Selling Some Items On Ebay
Posted on: July 19th, 2008 by Jeremy Schoemaker
I am selling some of my older items on eBay.
My Old Macintosh – Quad 2.5ghz proccessor G5
PC Laptop – This thing rocks and its less then a year old. Its the ultimate travel laptop. Great battery life. Only reason I am selling it is I am all Macintosh now.
I am also selling other various stuff… from dell laptops to docking stations and other various stuff.
Hi I am Jeremy Schoemaker and ShoeMoney.com is my blog. 99% of the post here are done by me but you will see others occasionally make guest posts. This blog is fun to write but for my day job I run several online companies.
More about Jeremy at http://www.shoemoney.com!

shouldn’t this stuff be collectors items>?
July 27, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Heh… Shoe-Luck? More likely foremost and sleuthkit… hope you wiped it good Shoe!
July 26, 2008 at 11:29 pm
Yeah- since it’s your laptop you’ll probably get more for it…
July 23, 2008 at 10:21 pm
hope you get a good price.
July 23, 2008 at 10:40 am
You should “forget” some articles and tools and stuff you did on that laptop. Then it would be worth it
July 22, 2008 at 8:43 am
Already $535 for the laptop huh? I swear you can buy a new one cheaper nowadays. However it probably doesn’t come with Shoe-Luck.
July 22, 2008 at 2:15 am
A bit of speculation has never hurt anyone. It would be nice retrieving some arcane secrets off the hard drives, but given Jeremy’s background I sincerely doubt it.
July 22, 2008 at 2:11 am
That is the only reason why I still have a conventional PC. Can’t wait for Starcraft II to be released next year. Strategy games are my 1st love!
July 22, 2008 at 2:10 am
All sold yet? Did you get your price, Jeremy?
July 21, 2008 at 5:02 pm
Can I get a sticker and a T shirt if I purchase one of your items?
July 21, 2008 at 9:50 am
so does it for Indians :p
July 21, 2008 at 9:50 am
I went to your site and the first blog post with that scary picture SCARED ME!
July 21, 2008 at 9:49 am
I agree. I’ve never sold anything on Ebay yet. So cant really say 100% surely.
July 21, 2008 at 9:41 am
PLaying computer games age is gone now :p
July 21, 2008 at 9:40 am
Good luck with your sale
July 21, 2008 at 7:21 am
Did you wipe the harddrives first? I wouldn’t mind some “Shoe” secrets.
July 21, 2008 at 6:29 am
Wow, you sure are full of compliments!
July 21, 2008 at 6:28 am
Non mac people don’t get it, but once you’ve used and grown accustomed to apple’s products one seldomly reverts back to the conventional pc offerings. That pretty much is what everybody agrees on.
July 21, 2008 at 6:25 am
The equipment should all be subject to devaluation, and selling obsolete or redundant gear on is a cool way to get a little bit back from the original cash invested in purchasing the gear.
July 21, 2008 at 6:23 am
That would equate to vintage ebay status of sorts. Nine years is a long, long time in the world of the internet!
July 21, 2008 at 6:20 am
Well said, brother, well said! The issue of recovering data is a pertinent one though, and your point is well taken!
July 21, 2008 at 6:19 am
Can’t spoonfeed us enough!
July 21, 2008 at 12:11 am
You don’t get lots of money by giving it all away
July 20, 2008 at 9:13 pm
I just got off a game on my spare PC.
Main PC can’t even open a game. No graphics card, just onboard lol!
July 20, 2008 at 7:46 pm
I would bid but I could never say goodbye to my lucky E-machine.
July 20, 2008 at 7:22 pm
With all the money you have why don’t you donate all of this stuff?
July 20, 2008 at 2:27 pm
I don’t play games anymore with my computer.
July 20, 2008 at 2:19 pm
hey Shoe, just curious, why are you all Mac now? security/virus purposes? or other?
July 20, 2008 at 1:25 pm
Maybe i will buy something.
July 20, 2008 at 10:13 am
Getting ready to do the same thing as have switched back to Mac. Has anyone tried any docking stations for MacBook Pro that include DVI?
July 20, 2008 at 9:37 am
that didn’t last long.
July 20, 2008 at 8:49 am
that old quad 2.5 could be my first mac but i am tight budget now so i will just have to take a look. great stuffs there!
July 20, 2008 at 7:31 am

