Last week I was on the Duct Tape Marketing podcast. Being they had Seth Godin on the week before I had some pretty big shoes to fill (no pun intended).
Its a pretty comprehensive interview and I talk way to fast but… You might find it interesting

Interesting Interview.. You have a nice voice Shoe
Nice to hear some history of how you started!! Very interesting to hear the story from the horses mouth!! DIdn’t know that you really started with data cables and background images – pretty cool!!
Yes, it is good hear you talking once in a while from just plain writing.
Yeah, I’m inspired by your story Shoe.
Goes to show not every one is born with a silver spoon.
Oh Cool. I will be listening to it for the next while. I am sure it will be a great show.
Thanks for sharing your story – great stuff and you and Seth would have a lot to talk about!
Now I know what to do this evening. Oh wait, House and 24 are on. Ugh
interesting interview , maybe the first time or second that i hear you .
The book is going to take you to another level. Look forward to seeing you on Oprah
Agreed. But let’s just hope he won’t do a Tom Cruise on Operah.
What is really your claim to fame? Was it that Adsense check you still display the catalyst to your success. If so I am going to photo shop myself one and lie like a mother $%&# how successful I am to get traffic.
Do you think it will work?
Well.. hard to say the biggest claim to fame… I think AucitonAds was a pretty good success story of starting a company and going from 0-25k users and 2m+ revenue a month in only 4 months then selling the company..
or maybe nextpimp mobile community… or maybe the elite retreat.. or maybe CMB TECH… or maybe PimpTel …. or one of the other companies lol..
You could always do what you suggest by making fake images.. Course everyone would call you out on it when you never have any other content to back it up.
Well. I can post pics of yachts and mansions and state they are mine thanks to my presumed internet success. As far as content I can just copy and re-word all the other self proclaimed internet mavens. It seems to me there are tons of suckers on the internet that believe in anything they read. Sure, some will call me on it, but I can just delete them.
How do we know Jeremy is even real?!?!
jk
Wow Shoe, you’ve explored just about everything on the net.
Hi Jeremy I was glad to be one of the original members of auction ads!
Didnt know you owned this site too!
Jeremy,
Thanks for sharing this post. Gives the audience a lot of insight into the way you think. You made the best out of an opportunity even while you were employed at a job.

Wow, great podcast Jeremy.
I didn’t get the sense that you were talking too fast. It had good flow and it kept me listening and away from my work! Good job and thank you for the suggestions about Website Optimizer and Crazyegg, they look like great tools. I’ve begun using them already, Im excited to see results.
long interview but very insightful! hopefully people will actually listen to this rather than just putting a generic comment.
Are you saying 2 million a month in revenue for AuctionAds? Why the hell did you sell it then? Must have been a lot of loot…
You say in the beginning of the interview, “We” a lot…Who was we? A couple people? You and your wife? What’s the scoop with that?
I always loved hearing interviews. I guess you too enjoy the process.
It is rare to see both superbloggers talking on the stage.
great from security analyst in wells – fargo to shoemoney.com great journy shoe… keep walking… best of luck.
It’s funny that the more I get into affiliate marketing, the more nuance I can pull from the interviews and see information from your point of view…
I really enjoyed hearing how you started. Pretty inspiring. Thanks for this, Jeremy.
Really nice interview.
(and… can’t wait for that book of yours…)
Awesome post dude. Pretty cool interview there.
If you think you talk too fast, it’s because you’re excited by what you’re doing & that comes through. I tend to do the same thing myself when I get rolling on something that interests me. Interesting interview.
Its really nice to have such poadcast. Because this one also give us the feelings and confidence of your voice.
Thanks mate for all those advices and tips.
Holy shit didn’t know you are from DES MOINES!!!!!!!!!
Great interview really informative. Thanks for sharing!
Great interview, Again I can’t wait for the book, I think you’ll gain a tremendous audience, especially once people learn your whole story. Just being The Ring Tone King is probably worth a couple chapters.
One thing that I heard in your interview was how you kept listening to your market and solving their problems. Great interview and q & a.
There’s a lot to be learned from your story.
and yet you come back every day
god bless you !!
