Yea I know… the title says it all. CPA Empire aka Affiliate.com/ringtones.net is now offering 20$ per lead on ringtones. If you still pushing ringtones and not with the ringtones.net offer you are not getting the best payout. Trust me.
I could not believe the payout today when Affiliate.com made the announcement at the Affiliate Summit West.
This payout is unreal.

As many comments coming in this ringtones affiliates when introduced to this blog many were sceptic, now I believe it has increased into serious curiosity for affilaite marketer to promote it, very good ad Shoe
Look.. there is no such thing as “too saturated”.. Frankly, it’s not even worth the time getting involved in a niche that isn’t saturated. Well, unless it’s a niche that is going to die within a month or so. Ringtones however, will last for years.
If you want to make some serious money, you get your ass involved with dating, porn, health, ringtones or any other competative niche. Ditch the stupid long tail niches.

I imagine this is just a short-term offer to stimulate the market and get people interested. They’ll probably make money in the end off the investment.

Its true. And the margins are there to sustain the payout obviously. I think the new trend is to get more people to carry the banners and increase the volume of ads which is actually better for Affiliate as the market is saturated and an actual payout might still be low for a new player in this ad. I’m just guessing…
That’s a great price on a lead. Just because a market is saturated on primary channels doesn’t mean that a newcomer can’t do very well for themselves by innovating a bit.
Though its quite a big amount for a lead, but ringtons are much saturated business now a days and its bit hard to market it.

A bit off topic (but not entirely)…can anyone weigh in on Funtonia? I know the payout is less, but if you are focusing on individual songs, it seems to be great. However, I’m just getting ready to deploy it for the first time, so at this stage, it only ‘looks’ good. I’ve seen a lot of people bitching about Funtonia online. Can anyone weigh in on whether or not I am wasting my time incorporating them into my site?

This area of the market is much to competitive for someone fresh into the game but for established traffic generating websites this raise means cha ching!!

I have a site that should be pretty natural for ringtones, and I tried signing up to the 3 top affiliate sites for tones, but never got an approval email…. why might that happen??

And guess what, another 14k of searches through, google, yahoo and MSN happen EVERYDAY.
Yeap, it is still a big market. Well, i am not saying it the biggest, since there is 17 Mil of website (indexed at google) competing for that keyword.

The ringtone market is still around? I thought everyone and their mother was doing that when it was in its craze phase. It seems so overpopulated and congested that I don’t think I’d make money =(

Well it seems like every market is saturated these days. For $20 a hit that is a great commission to have and if you have the sites already, more power to you.

L:ike someone else said – you just have to be able to market it correctly – its definitely not easy but still profitable until people stop buying ringtones

Funny – I’m digging through keyword research at the moment using Market Samurai. Ringtones would be the least likely area I would delve into these days.
Yes, ringtones are still big business. I think it would be hard to create a new ringtone site and have it do well because of all the competition. But, at $20 a pop all you need is a few a day and you are set.

Its all in how you promote it and try to take a better or improved angle. I know several newbs in ringtone area got up quickly within a month and are cashing in…
