PayDayOne.com is a pay day loan website. They have a quick application process and then the money is deposited directly into your checking account. Pretty nice.
Thanks for the shirt!

So obviously payday loans aren’t for everyone, but there is definitely a segment of the population out there for whom this fulfills a specific need. You have to remember that these companies assume a lot of risk by lending to these folks who typically no one else will lend to.
Looking at a short term loan in terms of APR, really doesn’t make much sense because the balance typically is paid of in much less than a year, but if you must, look at the other options if you find yourself in a bind and can’t pay a doctors bill, need to repair your car or something else.
* If you have a 14-day, $100 no fax payday loan with a $15 loan fee — you pay 391% APR
* If you have a $100 bounced check with $54 NSF/merchant fees to be repaid in 14 days — you pay 1,409% APR
* If you have a $100 credit card balance with a $37 late fee to be repaid in 14 days — you pay 965% APR
* If you have a $100 utility bill with $46 late/reconnect fees to be repaid in 14 days — you pay 1,203% APR

So how much you have borrowed from them. This one is nice colour combination … Red and white.
I think now you should try different face expression.
November 4, 2008 at 2:34 am

October 9, 2008 at 4:05 am
I like the expressions you make in your Free Shirt Friday posts Jeremy! LOL. Do you actually wear these shirts out in public or throw them out after you’re done with your pictures?
October 7, 2008 at 11:35 am
Yay! 800% interest, grab your ankles… dooby dooby dooo
October 7, 2008 at 2:45 am
Wow, sounds like a great service. So do they offer term loans or slary advances? Ok cool, don’t worry about it I’ll just check out their site. Great T-shirt
October 6, 2008 at 7:15 pm
Great idea for a blog post! I’m going to look in to sending you a shirt. Thanks!
October 6, 2008 at 12:00 pm
You are very cool there.
October 5, 2008 at 5:55 pm
The shirt is cool. I like how the 1 stands out. They really wanted to emphasize that, huh?
October 5, 2008 at 5:48 pm
these guys are much worse than what we think of as predatory lenders, they totally take advantage of the poor and stupid and leave them in a bind costing hundreds to thousands of dollars!
October 5, 2008 at 6:12 am
These companies are teh cause of the credit crisis
October 5, 2008 at 2:18 pm
I wouldn’t say that these companies are the cause of the credit crisis, that would be the fault of the mortgage loan industry. but the pay day loan guys are built on the same premise.
1. Give a person money that they can’t afford to pay back.
2. Take everything they have.
October 5, 2008 at 5:43 am
Nice picture (Y)
October 5, 2008 at 3:48 am
pay day loans are horrible. i remember reading about an older man that took out a pay day loan for a few hundred dollars and wound up paying thousands over 10 years or more and wound up homeless.
the pay day loan company had taken control of his paychecks and was actually paying HIM a small amount each month out of his disability check and keeping the rest to pay back the ‘loan’… ouch.
October 4, 2008 at 4:06 pm
Do you choose in the order you receive them? OR do you just choose which one you like?
October 4, 2008 at 1:27 pm
How long is the queue for T-Shirt Friday nowadays?
October 4, 2008 at 12:00 pm
Awesome facial expression!
October 7, 2008 at 2:48 am
Yeah it is, and he’s holding that money like it were a beer mug. Hehehe!
October 4, 2008 at 7:23 am
Check out the APR rates for PD1: 456%!
Talk about a financial meltdown….
October 4, 2008 at 4:21 pm
Where did you get this rate?
That’s pretty outrageous, even for a pay day loan I think.
October 4, 2008 at 7:10 am
This is a great shirt. I think one of the best in the collection.
October 4, 2008 at 3:58 am
Great picture!
How many cupboards do you have to fit all these shirts?
October 4, 2008 at 3:43 am
I think next week’s t-shirt is going to be his best ever!
October 4, 2008 at 2:37 am
I’d scream too if my money clip were full of 1’s.
October 3, 2008 at 9:12 pm
Looks nice …Do you wear only one day ? or will u re use that?
October 3, 2008 at 11:18 pm
Most get worn long enough to snap a picture. The ones he likes, he keeps.
October 3, 2008 at 8:31 pm
Did the bills come with the shirt?
October 3, 2008 at 7:34 pm
Anyone else find the branding for the service also slightly confusing?
The logo states “Pay Day One One” at a quick glance. I think if they placed their focal site address below the logo, it may have helped prevent typos and confusion.
I bet a lot of people try “payday1.com”, “payday1one.com”, “paydayone1.com”, “payday11.com” and other similar variants when trying to access the site.
October 4, 2008 at 4:20 pm
You bring up a good point. When you look back it does seem like it could confuse someone. Maybe the 1 should have been hovering above the text?
October 3, 2008 at 6:44 pm
I think the shirt with the nice red sleeves and the white in the middle. Too bad Pay Day loans are so evil though.
October 4, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Oops…Think is supposed to be “like”.
My bad.
October 3, 2008 at 6:29 pm
you sure do enjoy these t-shirt fridays!
October 3, 2008 at 9:28 pm
I just got my Shoemoney T-Shirt today, I love t-shirt fridays too!
October 3, 2008 at 5:21 pm
Party like a rockstar !!
October 3, 2008 at 4:43 pm
You look like a baby.
October 3, 2008 at 3:27 pm
I love payday – cool shirt brothah.
October 3, 2008 at 3:07 pm
Pay Day One this is amazing buiness because so many people when to have dome cash for xmas.
By the way the Picture is cool
October 3, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Yea these sites are just a bit shady to me. They offer to the people who obviously need the money but probably have ridiculously high interest rates. The shirt is nothing special but your facial expression is priceless!
October 3, 2008 at 2:13 pm
October 4, 2008 at 7:17 am
The image is a success even better -))
October 3, 2008 at 2:12 pm
I bet payday loan companies are killing it right now… probably a nice space to be in given…
October 3, 2008 at 2:28 pm
No… Why bother with the hassle when you can push them as an affiliate
October 4, 2008 at 12:00 pm
Yup, and payday affiliates are obv too
October 3, 2008 at 2:11 pm
Rare to see new web services that are tied to “real life” instead of being purely online.
October 5, 2008 at 2:39 am
Good point! As online advertising is really cheap compared to traditional media it stands to figure that we’ll be seeing more and more of this….
October 3, 2008 at 2:04 pm
It’s all about the pay day loans!!
October 3, 2008 at 2:02 pm
someone looks constipated
October 3, 2008 at 1:52 pm
Nice… We have a proposition to vote on in AZ that puts some tighter restrictions on pay day loans. I wonder how much it’ll affect these guys. I need to get a shirt out to you. Expect that soon.
October 3, 2008 at 1:50 pm
nice facial expression haha
October 3, 2008 at 1:46 pm
I applied for a $700B Payday Loan (for my friends at the Capital), but I’m not sure if I’ll get it.
October 3, 2008 at 2:11 pm
I’m sure if you promise the right politicians a big enough cut you’ll be approved.
October 3, 2008 at 6:43 pm
Congratulations, your loan has been approved!
October 4, 2008 at 12:00 pm
Ha ha, hopefully it will be approved?
October 3, 2008 at 1:41 pm
I hate those pay day advance places. What makes you think you’re gonna be able to pay off what you borrowed with your next paycheck whenever this one didn’t pay off what bills and debt you already had racked up?
Once you do it once, if you’re not very careful, you can get stuck in an infinite loop, and end up going bankrupt.
October 3, 2008 at 1:27 pm
Did you get that money with this free friday shirt?
November 15, 2008 at 10:29 am
No, I think only t-shirt

