Thank you! You often write very interesting articles. You improved my mood.
December 18, 2008 at 10:54 pm
Im jealous that I missed out on all the fun … Next year I’m going !!!!!!!
October 8, 2008 at 7:10 am
Darren Rowse is the best MMo blogger I hope.I am a great fan of him
October 3, 2008 at 5:41 pm
Haha
You blinked your eye in the end while saying ‘the first and the best’.
GOTCHA!!!
October 2, 2008 at 11:46 pm
I gotta say, I love his Australian accent and how he sneaked in the phrase “Gday”, heh
October 2, 2008 at 2:32 am
Take Darren’s glasses and his accent off and it’s a 95% Shoemoney!
October 1, 2008 at 9:56 pm
I want to be there next year. I am going to make that a goal. To giants talking together with true humility and respect for each other. That was awesome!

I know everyone is going on about how they love video blogging, am I the only one who prefers normal text?
September 30, 2008 at 10:39 pm
Ya man. I just found Darren Rowse’s blog a few days ago. He has a bunch of wicked stuff about making your blog good.
September 30, 2008 at 9:06 pm
I enjoyed your panels at Blogworld — even if you were only in them for a few minutes
September 30, 2008 at 2:02 pm
I prefer a mentor ship type of blogging, as you can always learn more this way than from the common ‘marketing gurus’ out there who claimed to know the secret of making money online.
September 30, 2008 at 11:26 am
I can understand what you mean. There are definitely two distinctive groups of people out there, some who just want to see the action and learn how to make money from a 1st hand
September 30, 2008 at 12:35 am
Darren is the first pro blogger I ever read. When we had just started out blogging (moving from freelance writing and design), Darren was the person whose site really made us see that hey, maybe there really is something to this. We might actually be able to be successful with enough hard work and following all of the excellent advice he gives.
I also think that he seems in both his posts and on videos, very humble, professional and he seems as though he generally wants to help people. Not very many people come across as genuine these days. I definitely think he’s one of the good guys.
September 29, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Shoe, I love these videos. I think there are a lot of insecurities amongst the Blogging world that these Super Bloggers are untouchable and a little super human.
These videos prove that these are real people who have just worked hard and got success. It’s good to put a face to the name.
When you gunna interview yourself
September 29, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Interesting interview, he has a great blog
September 29, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Great interview
September 29, 2008 at 4:54 am
Kewl interview… both you and Darren are people I have high regard for….
September 28, 2008 at 7:43 pm
Great info and words from some great bloggers. Thanks!
September 28, 2008 at 3:12 pm
Its great to know that you all (my fav Expert Bloggers) had a chance to meet ProBlogger. He seems so modest and down to earth. Indeed, his blog by far is the most educational and helpful outthere. Shoemoney you do an extremely good job and add a lot humor and resources. Great job
September 28, 2008 at 12:56 pm
I missed this one this year but will make sure to be on the next. It would’ve been nice to meet Darren in person!
September 28, 2008 at 12:28 pm
Darren was such a nice guy at Elite Retreat, a real gem in this community!!
September 28, 2008 at 11:31 am
Darren’s blog is one of the best I’ve come across. There are so many make money online blogs that are crap, but he’s not in that pile.
September 28, 2008 at 10:47 am
Jeremy,
Thank you for spending some time with me to answer my question at BlogWorld Expo 2008 after your SuperPanel.
I am coming to a crossroads in my family’s financial future, and will have to make some serious decisions in December about our current home ownership and cars.
My dream of quicky ramping up an on-line business is fading rapidly, partially due to lack of focus and information overload.
Looking for any way to ramp up income, blogging for dollars, eZine article writing, HubPages etc.
PPC / PPV is out of the question due to Credit Cards maxing out supporting ‘lifestyle’.
I volunteered to video the BlogWorld sessions, in order to get a chance for some assistance from the thought-leaders like you, Tyler Cruz, Zac Johnson, Jim Kukral, Darren Rowse, and John Chow.
I did not want to intrude in your busy schedules, so refrained from sharing our current situation during such an encouraging and happy atmosphere at the Market Leverage dinner, and the LVCC.
Thank you for being so kind to me and sharing your daughters story with me as I shared our daughter’s serious medical issues at four months.
Just seeking some guidance and direction in order to provide for my family, the corporate environment is not very amenable to my current skill set.
One thing blogging has done is resurrect my dormant love for writing.
Respectfully, Nicholas – ‘the video guy’ at BlogWorld Expo 2008
September 28, 2008 at 10:04 am
You guys look like brothers, and I’m not just referring to the shaved/bald heads! Good to see this and learn from your experiences.
