I wonder if UFC President Dana White crapped his pants when Fedor completely destroyed Tim Sylvia in a short flurry of punches? Tim had dominated the UFC’s heavyweight division for years and was a last ditch Big Nog submission away from being the title holder again…
In case you missed the Affliction PPV:
Fighters.com was press credentialed for the Affliction card and has a lot of great footage.. especially the post fight press conferences:

I hope one day he gets to fight fedor again.
July 26, 2008 at 8:20 am
Fedor is cocky? Are you drunk?
July 23, 2008 at 10:14 pm
That was fast and furious alright!
July 23, 2008 at 12:55 pm
Fedor is so strong and I am glad he kicked the crap out of TIm
July 23, 2008 at 12:08 pm
i think cro cop dont have a chance against him too xD.. ild like to see shamrock vs emelianenko
July 23, 2008 at 10:36 am
Good punches out there
July 23, 2008 at 7:45 am
This is not the best fight these fighters. Sorry -(
July 23, 2008 at 7:24 am
Fedor is not gonna lose for a long time
I cant agree more with the people that said sylvia looked soft in the middle… he looked very soft and slow.
July 23, 2008 at 12:07 am
Wow Fedor! I feel bad for those in the stands. They probably wanted a longer fight.
July 22, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Sylvia exposed again!
I have to admit that I did have some money on Sylvia (as a 400 dog how could you not) but not much. Everyone expected Fedor to win, but who saw it coming that quickly?
July 22, 2008 at 10:16 am
Good fight.
July 22, 2008 at 7:52 am
He did seem in rather poor physical shape however. Fedor was lean and hungry, and took no prisoners whatsoever! Thanks for sharing this clip, Jeremy!
July 22, 2008 at 7:49 am
Geez, but what a quick one!
July 22, 2008 at 7:21 am
Shoe,
Do you box at all? Great exercise – I include it in my routine.
July 22, 2008 at 1:10 am
Poor Fedor… his fists really took a beating.
You could say that Sylvia got in one shot… if you count when they touched gloves.
July 21, 2008 at 7:36 pm
Hah that was pretty good, every UFC fight i’ve watched ended pretty quickly.
July 21, 2008 at 7:28 pm
Wow, I didn’t realize Fedor was such a stud! I knew he had a great record but after watching a whole bunch of videos of his fights, I’m not sure there’s anyone out there that can compete with him. He brings it harder than anyone I’ve seen.
July 21, 2008 at 6:32 pm
Fedor is not a fighter in the UFC and they are (primarily) in weight classes 2 classes apart. Fedor is a heavy weight (starts at 206) and he weighs in around 225 most times, and Silva is a middleweight (most times) and weighs in at 185. It is a fight that is not likely.
July 21, 2008 at 6:29 pm
The UFC does not allow their fighters to fight in other promotions. Most other promotions do allow cross-promotion fights.
July 21, 2008 at 6:25 pm
You obviously do not pay much attention to MMA. He is not retired at all, just resigned from the UFC so he could peruse a fight with Fedor. He is waiting for his UFC contract to be up and then he will fight Fedor (if the courts allow).
July 21, 2008 at 5:23 pm
Sylvia made one critical mistake that pretty much guaranteed he’d lose.
He showed up.
July 21, 2008 at 4:55 pm
I think that Randy has got something here.
July 21, 2008 at 2:28 pm
I’ve always been amazed that Silvia did as well as he did for so long. He’s a big flabby guy. He’s weak (physically) compared to most of the heavyweights and he just has bad posture.
I wasn’t surprised at all here. The guy needs to go. Once Lessner learns to stay away from those submissions he’s going to dominate like no other
July 21, 2008 at 1:48 pm
I like that Fedor doesn’t just jab for effect, he launches them in and if you don’t defend properly they keep coming hard and fast, ask Silva.
July 21, 2008 at 1:40 pm
Should Cotoure get released out of his contract in October, he should fight Fedor late in the year arguably creating the biggest MMA PPV ever. However, Fedor will destroy Cotoure and leaving Affliction with very little else. The big worry for Dana White and UFC is seeing their fighters jump ship to Affliction, so they need to distribute their revenue better and allow their fighters to brand themselves which just so happens to be the biggest reason why Cotoure wants out and Tito Ortiz leaving.
July 21, 2008 at 1:35 pm
Wow, that was fast, exciting match, would love ot have been there in the crowd. The atmosphere at the ring must have been something else! I havn’t been into boxing much in years but stuff like this is what its all about.
July 21, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Fedor is so fast. I wanted to get a drink while watching PPV good job I didn’t
Affliction was better than UFC by far.
July 21, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Wow, that was faster than the Silva/Irvin fight, but I still think Anderson Silva is the best pound for pound.
July 21, 2008 at 1:17 pm
I don’t think Randy is coming back. He wanted the belt one more time, but I think he’s retired for good this time, focusing on his new acting career. Isn’t Noguera the interim champ now?
July 21, 2008 at 1:12 pm
I cant see him losing.
July 21, 2008 at 12:25 pm
I’ve watched that video so many times and am still amazed at how dominant Fedor was in that fight. Insane!
July 21, 2008 at 11:47 am
Boxings not top of my list of spectator sports, but that was well worth watching!
July 21, 2008 at 11:43 am
Ah yes, good ol Mike Tyson – loved his style, no messing around and always going for the ears…
July 21, 2008 at 11:38 am
i doubt very seriously white gave to shats about the affliction fights.
July 21, 2008 at 11:30 am
I think Anderson Silva might be Fedor’s only challenging opponent in UFC
July 21, 2008 at 11:21 am
How does it work with the different federations; can u not fight in more than one? Would like to see Fedor vs. Silva even though there’s a diff. in weight.
July 21, 2008 at 11:19 am
Yep, that’s true, I noticed that too
July 21, 2008 at 11:18 am
They should have a Fedor – Cro Cop rematch. I don’t think Couture has a chance against Fedor. Maybe in his prime but not now.
July 21, 2008 at 11:16 am
Oh shit, that was too fast! pretty cool, I like that! ROCKSSSS
July 21, 2008 at 11:02 am
Wow. Reminds me of Mike Tyson back in the day… No messing around, straight for the KO
July 21, 2008 at 10:55 am
Affliction put on a solid card. With Donald Trump backing the Affliction promotion, UFC won’t be able to bully them very easily.
July 21, 2008 at 10:55 am
Guess not anymore…
July 21, 2008 at 10:45 am
Sylvia seemed a bit soft in the middle if you ask me.
July 21, 2008 at 10:31 am
that’s amazing. There is no question that Fedor is the real deal. Ugly and cocky as he is, Sylvia is no slouch.
July 21, 2008 at 10:11 am
Im getting more and more into this mma stuff, great entertainment.
July 21, 2008 at 10:09 am
wow nice fight
July 21, 2008 at 10:09 am
I lol’d at “crapped his pants.” Probably did too.
