Shoe has stated before that he’s turned to the dark side. I thought last week’s iSwitched shirt was also appropriate considering his recent political switch ;)

Actually… I saw Shoe’s posts supporting Bush in the past, which should have made him pro-mac.

BTW, the tonight’s debate is over. It was kind of funny how both candidates did not really want to attack each other in the very beginning.

Obama has ran a hell of an internet and new media marketing campaign. He has used SEO, wiki’s, email marketing, SMS marketing, etc just about as good as you can do it. He is way up in the polls now after the debate.

The funniest part of the debate for me was how McCain wouldn’t look at Obama or make eye contact at all. He just kept his head down and acted like a grumpy old man. I don’t want a president that can’t make eye contact and be strong against our enemies.

A funny thing I like to think of in a case like this is the fact that when you rank all the countries in the world by gross domestic product, the united states (that you so lovingly refer to as ‘that mess’) is #1. Not #1 by a little bit, but more than the next 4 countries COMBINED. How much do you think your opinion of our next president matters? Would you care what we thought of who should run your government next? Pull your head out of your ass.

It seems like everyone on my twitter, and all the big bloggers support Obama.

I guess I’m different. But I am a soldier, and I’ve seen some things that most americans haven’t.

For everyone 1 bad thing going on in Iraq right now, there is about 20 good things going on as well. But the news doesn’t show you all of that.

Reply

59 JustinM September 26, 2008 at 2:19 pm

Not all Obama supporters think the Iraq war is a complete mess or as bad as it was a year ago. It’s just that we have a lot of other things to think about here in the US including the economy, health care, energy, global warming, poverty, education, and even al qaeda possibly regrouping in afghanistan/pakistan.

Places like Yemen, Iran etc are beautiful, the people have a high standard of living and somehow the US population still seems to think we need to control them… they’ve had enough and we should see that in time before they build a better army to take care of us. my 2 cents – we need more love, not more enemies. Nukes are useless without enemies.

Iraq is a beautiful and peaceful place when Saddam was there just ask the kurds. I am not for the war in Iraq but also those places are full of oppresion and there is basically no middle class in those countries you are either with the oil families or you are not.

Reply

66 Internet Cowboy September 28, 2008 at 11:19 pm

Even if Iraq was the evil place on earth, why in the world did we have to go there? Why not N. Korea, that actually DOES have weapons of mass destruction? Why not finish the job in Afghanistan that actually DID have 9/11 connection? Why do we have to sacrify the lives and the dollars to plant democracy for those, whose lifestyle differs from ours and who won’t fully accept it?

Democracy, paper dollars and wars are the biggest US exports nowadays. I say Ron Paul for president. =)

Shoe-

I’m surprised as a Capitalist that you’d sport the “T”. If Obama wins, those of us that pay taxes may only be able to afford T’s. As a thinking man and Conservative, I’m not much of a fan of McCain either, but he sure as heck beats the alternative. I am a big fan of America and tired of the weenies (including those in our country) that bash our country every time they get the chance.

If other countries are haters, so be it. We’re still the greatest country on earth or people wouldn’t continue to fight to get here. Last I checked, there weren’t too many Americans fighting to gain citizenship in Europe. Go USA!!!!

Reply

90 TYCP Entertainment Magazine September 28, 2008 at 11:18 am

As a European who lives in the States now, I will tell you this: that kind of attitude you have right there is one of the main reasons why a lot of different countries think that Americans are stuck-up holier-than-thou tossers, but keep it up. Keep going.

I know not all Americans are like this because I’ve come across some who don’t act like America is a Holy Land. Anyone who thinks like that about ANY country isn’t too bright, IMO.

I never said I didn’t like America. If you want to hear something even better, I’ve even come across Americans who are sick of some of their fellow ones acting like that, so what does that tell you?

There are people like that in England as well & I think they’re just as annoying.

Those people need to sit their silly asses down & realize that if there really were a perfect country, everyone would be trying to move there. Do you see that happening?