October 3, 2008 at 1:13 pm

October 3, 2008 at 12:35 pm
Great Photo of you, one of the best!
Money always make me smile!
October 3, 2008 at 12:35 pm
It should say “.com” somewhere on the design…
October 3, 2008 at 1:13 pm
Yes it should.
October 3, 2008 at 2:11 pm
I think .com is a safe assumption. Now if it were .net or .org then it should DEFINITELY say so.
October 3, 2008 at 6:41 pm
Yea, I think it`s much better for branding when they just have their name there without the dot com as it`s a pretty safe guess.
October 3, 2008 at 10:44 pm
I agree if it said .com it would be easier for people to know what it is
October 3, 2008 at 11:14 pm
unless it has their URL on the back……
October 3, 2008 at 12:33 pm
Not sure about the website, but the t-shirt looks cool
October 3, 2008 at 12:21 pm
Is it better than the $132K check???
October 3, 2008 at 4:05 pm
I don’t think anything is better than that!
October 4, 2008 at 12:32 am
A $133k check is.
October 3, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Shoe must be using the service because it looks like he only has $1 bills in that money clip.
October 3, 2008 at 1:12 pm
Good point, I think he puts a $1 bill on the outside so he doesn’t look rich, meanwhile the rest are 100’s.
October 3, 2008 at 2:26 pm
lol… he must not have done well in Vegas.
October 5, 2008 at 2:41 am
That definitely ain’t the case! He’s holding very little paper because he is hoarding gold!
October 3, 2008 at 12:16 pm
this is another tool developed to keep working people working. save your money
October 3, 2008 at 7:27 pm
I have to agree, “pay day” loans attract those who have a low grasp on their finances. It’s truly one of those money lending operations that makes a profit from those in a regrettable position. It further cascades them into a whirlpool of debt in exchange for short, temporary relief from their financial woes.
I actively avoid promoting PPC campaigns that provide pay day loans for this very reason. Its’ a explicitly negative monetisation of the poor, un-educated masses ;(
October 4, 2008 at 12:32 am
Or people who are in a tough spot… you think banks lend to people who actually need money? I’m not a pay day loan or check cashing joint apologist but there’s a business reason they exist and that’s to fill a market need. You think $5 ringtones aren’t a rip either?
October 4, 2008 at 4:16 pm
Or fake weight loss solutions…
Or “free trials” that bill you $50 a month…
Or credit cards with 1% starting and 40% next month…
Yea, the fact of the matter is that shady companies pay more than legitimate companies.
October 5, 2008 at 2:36 am
The morality of moneylending makes a mockery of good human values
October 9, 2008 at 4:06 am
The shirt looks good but I’m not sure about the website.
October 3, 2008 at 12:13 pm
this is your best picture yet J… better than the $152K check lol
