We have been covering Google Ad Manager since its launch and also since we started using it. The biggest complaint from shoemoney readers was that they could not get accepted into the beta.
Well its now open to everyone who has a Adsense account.
From the Adsense blog:
Now we’re excited to bring those benefits to all publishers. If you have an AdSense account, you can sign in to Ad Manager today. If not, apply for an AdSense account now. A Google AdSense account is a technical requirement for creating an Ad Manager account.
Google Ad manager is pretty awesome. I highly recommend you give it a whirl.

August 27, 2008 at 1:40 pm
Does anyone know if you can use Admanager with glyphius, which I currently use with adsense and adwords?
August 27, 2008 at 9:03 am
Thanks for the article, this is just what I needed (besides a bigger filter of course}
August 27, 2008 at 8:30 am

August 27, 2008 at 6:10 am
Great that google is offering ad manager service for free. I hope there will be significant up rise in earning with adsense.
August 27, 2008 at 2:13 am
wtf! you’ve got to be kidding me…
August 27, 2008 at 2:00 am
It’s nice that Google has the admanager ability, it’s so easy to access everything without remembering a million and a half passwords and logins through Google.
August 27, 2008 at 2:02 am
I mean how they have all your accounts in sync
August 27, 2008 at 12:58 am
Great Post Glad They Allow Adsense Users In Now
August 27, 2008 at 12:27 am
Google just rocks! Hands down, it’s hard to beat ‘em – these guys just keep stickin’ their super effecient noses everywhere…
Sooner or later we’ll be buying gas at a Google Station, and filling up our tires with Google Air, and munching on a McGoogleburgers &
August 27, 2008 at 12:36 am
(whoops) environmentally friendly, low carb Google iFries.
but until Big Brother drops the iron boot, I’ll keep rockin’ the freebies
Probably not for most of your audience, but ad management at this level is new to me – I’m really looking forward to introducing this to my sites – this MUST make running a network of sites a whole lot easier.
August 26, 2008 at 11:51 pm
Maybe I should start using AdSense again as just the Ad Manager itself opening up for everyone (like me) is tempting…
Hopefully, I’ll start seeing better results with AdSense when using this.
August 26, 2008 at 11:42 pm
GOOGLE ADSENSE FUCKING SUCKS! It is a sham. It only serves Google’s pockets and share holders.
99.9% of web publishers & advertisers get screwed and either are wasting their time or money. Do Not listen to these self proclaimed blogging experts, they have an agenda and are trying to con you out of your money!!!
August 28, 2008 at 5:42 am
This is a very one-sided view. I think you can not propose an alternative. This means that your words is empty.
August 26, 2008 at 11:38 pm
It is not really geared towards small publishers, it was developed and being developed for big to huge publishers.
August 26, 2008 at 11:38 pm
I have got to check this out. Its a big thing for us bloggers.Keep it up google.
August 26, 2008 at 11:37 pm
Wow, another great move for Google. I really don’t know about that Adsense Ad Manager thing.. how it works, etc.
August 26, 2008 at 11:26 pm
It saves lot of time.I like this feature.
August 26, 2008 at 10:55 pm
This is a significant improvement to the simple setup screen that exist. I wonder if they will move the Manage Ads, section into this new manager.
August 26, 2008 at 10:54 pm
I had to sign up for adsense so I can try this out.
August 26, 2008 at 10:34 pm
I have been looking forward to this for quite some time, Google seems to be making a lot of positive changes and listening to their customers feedback, what a nice change from the status quo.
August 26, 2008 at 10:02 pm
Thanks for the heads up I will now be able to give it a whirl!
August 26, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Woo hoo!!! I have been wanting to revamp my adsense ads for some time now. What a great excuse to jump right into the new beta. Your Aw3som3z0rz Shoe, as allways.
August 26, 2008 at 8:00 pm
and here I thought I was lucky early last week when I got the email that my application was finally accepted. Very nice tool though, great potential all around.
August 26, 2008 at 6:32 pm
Step1. He uploads porn on my site
Step2. He reports me to google
Step3. I get banned for eternity
Step4. Post useless for me
Step5. /cry
August 26, 2008 at 7:08 pm
That’s su*ks, really – And your AdSense account is banned due to that?
August 27, 2008 at 2:34 pm
Read step4
August 26, 2008 at 6:28 pm
Didn’t mess with the Beta version but this should come in handy. Google never disappoints other than with a few low CPC through adsense from time to time.
August 26, 2008 at 6:26 pm
awesome, thanks for the update
August 26, 2008 at 5:20 pm
hey dude, how bout those who are banned from adsense? cn they still use it?
August 26, 2008 at 5:31 pm
you need to have an adsense account to be able to use Google Ad Manager. “A Google AdSense account is a technical requirement for creating an Ad Manager account.”
August 26, 2008 at 8:47 pm
ok fine thanks…
August 26, 2008 at 4:32 pm
Is there any reason I should drop OpenX and use this instead?
August 26, 2008 at 4:36 pm
yes many… do a simple search.
August 26, 2008 at 4:31 pm
going to check it out right now, thanks for the heads up!
August 26, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Managed to blag’ an invite to the beta a while back, it is an interesting product, bit of an arse moving over from a different system (OpenX or whatever) but I really like it so far. The Geo-Targeting is a great feature btw.
The only gripe is every time I paste code into the Creative it gives back an error the first time (every time).
Other than that a great tool for your rotations, I think it will encourage more people to move away (to an extent) from just using adsence and experiment with other sources of banners.

