Daves Apple MacBook Pro Birthday Cake

by Jeremy Schoemaker on October 30, 2008 · 125 comments

My wife had this cake made special for Dillsmack’s Brithday:

It was a perfect mirror image of the new Macbook Pro including the status lights!

And even taste as good as it looks:

Go over and wish David a happy birthday!

Way too cool. Now, where is that new Mac Book you were giving away?

It’s all a trick. He’s keeping the Mac Book for himself and mailing out Mac Book cakes to the winners!

Shoemoney is also lucky to be married to a wife who acts on her creativity and humor. I am also amazed as I am sure her career as an anesthesiologist keeps her time precious.

I can’t afford a Cakebook Pro. I’ll just stick with OSX (and the Kalymayo) hack running on my Breadcrust Core 2 Duo.

That’s so cool, I love when people get creative like that.

About 15 years ago when I was tech manager for a networking company (and had just started there) my birthday rolled around, and the wife of one of the salespeople made me a motherboard cake. It was a sheet cake with green icing, there was a Chunky for the CPU, Hershey’s miniatures for the chips, Kit Kat sections for the slots, and I think she used wafer cookies with pieces of licorice stuck to them for the memory simms. It was amazing! I didn’t even want to cut into it. Unfortunately, nobody had a camera.
