AzoogleAds put out a press release last week announcing their the beta of their iPhone application:
First performance-based ad network to make marketing dashboard available on iPhone
NEW YORK, NY – October 23, 2008 – AzoogleAds (www.AzoogleAds.com), a division of the New York-based online marketing leader Epic Advertising, announced today the successful beta launch of its new iPhone Publisher Reporting Platform, iMobilePublisher. The beta launch represents the latest in a string of successes stemming from the company’s Product and Technology teams, and will initially include a small number of trusted publishers.
The application will be demo’d this week at Ad:Tech and they are hoping to have it in the app store within a couple months. So the big question within the industry is what is it going to do? Well I was sent a screen cast of a early build a bit ago. Looks very promising: (click play and wait a bit takes a sec to load)
Looks pretty sharp!
AzoogleAds in another press release talked about how they are experiencing great growth:
Stellar performance marked by growth in revenue, profit, advertiser and publisher bases; new iPhone application & international expansion geared to keep up momentum
NEW YORK, NY, October 27 – Epic Advertising (www.EpicAdvertising.com), the privately held, New York-based online marketing leader, today announced strong September results, posting seven percent and 14 percent gains, respectively, in revenue and profit over last September. In an environment marked by tightening budgets and consolidation, the performance marketing company’s publisher and advertiser bases experienced robust growth.
That is very encouraging. I have a theory that affiliate marketing or performance based marketing in general will experience amazing growth during this “recession”.

That’s pretty cool. Reaching people on there mobile devices is a trend that is going to do nothing but continue to grow. Look at Google tapping into the mobile arena in a big way too.
November 6, 2008 at 7:33 pm

October 30, 2008 at 1:00 am

October 29, 2008 at 11:37 pm
Great move from their side. Markets are getting more competitive and its a good sign as more users will benefit from it.
October 29, 2008 at 9:55 pm
Not impressed.
Isn’t Azoogle’s founders in jail?
These guys are washed up.
Why wouldn’t an affiliate with an iphone simply log-in to their azoogle account with the 3G connection – duh. What’s the big difference?
October 29, 2008 at 11:38 pm
I agree but something creative and positive is always good from a company’s side.
October 29, 2008 at 9:18 pm
This looks like an interesting app, can’t wait to try it out

Interested to see how this works
October 28, 2008 at 10:03 pm
This looks very promising. The inroads to mobile advertising will get a kick start now.
October 28, 2008 at 7:23 pm
looks very promising, can’t wait to try it out when it goes live
October 28, 2008 at 7:20 pm
looks very promising, can’t wait to try it out.
October 28, 2008 at 5:22 pm
Now all they need is an app for blackberries!
October 28, 2008 at 4:04 pm
Looks pretty sharp. I can’t wait to test it out….once I get an iPhone…lol.
October 28, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Its a big step forward taken by AzoogleAds.
October 29, 2008 at 4:54 pm
+1
you are right.
October 28, 2008 at 10:33 am
Looks interesting. I’m sure we will see other networks rolling apps out in the coming months.
October 28, 2008 at 9:50 am
wow that looks pretty cool. Azoogle is definitely setting the bar for affiliate companies
October 28, 2008 at 8:37 am
looks promising.