Debates are one and so far in the first Half hour, he stuttered 9 time, He is agreeing with McCain alot on issues just like he did, with Hillary before and stole and adopted all her agenda,
Now they are talking about Russia,
and Obama has the first question , he nervous he does not know what to say, because the NEED CNN to give him all the question last so he can agree and or copy some of McCain issues.
I am sure Campbell Brown wolf blitzer, Anderson Dick lip, will agree Obama will still do a great job then say Obama was not treated fair,
Obama Really wishes CNN is doing this dabate, so they can give Obama all the answers a week before the debate, ,, than make sure Obama was comfortable, and give McCain all hard question, ,,,, watch how CNN use it secret weapon Cambell Brown the New Kieth Oberman to attack McCain and Palin, now stopl CNN so funny no bias no bull ,, and CNN the best political team for Obama should be there slogan, what is with the Obama campaign texting everyone to watch CNN for the debats,, Like they said in the real news,, CNN is on Obama Payroll

I feel bad for my Country if this many people actually think it’s a good idea to put an Inexperienced Socialist in the most powerful position on Earth. With the credit mess we have on our hands this is the worst possible time to put a Socialist in office. I don’t care if you blame Bush for the mess, Obamaspending is not going to help our problem.

And you think that McCain & Palin will do better? America will be even more messed up if McCain gets in power.

Obama won the debate hands down. The polls are even way up for him today. Looks like I won’t be moving to dubai after all.

Reply

134 Popular Wealth September 27, 2008 at 1:11 pm

I actually watched the debate.

Obama got too technical and lost focus a little by getting defensive and trying to appear more likeable whenever McCain told one of his stories.

McCain got busted on double talk and not focusing on issues but instead going straight for the heart strings.

I also didn’t like that NOT printing billions and giving it away was not a possible solution. Yes, the economy would hurt, possibly severely, but the cancer would be removed and we could rebuild afterwards on a much stronger foundation without the added mass debt. Sometimes the heard needs to be refreshed by eliminating the weak and old ways of doing things.

The only thing I appreciated from the debate was the fact that both would be presidents seem willing to hold someone liable for the mess they create. The US HAS people in positions to stop this kind of thing from happening and they failed. We should NOT reward that.

Politics… bleh

McCain – United States of America
Obama – Socialist States of America

McCain may not be perfect, and yes we are in a mess in this country, but wealth redistribution, class warfare and huge government run social programs are not the answer.

I think Obamas repeated use of McCain’s first name was very unprofessional and just a ploy to make it appear they have a friendship and are on the same plain. Obama may be a good speaker but that is all he is.

Reply

141 TYCP Entertainment Magazine September 28, 2008 at 11:21 am

I guess McCain is the United States of America if you want another Bush for another four years. Things will be a million times worse if McCain wins. And the people that voted for him better not complain if he does win.

We do not need another president who thinks that Putin is the president of Germany (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlYp6slGYek)

Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch and ouch.

Ouch 1. Germanys #1 is not a president, it’s a chancellor.
Ouch 2. Germany’s chancellor is a woman and not a guy
Ouch 3. The name of Germany’s chancellor is Angelika Merkel and not Vladimir Putin
Ouch 4. Germany is an important ally in Nato and not a potential threat to the USA
Ouch 5. Germany has no nukes, Russia (President Putin) does

What makes anybody think that this guy would be able to straighten up the economy?

Shirts like these will end up in 3rd world countries (ironically they’re the only ones supporting him anyways) once Obama gets destroyed in the general election.

I’m glad half the morons who showed their support for Obama in this thread don’t either a.) live in America or b.) vote.

Any educated American with a voter’s registration card will vote for McCain. I am very surprised how ignorant some of you are about American politics and think a leftist socialist with terrorist/criminal (Rezko and Ayres) ties can lead our country. Complete redistribution of wealth does not solve capitalistic problems.

I laugh my ass off at those of you who actually believe Obama would cut taxes for 95% of Americans. Just check the records.
