Add Sweet Effects To Your Photos With Bling Easy

By Jeremy Schoemaker 66 comments »

Blingeasy

Just got pinged from Joe Daley, the owner of Blingeasy about the sites big launch today. The site lets you add some really fun and cool effects to your pictures very easily. Joe has written this site completely by himself and has spent hardly any money on the project. He is a one man shop.

I really love startups like this. So many people want to believe in the get rich quick overnight stuff but sites like blingeasy will stand the test of time if they can reach a tipping point.

Here are some pics I made:

Best of luck Joe I think its a neat idea.

Ha nice work on the second pic bro.

Seen many of these sites popping around lately, pretty sweet idea actually I am thinking about implementing a feature like this on my image hosting website picpanda.com

very fun looking site. I doubt I will use i, but I can see myspacers all over this!

  4. Geiger said on June 26th, 2008 at 12:35 pm

I forwarded this off to my friend that still uses Microsoft Paintbrush to Photoshop things.

  5. JJDW said on June 26th, 2008 at 12:46 pm

I’d never use it, but i have a pretty good idea this is going to be huge. This is so much better than any of the social media resource websites out there now.

  6. Paul said on June 26th, 2008 at 12:53 pm

That’s hilarious, I have to show this to my photoshop friend. he will love it.

I love to read posts like this from Jeremy. It is great that Jeremy provide his pictures, makes fun of himself, use charisma.
Web marketers and bloggers should learn a lot and do the same.

  20. Melvin said on June 26th, 2008 at 8:07 pm

wow, this is cool.. is the service free?

  21. GP said on June 26th, 2008 at 8:25 pm

  22. jatt said on June 26th, 2008 at 9:00 pm

Thanks Jeremy for sharing, really love this free stuff!

  23. DotDriven said on June 26th, 2008 at 9:06 pm

There are quite a few of these out there already, some very popular too, but they are pretty cool and fun. And they are viral by their very nature so this could do well even with all the competition. Blingeasy looks like it was very well done too!

Joe, If you want to advertise or exchange links with some myspace sites let me know lol ;).

  24. Austin(Cowsgonemadd3) said on June 26th, 2008 at 9:09 pm

Wow thats some cool effects. With a product so good,I’m sure Joe will do well.

  30. Web Marketeer said on June 27th, 2008 at 5:38 am

A bit on the basic side, and quite rough….so definitely not a conventional design resource, but good for some fun pimping out pics, as per Jeremy’s cool examples. Definitely something the social media sites will find useful, but for serious design work.

  31. Web Marketeer said on June 27th, 2008 at 5:42 am

Good luck to the man and his bling easy mission. Kudos to you for the free punt, Jeremy!

Wow, that looks pretty cool. I haven’t seen anything like it before.

  35. Geiger said on June 27th, 2008 at 8:45 am

I wish it loaded faster though. I hate waiting to just thumb through items. I didn’t end up finishing the one because it was a bit slow.

  36. nicole said on June 27th, 2008 at 8:50 am

i love this and wish i could put the dancing cat in our company photo

  37. jeflin said on June 27th, 2008 at 9:25 am

  38. Tom said on June 27th, 2008 at 9:43 am

except for the fact that it creates grainy, pixelated messes…

  39. PPC said on June 27th, 2008 at 10:02 am

Agreed…now to match the tan on the body to the face. Photoshop can do that, but can this?

  40. PPC said on June 27th, 2008 at 10:03 am

    Definitely a “kids” toy….

  41. Paul said on June 27th, 2008 at 5:12 pm

  51. Mayank Rocks said on June 30th, 2008 at 12:03 pm

I second that. Its ugly and advertising, doesnt look good.

  52. Mayank Rocks said on June 30th, 2008 at 12:04 pm

Why is it stupid? I think it looks pretty cool

  53. Mayank Rocks said on June 30th, 2008 at 12:06 pm

Myspacers always find a way to these kinds of stuff. When I goto people’s profiles sometimes, like a teen posted links to their myspace in teen forums….I find only such glittery stuff all over their comments.

  54. Zak Show said on July 1st, 2008 at 4:44 pm

Yep :) cool effects I blogged about this service too and I made a cool funny pic with it!

After taking a 2nd look, i agree with the earlier posts…it’s a kid’s toy, but not real useful.
