The format for last Thursday’s show was pretty open.
First on the agenda was SEO Detlev Johnson having a sex change and showing up at SMX west as a woman. This has to be the WTF moment of the search engine industry. Followed by his ex-wife Heather Lloyd Martin feeling the awkward moment of the year.
UPDATE: Heather and Detlev were never married.
Detlev Johnson has also changed his name to Disa Johnson.
Congrats to Detlev for having the balls courage to make the switch.
Detlev/Disa speaks and moderates more panels then about anyone I have ever seen so all you ladies pissed off that search engine women don’t get enough credit you just got about 50% more market share!
Also in the show I paid respects to Martin who passed away I a plane crash a couple weeks ago. Martin was well respected in the industry and he will be missed.
