Saturday night has 2 awesome MMA events.

Affliction, the popular clothing brand, is putting on a very impressive Pay Per View card and also will be showing the Preliminary bouts for FREE on Fox Sports Network:

    To be honest, the only match I’m really looking forward to on the UFC card is Hermes and Edgar.. So I’ll have to tune away from Affliction for that one and then return :)

    Great idea to put the prelims on free TV. It will be interesting to see how much this increases the PPV viewership.

    Affliction could be a huge move forward for the sport. Loosens UFC’s grip on mainstream MMA.

    Should be a great night. I am going to opt for the free event since UFC seems to have a great card as well so no sense spending money. I think both events should be good ones, will be good to see fedor back at it, hopefully him and couture can get something worked out to fight, now that I would pay for. Great to see the fighters.com up and running will be making an account soon.

    Let’s face it folks, the days of boxing are running out. Now what we need to do is to get amateur status for MMA, so the sport can be incorporated into the Olympics, etc. This will serve as a great feeder system for the Pro ranks.
