Affiliate Programs On The ShoeMoney Show

Affiliate Programs

Jeremy Ehnke of Affiliate Programs was our guest on the ShoeMoney Show last Tuesday. Affiliate Programs is really becoming the goto place for affiliate resources and I see them gaining some serious market share in 2008. They have a great directory of niche targeted programs, a pretty active forum, and one of the best affiliate marketing educational resources I have ever seen.

The first question I had for jeremy of course is did he use twitter. He answered yes and we moved on ;).

We talked extensively about what affiliateprograms.com is and where they are going. Jeremy gave some great answers. Affiliate programs also used to do a TON with poker and still runs Casino Affiliate Programs and Poker Affiliate Programs so talked a bit about the legalities of being a poker affiliate and the future of gambling on the web.

After the break Jenn and I talked about the recent AdSense Screwup and then wrapped up the show! Thanks to Jeremy for coming on!

    This site is very interesting, I’m surprised I never came across it before. Definitely has some great resources on it. I myself wonder were gambling online will be in the next few years, in my opinion it’s going to be a big money maker.

    Got some good friends who are active in online gaming and poker. The growth they’re experiencing is huge. People love to gamble, and this is much easier and more convenient than physically driving to the casino.

    Great resources, I agree with the comment above, as soon as US anti gambling laws are revoked, I expect to see it as a HUGE affiliate industry online.

    It’s hard to say what will happen with law as it is now. I think the Government are only worried about the transfer of money and getting their fair share really. There will always be gambling and poker online and I don’t know if they can enforce their law.

    I agree Luis people can never get rid of their vices. I have a buddy still in college that quit his job and now his current job is online poker. idiot! lol Summer is here so he will hopefully get a job soon before he is broke.

    Gambling is a huge vice, and just like pornography it will be impossible to rid the internet of it. Period.

    BTW do I really have to move to Nebraska if I want to work for you? I have family in Spalding and there is nothing to do however the people are incredible and loved the small town feel. It was a nice break from the hustle.

    Internet gaming is gambling on crack. Tough thing for people with a problem.

    @May 12, 2008 9:04 am
    David Marx Says:

    Have to concur. For people with a problem it is a real issue, as the online environment is merely a mouseclick away, versus physical journey to the casino. This way it is also more difficult for people to watch over a person with an addiction.

    I thought I just had a download quirk with Itunes and the feed, but my last 3-4 episodes have all been cut off about half through. I just get into the show and it cuts off.

    I missed your timeframe for the 50 questions a week ago, but I have a question to presubmit for the next time you do it.

    When you were first starting out, what did you do to be taken seriously to get your foot in the door the first time with some of these large companies and media? In my industry I know I have multiples of traffic over some of my big name competitors but we don’t get the attention or respect that we deserve because we keep a low profile.

    Second followup question….Will you buy me a beer at Pubcon this year? :-)

    Keep it up Jeremy

    Does twitter have much SEO value? It seems interesting but I’m still up in the air about any real value it has. It seems the twitter team has the same question?

    My thoughts exactly it seems more like a journal or where abouts tracking system. I don’t understand why I have to tell strangers what I am doing all day.

    @May 12, 2008 2:26 pm
    Arjun Says:

    It’s not very hard to get into one of the directories. you can contact a member of the AP sales team and they’ll tell you what you need to do.

    AffiliatePrograms.com is nice, but its better to just look at what the big boys are using and go with your gut. Its hard to pick out a network that will treat you right from a list of hundreds.