Shoemoney, any particular reason you go with YouTube for videos? I know you have a lot of subscribers there but the quality is lacking compared to, say, Vimeo (John Chow recently tried Viddler, then Vimeo after I suggested it).
September 28, 2008 at 6:16 am
This man is really great. Every tip he wrote is useful.
September 28, 2008 at 6:00 am
Darren knows his stuff.

As a newbie blogger, with dormant writing skills resurfacing, is there any blogging niche not being covered, that with sufficient research and care, could be monetized and pay my living expenses?
Respectfully, Nicholas – ‘the video guy’ at BlogWorld Expo 2008
September 29, 2008 at 7:01 am
I think that almost all profitable areas already occupied. However, I may be wrong.
September 28, 2008 at 1:52 am
Good interview
September 28, 2008 at 1:37 am
I agree. I think ProBlogger is one of (if not) the best blogs about making money on the Internet and running a successful blog.
September 28, 2008 at 12:38 am
Darren always has a humbleness about him that is very appealing. Also, his blog is always full of useful tips. Thanks for the interview.
September 28, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Thats just one of the factors that makes him so popular with “the masses”
September 28, 2008 at 12:09 am
One more thing to make me wish I had gone to BWE! Fun to see you two together (and Wendy Piersall of Sparkplugging in the background being all loud, LOL!).
Darren’s stuff doesn’t have any attitude and it’s a little… carefully written, but Shoe is correct in that he is the original and still the greatest. My blog is doing great and I still read Darren every day.
September 28, 2008 at 4:53 am
This is a self-advertisement. But I watched this blog. Interesting…
October 1, 2008 at 9:50 pm
Yes your right about the differences, and the funny thing is that it points out the differences in the audiences.

Hey, that into with the Shoemoney On Location thing was pretty cool!
“Yeah, so I try to hit up Shoemoney everday…The one and only Shoe. Money.”
Good work Shoe.
September 27, 2008 at 10:32 pm
Thanks for sharing this.
September 27, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Darren has a lot of good info on his blog. I have to admit I don’t check it as often as I should though. Thanks for the video!
September 27, 2008 at 9:19 pm
I absolutely agree with you Shoe. There is no other blog on the web that delivers such high quality and consistent blogging tips online other than problogger.
September 27, 2008 at 8:38 pm
I kept wondering if Sarah from Popcrunch was going to appear.
September 27, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Great little video, you two in my eyes have really pushed me and a few friends to pay more attention to blogging and the possibilities it can bring.
Keep up the good work!
September 27, 2008 at 7:21 pm
really nice video. blogworld is cool. i have to check it out one day
September 27, 2008 at 6:50 pm
great video. i like it.
September 27, 2008 at 6:41 pm
Darren is pretty aweomse
September 27, 2008 at 5:40 pm
nice video
September 27, 2008 at 5:11 pm
Don’t get me wrong its a great blog with a shitload of good information but im not going to blow smoke like the rest…
Sooner or later he will run out of ways to rephrase the same info on writing titles
September 27, 2008 at 11:52 pm
Maybe – but by then the average person will have forgotten the original post anyways!
September 28, 2008 at 8:51 am
You might be right to an extent, but the amount of new info on his blog is also in tonnes…
September 28, 2008 at 11:30 am
Seems like the same could be said about any make money online blog though. I guess that’s why those like John Chow post about other things as well.
September 27, 2008 at 4:57 pm
Darren seems just like I expected in person, nice and casual guy.
September 28, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Yeah, I know a few guys that talk to him, and from what I’ve heard, he’s a amazing guy..
October 1, 2008 at 2:54 pm
Darren has replied to a great deal of my emails, which to me shows he cares about his readers.
September 27, 2008 at 4:46 pm
cool vid, thanks for posting… he has a very nice website too
September 27, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Darren has very clean and impressive blog. Very usual to see hundreds of comments per post. Is it the biggest blog on the planet?
September 27, 2008 at 5:00 pm
Hehe, no it’s not. But It’s most possible one of the biggest blogs that talks about blogging.
September 28, 2008 at 11:02 pm
OK, so what’s the most trafficked blog on the planet Earth? Anyone?
September 27, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Yea, definitely not the biggest for all blogs, but surely up there for blogs about blogging and mmo.
September 28, 2008 at 5:31 am
what if you made a blog that talks about blogs that talk about blogging? uber.
September 28, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Ha ha, not even close..
October 1, 2008 at 2:53 pm
Darren Rowse is the king of Blog about Blogging. But there are much bigger blogs in the technology niche.
September 27, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Is the video of the actual panel up yet?
September 27, 2008 at 3:33 pm
Darren does consistently have great tips on his blog, and even after 4 years into it, he still comes up with even more great content.
It’s hard to imagine that there is that much information in the world about blogging.
