I have wanted to do special behind the scenes videos at affiliate companies and other online advertising companies. I bounced the idea off of Rocket Profit and they were all in!. So they flew us to New York city to their headquarters, picked us up from the airport in their company limo, and put us up in some nice suites at the W in times square.
This is our first attempt at this and going forward we will be bringing along a professional video person (no offense tigh). The lighting was weird and they were doing street repairs so it was pretty loud…
Anyway if your company would like to fly us in and have us do a “Behind the Scenes” meeting your staff and asking what makes your company tick then please use the contact for or email tigh at shoemoney.com for more information.

Thats awesome! Great inside look inside a great company. I have been working with Phil at Rocket Profit for some time now its great to see the guys on camera!
May 22, 2008 at 8:13 am
I hope more companies do this! Its nice exposure for them and you ask some important questions which gives value to your readers WIN WIN!
May 22, 2008 at 8:14 am
What a great idea. I have been looking at different affiliate companies and these videos provide some great insight into the companies behind the websites.
May 22, 2008 at 8:21 am
awesome concept… allows us to almost be a part of the meeting in a sense… look forward to more of these posts!
May 22, 2008 at 8:29 am
Great concept, it will help small business to grow. Awesome !
May 22, 2008 at 8:37 am
Good idea, I enjoyed it.
Just the music running all the time in the background is a bit annoying.
Cheers

Shoe your good … I have something similar planned, but you beat me to the punch!

Love this behind the scenes stuff. nice
keep it coming shoe
May 22, 2008 at 8:43 am
That’s awesome. I wanted to do something like this… but didn’t want to fly around the country to get it done
May 22, 2008 at 9:04 am
This is very good because we see how people really are.
May 22, 2008 at 9:11 am
And why wouldn’t you want to do this? Good stuff.
May 22, 2008 at 9:19 am
Good new way of showing up some growing companies.. Nice one Shoe, and i would see more of these coming up for sure.
May 22, 2008 at 9:20 am
great idea, i like they way how they started
May 22, 2008 at 9:40 am
I love the idea! Gives me a new outlook on this company! Way to go shoe, and way to go Rocket!
May 22, 2008 at 10:10 am
I think the video looks fine. Graphic inlays look cool too. If anything I’d invest in mics so there is always clear audio, since most of us are interested in what you have to say.
May 22, 2008 at 10:22 am
Good idea, it’s going to be great!
May 22, 2008 at 10:28 am
good interview i use and like rocketprofit.
May 22, 2008 at 10:32 am
Really enjoyed the video but you have to cut the background music. Thanks
May 22, 2008 at 10:36 am
Great idea and I am sure it will only get better from here. When you have too many companies begging to fly you around, just call me.
May 22, 2008 at 11:14 am
Thats an awesome idea.
I am also doing the same thing, if anybody want to get such “behind the scenes” video done, pick me up, give me a suite, take me in Limo and I will get all set
May 22, 2008 at 12:34 pm
I am not sure that a small business could afford to have Shoe come out. Rocket is not a small business in my eyes. But you are right it is a great concept.

check the link to tigh’s website
May 22, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Shoe,
Wow, someone registered and parked TIGHTBUCKLES.COM already !
- Richard
May 22, 2008 at 2:53 pm
yes thats a parked site..
Does shoemoney wants to earn with parked domains ?
May 22, 2008 at 3:48 pm
great idea but that vid was pretty brutal to watch
May 22, 2008 at 4:34 pm
lol.. earning from parked domains I don’t think it’s shoe’s priority
May 22, 2008 at 4:36 pm
That is a really really good idea. Even though the video wasn’t the best quality, I liked it
for sure!
May 22, 2008 at 4:39 pm
This is a great video series you’ll be doing. I can’t wait to see where you go next.
May 22, 2008 at 8:51 pm
Haha all the companies would be a bankrupt soon if everyone starts this trend
May 22, 2008 at 8:53 pm
It might be some one who is trying to make some bucks from this plug from Shoe
May 22, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Amazing insight. I think it would be interesting to see you talk to an average aff manager as well though…
May 22, 2008 at 9:27 pm
It is a great idea and one that a few others like Tyler Cruz have done before.. It will be interesting to see who else takes him up on it..
May 22, 2008 at 9:31 pm
Great! One of your best videos.
Looking forward to seeing more affiliates behind the scenes.
May 22, 2008 at 11:24 pm
Yeah, I agree the background music needs to go it’s somewhat distracting and definitely annoying

But overall a good concept for a video series and I’ll look forward to your next installment…without the background music of course

Thats a great video ! cheers
May 23, 2008 at 6:33 am
How fun, interesting to see where you go next.
May 23, 2008 at 7:16 am
Video is coming into its own online. Really cool to see this all maturing.
May 23, 2008 at 1:08 pm
These guys said “deals” about 200 times during the interview. Would make me *VERY* wary to work with them as an advertiser.
Very cool idea Jeremey. Well executed too!
May 24, 2008 at 3:53 am
Brilliant Idea. We are looking forward to seeing more of these as it shows us what other people are actually doing, awesome insight.
May 24, 2008 at 4:12 am
This kind of video gives you insights no written text could give you. Thanks a lot!
May 24, 2008 at 11:52 am
Hey that’s a clever idea…plus, now you get to travel around the country for free just to video tape meetings that the public is not normally invited into!
May 24, 2008 at 1:41 pm
Nice Video, The music is not best of the world but, Like the scenes !
May 24, 2008 at 10:23 pm
Shoemoney, you have your arms crossed all the time in the video, and this is a big no-no especially when you’re listening to someone. It conveys that you find them boring or that you are reserved / unapproachable.
Just my 2 cents.
May 25, 2008 at 2:16 am
Excellent concept indeed! Only crit is the production quality, which will no doubt be sorted come the next interview. As far as the body language issue is concerned, Syed has a point, but that is easy to adress once one is aware of it. Keep up the good work!
May 27, 2008 at 9:34 pm
I made it to 7 minutes and 15 seconds before I had to stop it because that background music made desk rage! (just like road rage but at a desk)
May 28, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Thanks for that Video ,, hope to see more soon!
June 3, 2008 at 6:27 am
I’ve never had any sucess with RocketProfit – maybe i’ll try them again.
