What was the final bid on you? And which charity did you donate to?

  2. Mr. School Fundraising ideas

If you can make that much for just wearing someone’s apparel I wonder how much you could make for getting a brand’s tattoo. Probably millions a year you could be set for life. But if the brand pulls like an Enron then you would be screwed because it would ruin not only your image but your skin where the tattoo was; worst case scenario.

    Thanks

well, i’m not so sure about it. as you know, there are a lot of bid optional out there. but, it totally rocks dude.

  4. AJ Kumar

Brilliant idea. I’m very interested to see the results that the winner receives. That will obviously determine whether you do it again.

  5. bluetooth

Awesome idea, awesome use of the $$. Thanks for doing this.

  6. Dick

The color of the shirt is very bright. I like this design.

  7. Dick

How noble of you to promote charity for the time being. Spiritual people consider it to be a part of business whatevever kind it could be.

  8. TYCP Entertainment Magazine

    $5,200. Nice going, Shoe.

  9. David King

    WOW! I need that shirt.

definitely a must for someone like me…

  10. Tom

    Hi,

I am clicking on your myspace ads banner but I cannot sign up. Is it because I am from Europe?

    Anyone have the same problem?

  11. hedge

I guess I am just disappointed that the link to ebay doesn’t go through rover…

  12. Megarudy

$5,200.00 is not that bad. You did something really great Jeremy and I hope the National Breast Cancer Foundation will enjoy this gift.

    All The Best.

  13. Taris Janitens

So there we have it folks!! A whopping $5200 for the ad spot – Wish I had that kinda coin!! Maybe next year :)

  14. Layupdrill

  15. ways to make money online

WHOA it’s over $5,000 with 30 mins left.

It went up double within 24 hours, good job!

    • SEO Tips South Africa

Indeed! That is more the kind of figure I thought Jeremy’s T-Shirt wearing skills would attract! Who is the lucky bidder?

  16. Christopher Ross

Wow, that’s really funny because I swear I just came across this on your Twitter but I’ve been running a similar idea over the holidays (Donate your links to charity where I’m donating an hour to local charity for every new inbound link this holiday.

  17. Andrew

This would be a great deal.. if I had $2500 to spend :p

  18. MonTut

the problem with this is that it’s hard to track the potential profit. yes, you will get nice exposure, but most people in this biz already know about it from this blog and that’s about as much as you are going to get.

  19. Ann Marie Dennis

What a fab idea! $2500 with 24hrs to go? I reckon you’ll easily get $4500 – $5000, most bets are run at the last moment aren’t they?

    Hi Jeremy

Amazing how many people just do not get what you are trying to do here. After about ten years of losing money I have just started to have success in Internet Marketing. This is due mostly to my two mentors Michael Cheney and Alex Jeffreys.

If I had the money right now I would out bid everyone to promote this charity and gain the additional benefits that would result.

Please do something like this again in the future. I will soon be in a better position to participate.

  21. YourFriend

… we don’t hate him … he just looks like a troll ….

  22. Sandy

I hope I win the bid, it would be great for my business!

  23. Paul

Not bad! I wish I could wear a shirt for $2,500!

  24. Montreal Webmaster

    5k would be good

  25. BusinessX

This is when the real bidding should start,or more accurately in 23 hours. Last few minutes being the action time for eBay.

  26. meethere

    wooho US $2,750.00
But its too less for this great deal.

  27. Xuha Phonque

I hope the guy from iHateClassicalMusic.com makes a bid.

  28. AffiliateAholic

I fail to see the value of having you wear a company’s tshirt around at ASW. Who (exactly) do you think you are? lol… seriously. you’re not that big of a deal.

What is the process you see happening? Someone sees you in a t-shirt and punches the name of the company into Google on their phone and then… buys something?

Or maybe they get a link from your site for being the highest bidder? who pays $2500 for a link. I would loooove to hear what the value is that you’re offering here.

And really, I don’t blame you for taking advantage of people that would consider paying you to wear a tshirt… I just really feel sorry for them for being morons.

    • Robb Vaules

Well, he is someone within the community that people either love or hate, but he at least doesn’t hide. I don’t need to defend him, but you seem to fall pretty short on the understanding what this is about.

Charity. The money doesn’t go into his pocket, but people who need it. What value does he carry? Well, he gets his picture taken a lot, and those pictures (assuming they show his chest) will be up on many blogs forever. Most people know that he is wearing the t-shirts for charity, and so most will show the whole shirt. He is a high profile person in the community, and has value – even as a billboard. If I were able, I would bid and put a March of Dimes shirt on him – not my business. Maybe next year.

The moron here seems to be you, as you have show your inability to grasp a pretty easy concept.

  29. YourFriend

    $132,994.97 …
hmmm now you’re enough rich to pay for ear surgery and having more hair … also eyes surgery and maybe liposuction will be a good thing for you too lol

  30. JustChecking

how much do you pay your commenters

  31. Wesley

I’m surprised the price isn’t much higher yet. I predict it will land at $4,000.

    • Sohail

I think it will as people wait for last hours to bid ;)

    • Dick

      Yes, this is really surprising.

      • Typhoon

        My prediction is $5000

  32. Robb Vaules

I don’t know if I would say you were whoring yourself out. Seems rather harsh for a charitable function.

  33. Ruben Ricart

That is a true deal! Will the highest bidder win the spot? Thanks for offering up this opportunity Jeremy.

  34. Ed

Wish I had shirts made so I could jump in the bidding.

  35. Steven-Sanders

You should get a shirt made with ads on the back from blogger’s that pay you for it.

It’d be a chance for blogger’s that can’t afford such a large sum of money to gain exposure.

Could be a win-win for both parties. :)

  36. Think Like An SOB

Whoring and Charity – never realized it could fit in the same sentence. ;) Surely that bid is going to go higher.

  37. Ashley McFarland

Gah! That is such a fabulous idea–good luck!

  38. jtGraphic

I was hoping to see it go higher after the initial rush. $2500 is still pretty good though.

    • SEO Tips South Africa

Yeah, it is a fair amount of loot indeed! It went up to $2500 very quickly, and then stayed there. I did think it would go up a bit more though.

  39. Films Fight

That is a hell of a deal for that much exposure. Wish I had it in the budget to bid.

    • Sohail

yeah thaz true…..specially permanent spot in photo gallery and exposure in different videos will be great

      • Blog Expert

I definitely would not spend money on something like this. However, it may be good for a business.

    • Taris Janitens

To be totally honest I thought it was going to go way higher!! I’m curious to see what it does in the last 24

    • Nashville

I agree it is a great deal. Whoever wins will get a lot of exposure and for sure their money back. If it doesn’t go to at least 5k then I will be slightly disappointed. It is great exposure and your money goes to a great cause.

      • Taris Janitens

You got your wish, with over $5200 as a final winning bid!! DAMN!!
