This week searchme launched their iPhone search application which looks pretty sweet. Check out the vid:
If I had a iPhone I would use it

Interesting - I’ve used SearchMe on occasion but won’t have occasion to use their iphone app… no iphone for me. Maybe someday they’ll be on a network with better coverage in the midwest
Maybe phones should just be phones.
Michael Henry all I can say is Amen. If I was able to find one, I would be like Shel Israel and have a rotary dial cell phone. Instead I settle for a ringtone that actually sounds like an old school phone. And that wasn’t easy to find!
agree with you on that. Phones are phones. I don’t have any super smart phone and will not get one soon. I have a regular one that does his job
Whats that means?
Yea, I’d use it too but that’s not the case right now…
BTW, when will the answers for round 17 come?
It looks cool but is it going to have as irrelevant searches as that other search engine fail made by former Google employees (I forget it’s name now).
You mean Cuil?
Same here if i had Iphone i would so use search me really cool search engine great video shoe
This is an interesting option. I think that this search will bring owners iphone additional profits.
Yea its very useful for people using the iphone, maybe they can even
add some advertising like featured sites
Sweet. I love iPhones but like you I can’t get one. I tried it for a week here in NE but didn’t get anything between my city and Linc and Omaha. Now i just have a sexy Berry.
Makes me want to buy an iPhone, actually.
Then for what you are waiting for?
Yep it’s a cool app and it was pre-installed on the iPod sponsored by search me you sent me!
Pretty slick application…And thanks for the iPod again!
My iphone met the pavement at a shattering speed. I dropped it from my balcony to my driveway below. I’m back using my old KRZR. I’ve seen more useful paperweights. =/
Thanks for letting us know about this app, im off to get it right now;), oh dont forget the new google voice search app too everyone;))
If i had Iphone i would love to use search me
Would you? Would you really? Why?
Why you asking that? Why ?
go buy one and be part of the cool kids. Well, that’s not why I bought mine. I already had cingular and what sold me on it was the visual VM. I never write anything down and just keep it on the phone. Problem, have to listen to all the VM before it. I guess I’m lazy on that part so if fit me quite well.
ACK! All those websites logging hits for previewed page loads. Add that to the list of filters for hits logging in custom scripts.
I predict that Searchme won’t last. Who wants to flip page by page to find what they’re looking for? People want simplicity…they don’t want some fancy looking site that takes forever to search. It’s not practical.
Searchme is only hype in my opinion.
agree with you here. The last time I visited SearchMe website was the last time Shoe monetioned them on his blog.
Oh man, this is really looks cool. But it is not suitable for serious search, as it takes time to load images and the results are also not relevant in some cases.
thats a pretty good application from my fav search engine.
your favorite search engine ? May I ask you why it’s you favorite search engine ? I can’t see any reasons.
Yes, it is cool. Looking good. I will try it.
Wow. The interface and the image is so clear. I’m going to give it a look
I am currently using public wi-fi that is intermittent, must be a bad spot. So, searchme is slow loading, it must demand serious bandwidth to use it.
Anything Apple develops is sweet.
Dude that’s cool. I love the look of the iPhone. the tech used is just awesome. Anyway that searchme app is cool
I prefer usefulness over coolness
Appears resource intensive.
downloading now…. =)
very niceeeeeeeeee
Nice…too bad Im a crackberry addict myself
Nice. I saw that a couple months back, bookmarked it and then forgot all about it. I’ll have to try out the iPhone app. If I ever get my hands on a working mac, I’ll be able to put my iPhone developer license to use one day, too.
You may have given Apple a new idea just now. They’re either going to create their own or buy searchme.

Thank you! Very interesting…
It looks pretty cool, I will look for it and download it.
Searchme has a patent thou.
A patent has nothing to do with the success of a business, product or service.
Where in my post did i mentioned anything about the product success or failure?
What?!? Why haven’t you taken the iphone for a spin yet?
WOW!!! Its really great and cool. I am thinking like you Jeremy.
Me too.. I had a Iphone I would use it too!
It looks cool, it will require a decent wifi network ot work like it is shown in video. Otherwise in the crappy 3g speeds, it will kill the whole purpose of the app.
I am fan kind of fan of Apple even though I have no gadget of it. I am always interested to learn about it and its products. Steve is a great enterprenuer and my role model. I would like to buy some of its products one day and become as him.
He is living genius and all his products are sensations on their own. I think there will be more cool applications on iphone in coming days and is already is a cool phone available around.
Wow looks like a great app, if i had a iphone I would use it
Looks cool and have a lot of interface also
Thanks for the article, interesting.
That does look cool. Does the i phone have the song recognition technology as well? I know I saw a commercial for some phone that will recognize the singer and song just by holding the phone where it can hear the music. Technology is amazing and only getting better.
nice phone, never used one before though..
will be great ……
I think it wouldn’t look like searchme
How about apple vs google in searching competition?
It looks just like Cuil.com but better. Their app on the iPhone is brilliant and will probably keep them from disappearing into oblivion before they even start, like Cuil.
Searchme is flashy and slow. that’s why i think that most of the people will just get back to google. Google has that feature too.
