AzoogleAds Check Featured On Photoshop Disasters

by Jeremy Schoemaker on June 21, 2008 · 42 comments

Saw a bunch of new unique visitors (a stat that I actually care about) coming from http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2008/06/azoogle-this-was-really-well-thought.html. They featured the fake check/picture that AzoogleAds used in a few magazine ads like over a year ago.

The really cool stat is that the users stayed around an average of 3 minutes coming from the gallery and reading posts and some even subscribing the the feed. Welcome new users!

Its pretty awesome to get traffic from sources outside of your niche.

The thread was doing really well until one of their ace detectives quoted text from the page:

The original page actually states that it’s a poor photoshop:

“This is not a real check it was for a Magazine Ad for AzoogleAds. Yes its photoshop’d (badly). It was an amazingly good campaign for them. Its been on numerous websites who think they have discovered it was fake… even though it says it here. Good for traffic ;) .”

The other comments are pretty hilarious including one about they should have photoshopped in a toupee too lol!

Anyway check it out:

I wonder if this post will make people wonder whether or not the Shoemoney AdSense check is Photoshopped? It looks authentic to me.

Its awesome to get hits from something outside your niche. it just happened to me the other day, someone from moneycentral at msn picked up on a comment I wrote on another blog and I got a ton of hits that day (a ton by my standards, not yours, i’m sure)

I think it did the trick. Because of the controversy over the original check, spelling hundred wrong and the obvious photoshop is the icing on the cake. I liked it.

The best part: P S D added their own watermark to this image, somehow claiming it as theirs.

Haha Shoemaker you should to stuck to making money from adsense I think your new alliances with the likes of Filsaime, Kerns, Jenkins and co will cause your down fall.

Some of the syndicates are in mass damage control after the leaked video’s and phone conversations discussing how they over price their products, work together providing each other with bs reviews, have child molesters in their staff, Check Paulie Sabol one of Mike Filsaime’s crew in Indiana sex offenders registry.

Anyway mass complaints are flooding into the ftc and a great guide has been written about how to get your congressman on board to stop these con men with a step by step guide on how to complain to the ftc and state authorities.

Frank Kerns has already gone into hiding

Consider this a free heads up…