The increase in the popularity of iPhone in Russia is linked to the recent exit of this market. Last year the iPhone officially in the market Russia was not present.
October 28, 2008 at 7:07 am
Always wanted an iPhone app which would allow me to check stats on all my programs at once
October 28, 2008 at 1:39 am
This will make a huge boost in efficiency for power users.
October 27, 2008 at 11:27 pm
Pretty sweet app. Nice to see Azoogle going mobile.
October 27, 2008 at 10:04 pm
The application looks cool..
it would be great to remain with one network now – azoogle- on the move
October 27, 2008 at 10:01 pm
Guess I better bite the bullet and get going on this.
October 27, 2008 at 9:48 pm
It seems like iPhone will be another gadget which helps you surf the web while you are away from your computer.
October 27, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Cool both Azoogle and apple are innovative
October 27, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Cool video showing their platform.
October 27, 2008 at 9:04 pm
Damn, I just got a LG Dare a few weeks ago. Everything that comes out is usually for the iPhone. Darn.
October 27, 2008 at 8:55 pm
Wonder when this will be released for the rest of us.
I should sign up with Azoogle Ads. They seem pretty innovative.
October 29, 2008 at 7:11 am
Yeah, but news for you if you’re bitten by the stats bug!
October 27, 2008 at 8:00 pm
i agree that online merchants are likely to do better than most — or at least better than brick-and-mortar — during the recession, but of course the range of products offered is going to have to change. i just got a request from a discount perfumer, for example. who ever heard of discount perfume? i never did. and now it’s online, and it’s NOT ebay.
October 27, 2008 at 7:53 pm
Sounds like everyone is getting their site out there to the mobile phone users which will help a lot of people.
October 28, 2008 at 7:46 am
I cannot think of a one site that I use that does not work on my iPhone today, even without having a “mobile” version.
This is the direction of the technology. Mobile versions are a nice option to offer, but by no means are they necessary to reach the mobile market anymore.
October 27, 2008 at 7:39 pm
I did not see growth of CPA here as not many people are not willing to buy here in my country
October 27, 2008 at 6:43 pm
Why not create it for the G1 phone? iPhone is starting to be old news…in a way.
-Mike
November 1, 2008 at 4:34 am
I heard from news that G1 isn’t as hot as iPod?
October 27, 2008 at 6:17 pm
Speaking of iPhone, Jeremy can you add the WPTouch Wordpress plugin and make this site iPhone compatible?
October 27, 2008 at 6:03 pm
That is cool and simple
I can access every affiliate/ad partner program from my iPhone
But What is new here ?
October 27, 2008 at 9:12 pm
This is more convenient because it’s optimized for your iPhone and iPod Touch and you can quickly access it to check your stats.
October 28, 2008 at 7:44 am
I am not sure I need a quicker way than simply typing in my password?
And if that portion is automated, then I’m really not comfortable since it opens the door as a security risk should I lose my phone.
Just a PR stunt. “Hey look we have an iPhone app!”. A late band-wagon jumper.
October 27, 2008 at 5:07 pm
I don’t know if I need yet another way to check stats. I know for thin margin ventures like PPC need it. I am SEO/niche, so the stat check at the end of the day is the big Ta Da.
October 27, 2008 at 4:26 pm
I can access every affiliate/ad partner program from my iPhone. Nothing new about this.
October 27, 2008 at 4:23 pm
I love AzoogleAds. This shows why they are the best… Always on the cutting edge.
October 28, 2008 at 10:44 am
Yup, Google is on Fire!
November 1, 2008 at 4:33 am
totally agree…!
October 27, 2008 at 4:23 pm
i think your’e theory is dead wrong.
October 27, 2008 at 2:57 pm
iphone, iphone, iphone…. this is the only word that i heard after crisis.
October 28, 2008 at 8:29 am
Some people live in crisis. Other people make money. -)
October 27, 2008 at 2:48 pm
w/r/t success during a recession: I’ve spoken to a couple VCs who are definitely thinking along the same lines as you. Moving one step up in the value foodchain (performance-based models) are definitely getting a lot of attention right now from those that are still looking to invest
October 27, 2008 at 2:32 pm
“I have a theory that affiliate marketing or performance based marketing in general will experience amazing growth during this “recession”.”
Care to share more of your theory? If people won’t have enough money to live decent how would they have money to buy all the crap online?
October 27, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Sure. Online advertising is by far the most transparent way to see exactly how much bang your getting for your buck. Its better then Tv, Newspaper, Radio.
We just signed an advertiser last week for the biggest deal we have ever done here one shoemoney.com.
If your selling “crap” then your in trouble. If you are selling value add services then you will be fine.
October 27, 2008 at 8:04 pm
I would say you are right if you can get people on board. You can see exactly how effective your marketing is, but it is not a traditional area to spend ad dollars in. If you can get buy in then it will grow.
Also, like you said, it depends on what you are selling. Even value add services have to get people to jump the hurdle into spending or working with them.
October 27, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Wow Google needs to make a native Analytics app for the iPhone, that would be so awesome!
October 28, 2008 at 8:30 am
Yes, it will be fine.
October 27, 2008 at 1:35 pm
I always like to see positive growth for internet & affiliate marketing during times when the offline market is plummeting.
I helps drive online user and potential affiliates up, which brings more visitors to blogs that teach others how to make money online.
October 28, 2008 at 10:43 am
I totally agree!
October 27, 2008 at 1:00 pm
Looks sweet. Still wish AT&T had service around here. I haven’t checked but did Azoogle update their toolbar for firefox?
October 27, 2008 at 12:54 pm
It’s only a matter of time before all the other big networks fall in line. I’ve been waiting for an APP like this for a long time.
October 27, 2008 at 12:46 pm
W00t! Another way of viewing my stats! Now I have even more ways to spend my day! Haha.
October 27, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Wah, I want an iphone!
October 27, 2008 at 12:33 pm
Why not get the Google Phone instead?
October 31, 2008 at 11:45 am
iPhone or Google phone, heck for me using Twitter via text on cell is a challenge. How much do I need to clutter my life?
October 27, 2008 at 12:12 pm
It looks great, but it’s going to be released in months! Don’t you wish Apple started following Google and allowed developers to just upload and submit their apps instead of going through a long approval process?
October 28, 2008 at 7:01 pm
Not really because iPhones are for shmucks, real ballers use HTC and don’t care about iPhone apps.
October 27, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Simply amazing, have you ever seen the movie Minority Report? He is just walking down the street and ads are being directed specifically towards him. Advertising is changing fast!
October 27, 2008 at 2:34 pm
Paul,
Funny thing you are saying this as I just saw that same movie yesterday!
October 28, 2008 at 8:32 am
Life does not stand still. This applies to all industries, including advertising. -)
October 27, 2008 at 11:59 am
Hmm, that should be good for people with Iphones.. Now you can check your stats while away from your computer!
October 27, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Yea. Now if only I had an iphone to check it with. ;p But I like the idea and concept. I wonder if this app would work on the ipod touch. If so I could look up the stats on a touch if I get one.
October 27, 2008 at 2:35 pm
So pretty much pay per click ad campaigns are going to be abandoned for cost per action campaigns which are probably more profitable for advertisers..
October 27, 2008 at 8:54 pm
I don`t understand…
What do you mean?
October 28, 2008 at 11:23 am
I’m sorry…what does that iphone application have to do with affiliate marketing? I think I have loss some information somewhere along the lines….I’m confused, can someone feel me in
October 27, 2008 at 9:10 pm
@Ryan McLean: If you have WiFi then yes you can use this on your iPod Touch as well.
October 28, 2008 at 9:29 pm
who want that? I don’t even have a phone.
October 28, 2008 at 9:48 pm
I plan to buy the iphone , this would help
October 27, 2008 at 8:54 pm
Great. Another distraction for people who already over check their stats when they`re on the computer.
November 7, 2008 at 3:41 pm
word…
October 28, 2008 at 10:18 am
Yup, great idea for checking your stats on the go. Google seems to be on heat right now, they just coming up with very brilliant concepts.
