John Reese Is a Pimp (and a Good Friend)

by Jeremy Schoemaker on September 17, 2008 · 147 comments

I was outside doing a interview when my friend John Reese happened to pull up in one of his many exotic sports cars he collects.  Check out how badass this car sounds (let alone looks):

John just came up to hang out and talk to people.  Its not hard to find John at conferences.  Just look for the hacky sack-like circle and who everyone is asking questions ;)

John has been giving me advice for a long time…  and even though I don’t always listen he is usually right.

Out of all the podcasts and interviews I have ever done the one with John Reese has been listened to the most and also is the one I ALWAYS hear feedback about.

Give it a listen and tell me what you think ;)

One day…maybe one day I can have a car like that. You are right when you say it is really nice.
Maybe I can have it in 20 years when it isn’t worth as much

You just have to think that you’ll have that kind of money in the near future to pay for that car.

That’s a pretty cool car. but who really cares about having a cool car considering how bad the economy is and that we should all go green. I know, I know, you’re all going to hate me because of that comment. But hey, if they make these cars drive on hydrogen fuel then they would even be cooler.

Reply

57 Internet Cowboy September 17, 2008 at 2:04 pm

As far as the green topic, I think we will see 100% electric cars, like Tesla Roadster, in mass production much sooner than controversial hydrogen vehicles =)

Reply

58 mrkbsm September 17, 2008 at 8:57 pm

I’m a fan of the hyd. vehicles myself – cleaner technology, from what I’ve seen. I think have piles of batteries in every vehicle would eventually cause it’s own problems.

Reply

59 HSD September 17, 2008 at 4:10 pm

For sure, we’re totally heading in that direction. Ofcourse luxury sports cars wouldn’t be first on the list to go “green”, but they would follow eventually?

Reply

60 Internet Cowboy September 17, 2008 at 8:57 pm

Why “eventually”? You already can get on the list for a 2009 Tesla Roadster, an exotic sports car that is 100% green and does not burn any gas or oil. It makes the 0-60 in the same timeframe as the Lambo in the picture and it is 2-3 times less expensive.

http://www.teslamotors.com/

Reply

61 HSD September 18, 2008 at 5:11 am

i DO NOT consider a Tesla Roadster to be an exotic sports car… who the hell would buy a Telsa? exactly. We’re talkin in the context of lambos n Ferrari’s my friend.

Reply

64 Luke September 17, 2008 at 9:55 pm

That was so awkward. Shoe shook his hand and squeezed his arm, and John tried to hug him. Haha.

Some of the stuff John teaches is right on the money. But he tries to take control of every marketing tactic as if he invented it himself.

Also, he makes most of his money selling “how to make money” products. (At least, i have never seen a John Reese website outside the internet marketing/make money niche since ive known about him and followed him 5+ years).

I don’t like learning from gurus who make the majority of there income selling “how to make money” products. Thats why i like ShoeMoney… he makes millions in Ringtones, AuctionAds, and now probably MMA fighting. That gives him the right – imho – to teach how to make money – cause hes actually doing – and not be selling how to make money products.

JR definitely seems like he is rolling in a lot of money. I think i read somewhere that TS1 profited him over $1MM in less than a month and it continued to sell for another 3 years. The guy is definitely funny about his place in IM though. Whenever he gives credit to someone, he’ll always include that he’s been doing that same thing for even longer. Like if someone is talking about the use of video he’ll say “He definitely knows his stuff on video, he’s been doing it since 2005 (Which is one year after I started using it).” haha.

Very nice car. Its really cool. It kinda sounded like when someone’s outside mowing the lawn and you can hear it from the inside of your home. Just a thought though.

Awesome, that PodCast is off the hook! Thanks for visiting with me after your Super Panel at BlogWorld Expo 2008. I posted some pictures and my Market Leverage dinner review here:

Looking to ramp up on-line income quickly, the money runs out in December, I do not want to go back to Corporate America! Help?

Respectfully, Nicholas ‘the video guy’ at BlogWorld Expo 2008