October 1, 2008 at 2:53 pm
I totally agree, over 3000 quality posts about blogging, its amazing.
September 27, 2008 at 3:27 pm
Darren Rowse is a great guy. Everyone has a lot to learn from him. I like what you said about him, which is totally true: “There’s only one professional blogger for a blogger”
September 27, 2008 at 3:22 pm
Darren’s blog has always been a great resource to bloggers and this interview proves his knowledge
September 28, 2008 at 4:48 am
It made a very professional to amateur. I think that the secret to talent.
October 2, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Ya man. I’m new to this stuff and am learning lots from ProBlogger.
September 27, 2008 at 3:20 pm
I really need to get Darren’s book.
October 1, 2008 at 3:10 am
You can tell from just his blog that his book has a lot to offer. He’s a very smart man.
October 1, 2008 at 2:52 pm
I bought it as soon as it came available, its just a really indepth guide to blogging basics, nothing new or fantastic.
September 27, 2008 at 3:19 pm
Superstars of blog world!
September 27, 2008 at 3:17 pm
I love problogger… The TOP blog…
September 29, 2008 at 4:55 am
So do I
October 1, 2008 at 3:07 am
She won’t give you her numbers, nice try. Hahaha, just kidding man
September 30, 2008 at 10:40 pm
Well I just started reading it and it is really a great blog. Lots of stuff to make it a top blog.
September 27, 2008 at 3:12 pm
Really smart guy obviously, and he’s right, it is a wonderful thing to meet people face to face, nothing you do online can compare to that.
October 1, 2008 at 3:06 am
Yup, I agree with you there. Doing it old school is better than new school. I mean technology has brought a lot of convenience to our lives, but that doesn’t mean that we now have to interact with each other like machines.
October 1, 2008 at 2:52 pm
I’d love to meet some bloggers in my area, haven’t discovered any yet though
September 27, 2008 at 3:02 pm
ummm… u were drunk last nite
October 1, 2008 at 3:02 am
Hahaha!
September 27, 2008 at 2:54 pm
Great video! I feel exactly the same way Jeremy in regards to Problogger.net and Darren. There is SO much information on the site, every time I visit there’s something new to learn. I’ve only scratched the surface of the site, yet it has made me such a better blogger.
-Andrew
September 27, 2008 at 2:44 pm
I have always thought that Darren is a little boring. But he clearly knows a lot.
September 27, 2008 at 3:09 pm
Obviously man, that’s why peopel read him
September 27, 2008 at 3:19 pm
What gave you the impression he was boring? Most of his posts are very well written!
September 27, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Dident’t say that he don’t write good. That he do. But I guess I’m more a fan of the writing style Shoe and John got.
September 27, 2008 at 9:22 pm
I can understand what you mean. There are definitely two distinctive groups of people out there, some who just want to see the action and learn how to make money from a 1st hand account like Shoe’s and John’s, and others who prefer more mentor-ish styles of blgging like Darren’s.
September 28, 2008 at 3:01 am
I feel all of them seriously rock
September 28, 2008 at 8:46 am
Jeremy Rokxs
September 28, 2008 at 1:19 pm
Each person likes a different style of writing. He wasn’t saying that Daren is boring to everyone, he was just saying he personally doesn’t like the style…
October 2, 2008 at 2:19 pm
I haven’t watched his videos yet. I am reading his blog posts and they aren’t that boring.
September 27, 2008 at 2:39 pm
I agree with you. His blog is great. have to admit I always read your first.
Fan Girl
October 1, 2008 at 2:51 pm
I’m the opposite of you, a Problogger fan boy xD
September 27, 2008 at 2:37 pm
I don’t know if it is me but the audio is just coming out of one speaker, but the intro is fine. Anyone else?
Greg Ellison
October 2, 2008 at 11:39 pm
Same here — after the initial promo for ShoeMoney Tools, the audio in the video shifts to the left audio channel only ;(
September 27, 2008 at 2:28 pm
Nice stuff really. Problogger.net is full of useful stuff and always providing great tips. Thanks for sharing that interview Shoe…
October 1, 2008 at 5:15 am
Pound for pound he is the blogging master. I have learned quite a few techniques that have helped me with some of my old blog projects
October 2, 2008 at 2:18 pm
Ya man. I just started reading it and I am learnings lots. There is too much stuff sometimes though.
September 27, 2008 at 2:06 pm
Video is not there?
September 27, 2008 at 2:12 pm
sorry should be good now i had to make it public
September 29, 2008 at 4:55 am
Good video…. of the people who matter most to me!!!
September 29, 2008 at 1:17 pm
They matter most to the blog community …thanks Shoe
October 2, 2008 at 2:18 pm
How are you related of Darren Rowse? You don’t look like you two are related by just looking at your picture.
