annoying. Would love to listen to your show again, but my iPod won’t even play them because of the time issue. Jeremy, feel free to email me for info if you want to pass it along to the WMR team…
February 15, 2009 at 4:39 pm
weird I play them on my ipod … Can you use the contact form and email me info and I will forward it to them.
February 16, 2009 at 2:18 pm
Tim,
Contact me directly (eddie@webmasterradio.fm) and I’ll see what I can do to help yo with this issue.
February 17, 2009 at 7:25 am
I hope you don’t mind, I am having a similar problem so I sent you an email describing what the pod does.
February 17, 2009 at 9:40 am
no problem, happy to help
February 17, 2009 at 10:38 am
Hi everyone, while you’re on iTunes take a minute to review the show and give it a few stars!
February 17, 2009 at 4:59 pm
Thought I was the only one having this issue. The ghetto fix for this is to rewind as you go. If you are 10 minutes into the podcast it will say you have 10 left, when there is really 30-40 mins left in the show. Just rewind and you will get to new content.
Maybe this is an iTunes / WMR / PC issue? But yes, it does this for all WMR shows.
February 18, 2009 at 12:03 pm
Hey Eddie,
Great – just sent you an email… this happens for me on all WMR shows… have stopped listening to them all because of this – would love to get this resolved.
Cheers,
Tim L. Walker

February 15, 2009 at 9:54 am
I have not used Itunes for quite a while, I think now it has got better usage, where can I find the details and schedules of the radio show?
February 15, 2009 at 11:43 am
search on the blog, all relevant details are easily found.
February 16, 2009 at 9:02 am
Yeah I haven’t used my iPod in a long time either maybe putting some new stuff on it will help.
February 18, 2009 at 9:22 pm
I use my iPod like everyday/ I can hook it up to my car CD player and also listen to books on tape a lot to.
February 16, 2009 at 2:16 pm
The show airs every Thursday at 5pm ET and the RSS feed is updates soon after, so the show should be available by Friday morning at the latest. You can also subscribe to the podcast in Google Reader.
February 15, 2009 at 9:13 am

February 16, 2009 at 7:20 am
Now thats really easy.. iTune rocks!
February 18, 2009 at 9:20 pm
yes pretty easy. a tutorial on integrating iTunes podcast into your blog would be a great article I think. like what equipment you use to record ( besides iTunes).
February 20, 2009 at 8:06 am
yea iTunes is a great software, I never knew it was this easy
February 16, 2009 at 9:04 am
I haven’t gotten the email yet saying that I’m the winner, yet, if I did I would definitely respond back.
February 16, 2009 at 11:20 am
Neither did I. So that means we aren’t the winner, ok
