What Is Better Than Giving Away A MacBook AIR

By Jeremy Schoemaker 198 comments

So the July-August comment contest which started out as just something I thought I would try seemed to have went over pretty well… we sent out over 65 ShoeMoney shirts world wide to 14 different countries!  Our grand price winner Margie took home the MacBook AIR!

As far as blog traffic the traffic was up about 30% overall and comments increased a decent margin also.

We had many companies offer to sponsor the next contest but I gave Neil Patel over at QuickSprout the option to sponsor again and he said that he loved all the traffic from the first contest and would be happy to give away another Macbook AIR.

I pitched it to Market Leverage and they agreed!

But I wanted to also do something more… so this month we are also giving away a Regular Macbook (yes the one with 2 usb ports and a cd/dvd dual layer).

So the Grand prize winner will now have their choice between the MacBook Air or the standard Macbook and the runner up will get the other

So how does it work again? Each day we will randomly select 1 commentator from that days posts. That person will go into a pool that will be choosen from at the end to win the grand prize or one of the other many prizes we will have. You can check the official comment contest page for more details (and listing of daily winners).

If you or your company would like to donate a product for the next comment contest giveaway please use our contact form. Your prizes must be available to anyone anywhere in the world (where legal).

This contest just like the last is open to anyone anywhere in the world as long as its legal for me to ship to you ;).

Just started my own blog about making money online, and so that means I’ve just started reading and subscribing to your blog.

Wouldn’t it be great if you awarded a new subscriber the macbook as a thank you for subscribing, and to help in his endeavors of becoming the next big blogstar!

LOL. Only kidding… or am I?

I do enjoy reading your blog, and I will probably stay even if I don’t win.

This is such a great opportunity to win some prizes. If you think about all of the scams and other things out there that people get caught up in while trying to get a free macbook, why not just visit this blog. You can read and learn some very valuable info and have a much better chance of winning a computer than almost anywhere else!!! Sweet idea glad to see your keepin it going!!!

Jeremy, thank you for the first contest, and thank you to Neil for the second one, and Market Leverage! I’m in Los Angeles / Burbank at Warner Brothers studios in meetings all week, my blogs are slipping behind for the sake of my day job.

Izeafest sounds like a blast, will you record the speech for us newbies to listen to on your site? Sure would like to attend, but my kids need new school shoes, and the dot com lifestyle is just a few more clicks away.. Respectfully, Nicholas

You know, I don’t normally do these contests, because I won one once and never got my prize. Even after I contacted the contest ‘administrator.’ LOL.

Ok, but Shoe you seem more credible, so I’ll roll with you on this one.

My brother tells me my computer will not make it until Christmas, I’ll be lucky to see Halloween with this thing.

So, winning a Mac would be great. It’s actually a required piece of equipment for a Masters Program I’m enrolling in.

I need to win a Mac Shoe, can you hear me?

Actually while a T-Shirt would be cool, I reckon I would much prefer the model displaying the T-Shirt, but then considering that the wife would probably hang me from the rafters if she turned up on the doorstep perhaps I had better settle for the T-Shirt. If nothing else I can see me taking a great photo of me wearing it with a really great Aussie background and posting it on my blog, with a great article of how it all came about. ;)

Curious to know why are you not offering PC products?

If one Macbook increases traffic 30%, what will two Macbooks do?

    Congratulations, Margie, on your win.