July 20, 2008 at 5:29 am
haha, if I had some money I would bid
July 20, 2008 at 5:03 am
@trizzo you made me laugh out loud…that is a very clever idea…Too bad that Shoemoney ships the goods only in the US.
July 20, 2008 at 4:57 am
this is going to be an easy sell, thanks to your popularity.
July 20, 2008 at 4:41 am
Unless the data is there the hard drives are definitely not worth buying as hard drives cost so little.
July 20, 2008 at 4:40 am
Yeah that sucks for us here in South Africa.
July 20, 2008 at 4:38 am
Yeah that would be interesting to know, we have thought about it….
July 20, 2008 at 4:36 am
Or just want to update the current infrastructure, its a quick way to get rid of the old and bring in the new.
July 20, 2008 at 4:34 am
Hahaha, thats a great way to get some serious cash for a hard drive.
July 20, 2008 at 3:41 am
Nice machine you have for sale!
July 20, 2008 at 2:47 am
Old things are sold. New things are bought.. This cycle of things in nature.
July 20, 2008 at 2:25 am
Considers paying a premium? Used hard drives is a no go imo.
July 20, 2008 at 1:04 am
No matter how much money you scam out of your moron groupies you still will always be an ugly looking pos sorry excuse for a human being.
July 20, 2008 at 1:02 am
You use to be fat and ugly, now you are thinner, still an ugly bastard, and a scammer!

Macintosh is a big deal…. To own Shoemoney’s machine, who made millions with it
Isn’t sounds good? Great resale potential, lets say after 5 years
Unfortunately, I’m not from US
July 19, 2008 at 10:35 pm
Good advertising for your ebay items
July 19, 2008 at 10:32 pm
What made you go all Mac and why? Be interesting to hear.
July 19, 2008 at 9:54 pm
heheh pretty gr8 stuffs there shoe… maybe people here can get a massive discounts?
July 19, 2008 at 9:41 pm
hahaha, yeah I dont think Shoe needs fast cash but usually thats the reason on Digital Point and most other forums where people sell their crap.
July 19, 2008 at 9:41 pm
Yeah I noticed that too. I think I came across eBay in 03 so I’ve been around for 5 years.
July 19, 2008 at 9:39 pm

July 19, 2008 at 9:24 pm

July 19, 2008 at 9:06 pm
lol – how much ‘premium’ will the price be over the average, since it has the Shoemoney association with it…do you think?
July 19, 2008 at 8:48 pm
hmm, sounds great, I’ll take a look at the auction right now. When I was reading the post I came up to ” only reason I am selling ” It came up to my mind ” I need fast cash ” lol
! Imapct of Digital Points Forums, everybody want to sell something because he need fast cash!
July 19, 2008 at 8:32 pm

i didn’t create an account till 01
July 19, 2008 at 8:29 pm
Just a note that there is an extended battery available for the little Vaio that’ll get you 10-12 hours. I know because I have one as my travel laptop. I get 10-12 hours, solar charge it in 2 hours. Fantastic set up.
July 19, 2008 at 8:09 pm
If that were the case, you wouldnt be reading this blog. Troll on brother, troll on!
July 19, 2008 at 7:37 pm
or u could just work hard for yourself and be creative instead of trying to find money making ideas in other people’s old stuff. just a thought.
July 19, 2008 at 7:17 pm
Hrm, could probably use some data recovery software to pull up old biz plans and monetization strategies, and perhaps even IM logs of conversations with the venerable Dillsmack. The data contained within could be priceless…
July 19, 2008 at 7:16 pm
perhaps =P
July 19, 2008 at 7:14 pm
Shoe, are the hard drives on those boxes wiped, or not? If I buy these boxes, can I run thru the drives and find a treasure trove of Shoemoney Inc secrets and ideas on how to be a dot com trillionaire? If so, I will place my bid(s) now.
July 19, 2008 at 7:06 pm
I like to throw you guys off every once in a while.
July 19, 2008 at 7:05 pm
I would have expected a shoppingads (aa), EPN, or CJ link to your auctions shoe… tsk tsk.
July 19, 2008 at 7:00 pm
Always a good way to get rid of stuff you don’t use anymore. I am eyeballin’ the laptop
July 19, 2008 at 6:56 pm

July 19, 2008 at 6:53 pm
This stuff is famous. Its that stuff in the video you shot and Chow shot, right? Should be cool. I’d bid if it were about $100
Good luck shoe.
