IMBroadcast launched today and looks good so far.  It could be the media center for the industry in the same way that sphinn has become the social media center for Internet Marketers.

There is no longer enough time in the day for me to keep up with all these social media centers.

Digg
Sphinn
Mixx
Reddit etc

I just don’t have time for one more… or do I? No no I don’t… I must resist the urge…. Dammit urge getting strong… urge too strong oh god it starts again.

Just use ping.fm to keep track of everything.

Thats a cool resource Chris, thanks. lol, I agree with clog, just to manny to keep track of. Hey Shoe, you should create one called shoespace “A place for fans of Jeremy”. lol

Shoespace sounds more fun than twitter. LOL

managing our time is really hard and with these new things what can we do. Do we have to be a part of it, but how?

Reply

8 Önder October 23, 2008 at 9:22 am

Very creative. They make a big job with a niche idea i think.

So this is what will happen… I’ll choose to go there for videos there on topics such as IM, SEO, etc because they’re all gathered in one place. My intention will be to learn by listening WHILE I do other work (rather than reading blog after blog every day)… Multitasking! BRILLIANT!
But inevitably I’ll just end up watching the video and get no work done regardless :)
Definitely something I’ll have to check out later though.

Joining the many components of a whole this is a big plus. Yes

Looks like a winner. I hope they have good mods to make sure only IM type videos are being shown. Hate to have spam videos on there.

12 Loren Baker October 23, 2008 at 9:48 am

Thanks. We have all kinds of good mods so we’ll be keeping an eye out for spam :)

I actually never look at sphinn.

14 Danny Cooper October 23, 2008 at 12:37 pm

It’s basically a slower version of Digg :P

Reply

15 Moneybites October 23, 2008 at 9:29 pm

And smaller, its a niche social media site

Reply

16 Griffin October 23, 2008 at 9:56 am

Definitely worth checking out. Going to try to make it over there today and see what’s doing. //g

Reply

17 Griffin October 23, 2008 at 10:01 am

Very slow. Other than that it’s ok – good idea for sure. //g

Wow, nice to have “IM” concentrated video site…! Wonder if the traffic is good?

20 Ben Adkins October 23, 2008 at 10:10 am

I think it’s a great idea. I just hope they do some special things to drive people there. I think that they have a place in the market, but they are going to have to fight the “over-saturation” effect which is becoming very apparent to us all. (My team hears “social networking” and immediately I hear……blah…blah…..another one?!?)
I’m going to give them a shot to win me over..
If I can integrate ping.fm with IMBroadcast soon….I’m there fo sho.

Don’t think so – too addicted. :-)

25 Bryn Youngblut October 23, 2008 at 11:23 am

Alright I guess but I’d still rather just use youtube.

26 Stealth Employed October 23, 2008 at 11:30 am

Looks good but they don’t have a lot of content yet. I’ll give them a 7 day trial run to see how rich the content becomes.

27 Stealth Employed October 23, 2008 at 11:32 am

Dude, Shoe. I just noticed no more Top Commentators on your sidebar. I haven’t been on your top commentator list for a long time but when I was, I got tons of traffic from it. Why did you remove it? Too many hack comment spammers?

Reply

28 Stealth Employed October 23, 2008 at 11:33 am

Nevermind, I just realized you only keep it on the homepage. My bad!

Reply

29 Danny Cooper October 23, 2008 at 12:36 pm

Lol you didn’t expect a site wide link from Jeremy did you?

Reply

30 ethan October 23, 2008 at 12:34 pm

Not a fan of it personally. But I guess it depends on the audience you want to reach. It should be great for those already established as Internet Marketing Coaches.

Time will tell.

31 Danny Cooper October 23, 2008 at 12:36 pm

It seems like a good tactic these people are putting into action. Find popular websites and make niche specific, smaller versions.

Reply

32 ethan October 23, 2008 at 2:05 pm

It sure is the easiest tactic to employ – let others come up with the ideas and then customize them.

THe site looks pretty Kool

34 David October 23, 2008 at 1:57 pm

IM Broadcast doesn’t look bad. Problem is that it’s going to be hard to get the site off the ground and beat out/match its competitors

Reply

35 Lupe October 23, 2008 at 2:43 pm

This reminded me of IMDB, are the two related in any way?

Reply

36 Zeeshan October 23, 2008 at 5:51 pm

Same here, but I suspect the “IM” prefix and the sloppy cinematic reel symbol are why we think its related to Amazon’s IMDB site.

37 Joe Hall October 23, 2008 at 2:54 pm

Loren, if you are reading this, let me say that I am truely impressed! I just added two videos about my latest project and I am looking forward to starting that discussion about them, this is a great tool for those of us in this industry that are trying to showcase a new tool or method. I am very excited!

Anyone else notice the kerning issue in the brand tagline?

It looks as if it says “… Intemet marketers …” as the lowercase letters ‘R’, and ‘N’ have merged to the lowercase letter ‘M’ due to lack of kerning in the logo’s typography.

Sometimes I wonder how sites like those can be so lazy and sloppy in their brand development when professionalism is part of the requirement to succeed in their industry.

I just took a look at it and it looks like a great website. It’s like YouTube except it only has videos for Internet Marketers.

I see nothing new, not even the layout. But I do like the idea of content aggregation.

it is very good to use ..Just signed up now will find the features in it …

The idea can be the same, but even the site design seems cliche. Anyway i am no fan of content aggregation.
