Live from Sin City – Las Vegas Nevada I did the ShoeMoney show again today with Guest Jennifer Slegg Jenn really helped carry the show cause I am dog ass tiered. I already did 2 radio shows today starting at 6am this morning.
One of the items I wanted to put to rest right away was the rumor of ShoeMoney Media Group INC acquiring the Revenews.com website. I did inquire about its status… I discussed some financial terms with its owner (Vinny Langham) very briefly a long time ago and never pursued any further then that.
That kind of led into other talk about why affiliate “news” sites never seem to do as well as blogs do. I think personally nobody really cares about the news and they want more opinionated talk or real live examples of how it works. Thats just my opinion though.
We also discussed twitter being down…. lost and many other topics.

I think the reason affiliate “news” sites don’t do as well as blogs is because there isn’t enough breaking “news” and/or interesting “news” in regards to affiliate programs to maintain the reader’s interest. With a blog, the author has a bit more freedom to wander off topic and keep things interesting.
I too did not even realize that Twitter was down, too busy with my work. But when I came back yesterday, one guy was spazzing from Twitter withdrawl, but he’s the type that twitters every stupid thing imaginable and like just got a cup of coffee, now drinking coffee..and this is like 20 times a day……..WHO CARES??!!
You are right about affiliate mrktng news sites, the informational, honest and simple how-to’s are the ones that most will seek out, because that is the more useful info.
