Yes, I agree the oil companies do have a sale just before the election because they understand people are driving less & people start talking about driving more efficient vehicles. I dont disagree with that. But, if you dont see that oil & other consumer prices are totally manipulated regardless of supply & demand you might be the ‘real genius’ sarcasm intended. Gas & consumer prices falls after a economic raping of the average citizen. Just because lowering of prices happened just before an election doesnt mean corporations loved all the Internet chatter about 3rd parties & government backed debtless currency.

This is an economic ripoff cycle…we rip you off, then we let off for awhile, so you can rest & forget that prices still inched upwards, but ‘they are better then $4.50 a gallon by golly!!!” so I guess we don’t need more efficient cars. In the 1970’s we gave the car companies a chance to redeem themselves & the govt gave them a 20 year timeline to fix cars & get mandatory better mileage. 30 years later gas mileage on average is worse. Now we are supposed to save them or America will collapse. lol Obama is the same as McCain a guy who won’t change things too much. Corporations can get behind a guy like that 100%.