August 26, 2008 at 4:18 pm
Oh pimp, thanks for the notice.
August 26, 2008 at 4:10 pm
Google AdManager is great, I have tried it and there are lots of great features.
August 27, 2008 at 8:41 am
I think it’s amazing that Google is offering such a powerful tool for free. This is something that would sell for hundreds of dollars at least. Even a simple ad manager for Joomla is expensive!
August 28, 2008 at 7:30 am
It follows with the way google works – they offer many great
services for free, I guess it means that they can be sure of
getting a good take up. I wonder how much it costs google
to do the free stuff compared to their income?
August 26, 2008 at 2:51 pm
I had already been accepted by invitation, but I’m using Google Ad Manager on one of my sites & it’s great.
August 26, 2008 at 2:44 pm
ahh, and where to i could upload my creatives? i think google can serve that
August 26, 2008 at 2:38 pm
I will have to check this out. Need more time.
August 26, 2008 at 2:35 pm
Which is better?
Google Admanager or OpenX
August 26, 2008 at 2:26 pm
It is literally inconceivable that I have not won the t-shirt contest yet. Stupid rand() !!!!
August 26, 2008 at 2:38 pm
good luck on that, seems you would have won by now, how long is left?
August 26, 2008 at 4:37 pm
we already have sponsors for the next one so
August 26, 2008 at 4:40 pm
August 26, 2008 at 2:23 pm
thanks for keeping us updated
August 26, 2008 at 2:23 pm
I have been using it for 3 months, it’s cool but I actually prefer OpenX. Call me old fashioned I guess….
August 26, 2008 at 2:19 pm
this is awesome news. I’m going to have to give it a try.
August 27, 2008 at 9:19 am
This should not try. Serve application need. Quickly.-)) I already gave. -)
August 26, 2008 at 2:09 pm
what if the adsense account is banned ?
August 26, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Uhh my guess is no.
August 27, 2008 at 2:13 am
that simply means you aint gonna use it…
August 26, 2008 at 1:50 pm
Excellent news for those that didn’t get in already
Btw, thanks for adding rpelies back
August 26, 2008 at 1:42 pm
Watching the tutorials now. This tool looks simply amazing with all of the features that they have added into it!
August 26, 2008 at 1:40 pm
not having this was just one of the reasons why i never used adsense. I will take another look and see if it is worth it compared to just rotating my own affiliate ads.
Really im going to have a hard time seeing a situation where adsense makes me more money than a awll placed and well chosen aff link.
what say you? when do YOU think adsense makes more sense?
thanks and take care,
Bry
August 28, 2008 at 7:27 am
Adsense makes sense in that it takes so little effort to setup and maintain. Agree that there is better money to be made with direct sales/affiliates.
August 26, 2008 at 1:38 pm
I am sorry but what does this product do? Help you sell ads?

Thanks for the link Jeremy!
August 26, 2008 at 1:34 pm
HOLY SHIT!
August 26, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Very cool, thanks for the heads up!
August 26, 2008 at 1:17 pm
Sweet, this is the Google product I’ve really been anxious for!
August 26, 2008 at 5:59 pm
Same – it’s about time!!
I like how they allow you to use other ad networks, not just adsense
