I’m Giving Away A New Intel Core i7!

Posted on: December 29th, 2008 by Jeremy Schoemaker

This contest is now closed winner will be announced on 1/19/2009

As you may have already heard, Intel hooked me an incredible brand new Core i7 system and dual 24″ wide screen Samsung monitors.  As much as I love this system, I know there are some multimedia whiz’s out there who could really put this to work.  And just maybe, this bad-ass set-up is the big break they need to get going!  So I talked to Intel and have asked them if I can give it away to one of my readers! What a better way to start of 2009 then to give away the fastest PC on the planet?!intelc2ae-coree284a2-i7-processor4

For those of you who don’t know, I’m a pretty loyal MAC user but I must say, the Core i7 is one of the best desktop processors on the planet. It’s crazy fast, especially when it comes to video encoding and working with images. It’s got double the memory bandwidth.  And with four cores and two threads on each one, you can easily run a bunch of apps at the same time – multi-tasking?  No problem. Even the most complex games are nothing for this monster. Trust me. :) As I mentioned on Christmas Eve, the specs are pretty sweet.

Okay…so here’s the big question. What are you willing to do for a new Core i7? After checking out Intel’s Digital Drag Race site and watching these super creative 17 second videos, I thought of this!

  • To win the Core i7, check out the user-generated Digital Drag Race videos I’m talking about.
  • After you’ve watched some of the videos, head back here to ShoeMoney.com and leave a comment that lists the name of your favorite user video and a 17 word comment (hence the i7 :P ) as to why you liked that video the best…
  • THEN  hit me up on Twitter (@shoemoney) telling everyone you just entered the contest with the hash tag #corei7.

Twitter Example:  “I just entered @shoemoney contest to win a SWEET #corei7 http://tinyurl.com/intelgiveaway

  • At the end of the contest, I’ll judge who I think gave the MOST CREATIVE response and they’ll be the winner of Intel’s Core i7 system.  And if you have been reading my blog for a while, you know how I roll and I mean CREATIVE!

The contest starts today and will end on Friday, January 16, 2009! Winner will be announced the following monday.   Enjoy the videos, get creative and I look forward to reading all your tweets and posts as the contest gets rolling. Who knows – the Core i7 could be yours!

Whoever thought Shoe’s post was true that Intel gave him that system out of the kindness of their hearts is a noob or a goof. Whichever you are, up to you to decide :)

Good marketing on Shoe’s part though, gotta admit.

Intel realised they’ll be getting some pretty decent exposure through their actions, now they’re getting even more, as their “gift” has turned into a contest prize. Trust Jeremy to give them some extra bang for their buck, as well as create a lot of buzz for all parties concerned……..
