Daves Apple MacBook Pro Birthday Cake

Posted on: October 30th, 2008 by Jeremy Schoemaker

My wife had this cake made special for Dillsmack’s Brithday:

It was a perfect mirror image of the new Macbook Pro including the status lights!

And even taste as good as it looks:

Go over and wish David a happy birthday!

The small holes in the side make the macbook really look alive. The same could have been made better with proper lighting in the room for the photograph.

That’s so cool, I love when people get creative like that.

About 15 years ago when I was tech manager for a networking company (and had just started there) my birthday rolled around, and the wife of one of the salespeople made me a motherboard cake. It was a sheet cake with green icing, there was a Chunky for the CPU, Hershey’s miniatures for the chips, Kit Kat sections for the slots, and I think she used wafer cookies with pieces of licorice stuck to them for the memory simms. It was amazing! I didn’t even want to cut into it. Unfortunately, nobody had a camera.
